Nothing , all good
Great place to stay if you are looking for something individual, a bit unusual and quiet in the middle of nature in the Exmoor National Park!
We were a bit suprised about the location of the accomodation - we did not know that it is quite in the middle of nowhere - but we have been very fine with it in the end!
Hosts very welcoming, breakfasts delicious with eggs from their own chickens and homemade preserves, comfortable bed and spotlessly clean accomodation good location for exploring the delights of Exmoor. If you are looking for peace and tranquility this is the place for you.
Located in a beautiful landscape with walks from the front door and sea, moor, sky and forest.

Flowers in room & cocoa sachets.Excellent breakfast
Comfortable bed, character of property. Good shower. Helpful hosts. Wonderful breakfast.
We had a wonderful stay at Yearnor Mill. The setting was beautiful and our big bedroom was so clean and cosy, it was a pleasure to return to it after a hard days sightseeing ! Our hosts made us feel really at home, breakfast was delicious and we loved all the little touches - like fresh flowers and a great range of fruit and other teas to choose from in our room. We'd love to come back and would definitely recommend Yearnor Mill to our family and friends. There is so much to do in the surrounding area - we stayed for 4 nights, but definitely needed more time ! We especially loved Dunster (the castle is fantastic and you can spend a whole day there), Porlock / Porlock Weir and Tarr Steps. And the views on Exmoor of course.
The roads in the surrounding area are pretty challenging (very steep, lots of sharp bends, no lighting) - the clutch on our van took a bit of a bashing - but that's all part of the charm of the area, and to be expected. Also there is very little mobile signal in this area - again, part of the charm and not necessarily a bad thing to be 'cut off' from the world for a few days !
Wow what an idyllic setting and such a beautiful building which has been loving rebuilt to an excellent standard by the owners. The presentation of the rooms and facilities is superb as is the breakfast. You will not have seen dark until you spend the night here and there is total quiet. We have stayed in many places around the world, but rarely better.
Not a criticism, but we aware that there are 2 ways to get to the property both are single track roads. Go over porlock hill on the A39 and turn right at the restaurant and follow the road round and see the fantastic views, otherwise you will pay £2 on a toll road from hell.
