Nobody mentioned there was any wifi.
Really good location, about fifteen minutes walk to the centre. Really happy with our twin room, presumed it would be bunk beds but it was too extremely comfortable singles. Pretty and peaceful location.

Very, very noisy on Saturday night, children running round screaming after 11pm. Drunken men returning at 2.30am making lots of noise.
Good location and very helpful staff

Only three showers on our floor...but they were very clean!
I enjoyed the calm and location of this youth hostel
21 April 2015
No hand soap in the toilet in room
Location was lovely sitting in the garden you would never guess you were on a main road

Booked a room with 2 bunk beds in it and it was pretty expensive for what you got. There wasn't even a spare plug socket to charge your phone. Super basic.
Convenient for travelling to with a group of friends

-Nowhere to securely put your stuff once in the room -Screens could be put over the windows to keep bugs out in the lodge (i normally wouldn't mind but being on the top bunk meant they kept disturbing me)
-Friendly staff (with humor) -Lovely area and nice outdoor space -The room was very nice and the beds were comfortable

The fact that our pre-booked room had been given to someone else and we had been allocated 2 beds in a male dorm ! We are a mother and daughter :)
Very helpful lady on reception called Kate. She went out of her way to find us suitable replacement accommodation in the town centre. Thank you very much.

Oldish building on top of a hill, with its usual struggles. They do their best to keep it clean and today's standards. The wifi doen't reach the rooms only in the main building.
The view was beautiful from my bed, like Christmas in Bath, although it was spring. Fresh air, free parking on the street. Self catering if you want.

We arrived one hour before the check-in time, but there was a doorbell and a paper stating that someone would come to collect our bags if we rang it. No one came after successive rings and we ended up having to wait for the check in time. We could not even take a walk in the city while we waited, because it is quite far from the centre.
The building is pretty, with a nice outer garden, the bed was comfortable and the showers clean.

Shower in quad share room was pretty bizarre!
Able to cook own dinner in communal kitchen, wash & dry clothes economically and chat to fellow travellers
29 March 2015
The showers were hot enough but had very little pressure.
The view across Bath The building itself was a lovely old limestone construction The staff were very friendly The facilities were nice and clean

a bit disappointed about the shower. really hope it's not fixed on the wall. that's not convenient. and some people staying there made the public toilets untidy...
the building of the hostel is old and beautiful! and standing behind the window of kitchen or outside in the garden you'll get a stunning view of the city, especially when it's sunny! some people might not like walking up the hill. if so then don't choose this one. but i quite like it; in the morning walking down the hill to go to the city centre is super for taking pics.

The shower is useless, although tgevwater is hot the flow is very poor.
17 March 2015
Not so much that it was a bad experience but that the room felt a bit depressing and claustrophobic. The simplicity didn't bother us at all and the bunk beds and bedding were very comfortable, but I think a little more could be done to make the room more cheery! Maybe a change of curtains or a nice cheap rug on the floor ....
Conveniently near to walking into Bath. Friendly staff.

Up a hill and up a very steep path- not so good if you are unwell, older or have any health issues.
Wonderful character building with a good view over Bath.

Nice building and environment. Staff is enthusiasm. Beautiful view, can overlook the city from room. Great value of money.

Would be nice to have on site parking rather than the street and having to walk up a steep hill.
A quiet location, friendly staff.

Bad Shower facility(shower head is fixed which is very inconvenient for people to use it. And the shower water is very very weak)
good staff, good environment, clean kitchen and public area.
22 February 2015
A bit noisy with some youngsters staying close and using bathrooms in the middle of the night.
Price, location, friendly staff, own bathroom in our room.
21 February 2015
Sharing shower and toilet although we were lucky it was next to our room. was hoping to include breakfast in the price but having a self catering kitchen helped.
Location, clean, staff, facilities (self catering kitchen)
