Convenient location for a one night pre holiday stay and airport transfer and parking. East Midlands. The hotel is comfortable and clean and ideal for a pre vacation stay when flying from East Midlands. The only criticism is that bigger vehicles are required to accommodate all passengers with luggage. I understand that plans are in hand to resolve this problem.

Hotel staff were all pleasant and helpful. Hotel room and decor was very nice. We stayed because we were flying from east midlands airport and found the airport shuttle service excellent. Cant wait to go on holiday again so we can stay here again.

Attended a party which was held at the hotel so that was why we picked it. Staff and service and facilities all better than expected. Looked a little tired sitting area at entrance. As staff spa etc so good didnt matter. Room was very clean and comfortable. If someone was going to Loughborough would have no hesitation in recommending it. Suits people attending business meeting or a party at the hotel. Entrance sitting area could be brightened up/modernised

Friendly hotel. Excellent breakfast. Quite a bit of regular airport noise. Food was very expensive in the restaurant, but other places to eat locally. Bed wasn't very comfortable and pillows a bit old and flat. Leisure suite good and enjoyed the pool.

The staff and evening meal were excellent. The double glazing was not enough to damp down the aircraft noise. I didn't like the breakfast, as it was not fresh and was buffet style and could not be hot enough.

Spa, pool and gym facilities were fantastic and free to use as a guest. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms were tidy, not huge but very comfortable. Free wifi is a nice touch also, but be aware you have a download limit. Breakfast was excellent. Hotel allowed us to bring our dog with us at no additional cost. Would defo go back to this hotel. We checked in on a sunday after the hotel had an extremely busy Sat night with a wedding and 2 Xmas functions going on. Our room was not ready for occupation at 1400hrs (earliest check in time) and bathroom was not clean (hairs on bath). Looks like the cleaners only gave our room a quick going over. These points are minor and do not detract to how impressed we were with this stay.

Location & public rooms are good. Room was ok, fairly modern but 'well used'. Breakfast, included, was Good. The 'first line' Reception staff were on the young and surly side, seemed to be very admin, rather than customer, orientated. They would do as you asked but no inbuilt friendliness = opportunities lost to enhance the Hotel and our stay. The Executive room we wouldn't hardly describe as Executive compared to most UK & Global standards. Care, the hotel can be Very noisy this time of year with Xmas parties, Discos etc, poor soundproofing.

Unfortunately both my husband were taken ill with sickness and diarhrea nothing to do with the hotel. At 4.15a.M. the staff served us at our request and were most attentive. Unfortunately, we had booked dinner and bed and breakfast but only made one dinner, but were served with our request in our room. Having a dog with us we did find it difficult to find somewhere for Bracken to walk and to releave herself, something that needs to be taken into account, although she too was not well. Bracken our dog was very welcome that is so important to dog owners.

Convenient for the function I was attending. Unfortunately I had to curtail my visit to one night only on the day of my arrival. This was accepted without query or complaint by the hotel.

The quality and comfort. The fact that the spa and swimming area was so nearby and accessible through the hotel. The lovely tranquil atmosphere in that area, the reason we came to the hotel. We were able to walk into Kegworth at nightime within minutes which was a bonus. The quietness od the whole area. In fact another couple came the following weekend and stayed overnight and had a nice meal with you on our recommendation.

Room was a good size and very comfortable - pool and related facilities were very good We were visiting to attend a 60th birthday meal (13 adults and 3 children). Restaurant is quite expensive and there were problems with the food - lukewarm soup had to be sent back to be reheated and the lamb was ordered as well done but was bloody (even after it was sent back to be cooked some more it still was not cooked enough) There was also a mix- up with the mints to go with coffee (we were told that a plate of mints had been put on the wrong table)

Yew Lodge serve "Remy xo Cognac" which is a premium cognac however it is very disappointing that a hotel such as this doesn't even have proper Brandy Glasses to serve this premium drink

Staff were very friendly and always put your needs first. The rooms were very clean and had lots of room. It was quiet and comfortable even though the hotel was clearly fully booked due to a wedding reception that evening ( of Witch we couldn't hear). We ate out at a local pub as the resurant was expensive, food did look lovely. Breakfast was 5* with plenty of it and beautifully cooked. The pool is a must and so clean and tidy. A wonderful hotel, if only we could of stayed longer, we would defanatly go back!x

The room was well-appointed and clean. 24-Hour reception was very helpful. Breakfast was of good quality, varied and plentiful. Our room (No.118) was adjacent to the flat roof where the fridge and freezer fans are located. Consequently, it was difficult to sleep because of the noise from these units, even with the window closed.

“The location was excellent, we stayed there as I had booked my boyfriend in for a driving experience at Prestwold Hall and it was about 5-10 minutes drive. Aslo on the evening we wanted to go for a meal and to the cinema and the cinema was literally aound the corner about 5 minutes walking distance. We ate at an Australlian restaurant which was lovely and that too was about 10 minutes walk. Overall the location was absolutely perfect.” Leanne, York |
