It was a lovely old building and the facilities were great!

It was a bit far out of town and for my husband, who has a disability, it was hard to get taxis to and from the hostel because they were nervous about going up the driveway (unnecessarily).

Price was good for Bath area Location was close enough to walk into town but not noisy. Get the bus back if you don't want to handle the hill! Staff on arrival

Cooked breakfast..... Cold stay away and stick to the cereal or toast

YHA Bath is good value for money in a town that is very expensive to stay in. The beds are comfortable, the ambience is lovely.

Parking is quite difficult & you may have to park quite a way down it up the hill, which can be inconvenient if the weather is poor. The self catering kitchen really needs an upgrade, new equipment & floor coverings would be a big umprovement.

Location was good, bus stop is hardly 5min walk.

The room was quite small for couple...but was okay to spent a night over there.

Cleanliness, plenty of showers, nice big eating area and lounge

Located up a very big hill, would recommend getting the bus instead of walking

Quiet location, clean and only 20 minute walk from the centre

The showers were more like dribbles, no power in them.

It is too far away from the train station and city centre. The visitors had better to take bus: 18 or U18 to get here otherwise you need to climb the mountain... and there is not enough plugs in the room.

Friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful building. Great location - only a short drive/walk from Central Bath. Fantastic price.

There wasn't anything I didn't like about it. A brilliant experience.

    nothing

check-in took ages, paid 70£ for one night: bedding was ripped and extremely dirty, so was the whole rool (dust, hair, clogged sink) not even a single hook to place belongings in the bathroom; additional for towel, internet and breakfast each I wish I had spent some more £ and enjoyed my stay rather than being that disgusted... Never again!!!

the surroundings. Large self service cooking area with plenty of kitchen tables to eat at.

Showers had very little water to wash under. Children in large group were not kept under control by their careers. allowed to run noisily through lounge area to get to outside area, from 4pm -9pm Staff & children supervisors were informed. Nothing done. No wifi for first 3 days, then staff did not inform me when it was up and running again. Not a big deal, but should have put a sign up or something to tell it was back on.

The staff were really helpful and friendly and the atmosphere of the place was welcoming and relaxed. Other guests who were staying there were chatty and sociable. Our room was a 4 bed dorm in the main building was quiet and comfortable. The toilets and showers and the self-catering facilities were perfectly adequate. I would stay at this hostel again when visiting Bath.

I was quite worried because some of the reviews were not that good. OK it wasn't the cleanest place in the world and the decor and details were a bit tired and tatty. But you get what you pay for and Bath is expensive. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and overall it was a good, friendly option for a budget stay in Bath.

Having one room en suite for our family of four was wonderful. The shower was large and hot water plentiful. Plenty of space outside to eat meals or just relax. Common spaces were pretty quiet overall though the hostel was busy when we were there. The city bus stops right at the bottom of the driveway making it easy to get in and out of town.

Cooking smells in the main house were overwhelming at times so we chose to eat outside. It might be helpful if housekeeping made a pass through the common bathrooms once a day to check for toilet paper and overflowing trash bins.

Dusty building with work going on. Bedroom smelt of sweaty feet and cat pee. Windows dirty. Generally grim.

The main building, the staff and the seating in the garden.

The heavy smell of damp in the outer building block + it really needed a good clean. (Again the outer block)
