The Olde Bell  

I was surprised to find there was no bar available to residents and amazed to find out that the bar closed at between 10 and 10.30pm on a Saturday evening

The rooms were beautifully designed. The bar and restaurant were spacious, very comfortable and snug. The garden was large and let children run around. And the food was simply delicious.

My only complaint was the lack of fridge in the rooms. When you are travelling with a baby, fridges are a must. I ended up having to throw a lot of milk and fruit.

A beautifully designed room and public areas, luxurious minimalism, attentive and unobtrusive service,delicious food and a great choice of wines and whiskies - all the elements combined to make a relaxing and enjoyable stay to celebrate our anniversary.

The location and ambiance were just what we wanted.

There seem to be no twin-bedded rooms, and so one of us enjoyed a large comfortable bed and the other was on a trestle bed. The bar is very small and so there was little room on either evening.

The Olde Bell is a really lovely hotel in an idealic setting near the river Thames. Our room in the main hotel was very comfortable and came with with a large bath and walk in shower also. The bar downstairs was very rustic and atmospheric with a large open fire. The restuarant was very large and spacious and both the staff and food were excellent, all in all, what with the weather being fine also for the time of year, made this a truly memorable stay.

The food and drink was in our opinion, slightly on the expensive side for what we had and there was limited choice if you didnt eat fish and some meats. Room only included a buffet breakfast, not a full english as displayed.

Room size = large. Quality bed linen and towels. Free WiFi - although slow. Ample parking Breakfast was very good and included

Best I have stayed in so far. Overall everything considered so far 9/10. Beer wine and food fantastic. Room bar etc etc excellent.

Piped music/radio broadcast in dining roon at breakfast time was somewhat intrusive and unwanted.

The best thing about the Olde Bell was it's charming rooms. The dining area was grande but still retained lots of old world character. bedrooms were beautifully furnished and staff were very welcoming and helpful.

Location accommodation all the pub and grounds generally. A beautiful place to stay and very luxurious.

room did not feel good value for money. I felt it was not comparable to other hotels i have stayed in for the same pric eper room.
