The food was good - fast service for breakfast, but slow in the restaurant in the evening. Excellent location for the city & cathedral, but not a lot to see in the city. I complained at the reception dsk when leaving that the room had been far too hot as the radiator valves had not been turned off before our arrival. This made for a very uncomfortable first night's sleep. I had asked for a quiet room, which this one would have been, had I not had to keep the windows open overnight to get a through draft. This meant that I was subjected to the noise of the traffic outside, but having had experience of hotels, I always pack earplugs, which I put to good use during my stay. The other room problem was that the extractor fan in the bathroom was out of order. The whole building needs a good seeing-to.

Its position. The comfort and cleanliness of the room. The ambience. Service in the restaurant was extremely slow and often done in a rush - which led to mistakes. Not enough staff?

Position of bedroom in the front was very noisy so that window could not be opened for ventilation. Room was very warm although heating was off. As keeping a window open at night was not an option, the room was too warm for comfort. A fan provided only helped to circulate warm air. Make sure you avoid a room fronting the main road.

This was our second stay, and already looking forward to our third. Appart from having a comfortable De Luxe room and excellent meals, the friendly, pleasant staff helped make our "shopping trip".

The staff were really friendly, with lots of info on what to see and how to get to destination. I had to get to Worcester marathon at Sixways Rugby club and the staff printed out a destination map with directions on how to get there

Navigation around this hotel was tricky at first but I soon warmed to the interesting array of nooks and crannies and sloping floors upstairs. The bar and restaurant facilities were good although the menu could have been more adventurous. Only Flora was available for toast. It was a shame that no butter was available. The staff were very pleasant and eager to make the stay as comfortable as possible. They dealt with my needs very well. E.G. pressure of timing schedules they took in their stride. Altogether a very comfortable stay and I will gladly recommend this hotel to my friends.

Character building with beams. Clasic funiture in room, non modern. Lovely atmosphere in dinning and bar area. Breakfast selection good. Dust on shelves in wardrobe (room 27). Bathroom not to standard, poor finsh as water leaked on floor from shower. Cold coffee served at breakfast and also having to ask again and again for top-ups. Breakfast service poor but no fault to staff as only one memeber of staff serving. Liked style of hotel chain and would have considered staying somewhere else with Old English but breakfast let the chain down and would not stay again, overall disappointing experience.

My wife and I were looking for a well situated comfortable hotel and one which was realistically priced. We found the Olde Talbot met with all our requirements and we would certainly recommend it to our friends and family.

The room was very comfortable and teh single bed bigger than I expected. The staff were very helpful and polite. The bar area was friendly and comfortable and the food was good value and very tasty. I had a great time. There was alot of noise outside my window early in the morning. The wardrobe door was rickety and very squeaky. I could not open the window despite it being very stuffy.

Was in a very good location in the city centre but on weekends it can be a bit noisy if in the front of the hotel which I did not mind as it was not that bad . the room was very nice and comfy . it had a good bar downstairs so not far to go for a drink . Need a sat nav to find your way around the maze of doors not that bad really . one bad point though it has no car park so you will have to use the multi story just yards away . could not book a room for one night direct they said it had to be a min of two nights but could book one night on line !!!!!! bit strange that one .

Other than the noise, the hotel was fine but the noise....... You might as well as sleep outside due to the noise. The windows do not prevent any noise getting in. Be prepared to be woken at 5 every morning by the bin men.

there was a wide variety of breakfast options available and the reception staff were friendly and helpful. the noise - the first night I stayed here I did not sleep at all due to cars, alarms, beer deliveries, talking people passing the window on the cobbled road where we were located. The next day I had to go and buy some earplugs just so I would be able to sleep at night. I know it is a listed building so cannot double glaze but maybe specify this or provide earplugs in the room for occupants who are light sleepers.
