YHA Boscastle  

This was my introduction to theYHA and I was very impressed. The cleanliness was appreciated as were the clean beds, towels and bedding. The staff were helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

Great place and location

Best spot in Boscastle for the best price. No need to pay for other hotels. This is what you need. we stayed in doublebed room. Cleaness and comfort 100%. We arrived after office opening hours and the receptionist waited for us. Many thanks for an excellent stay. Recommend !!!

It was one of the best hostels that I have ever been to. The staff were friendly, helpful and very professional. The hostel lays extremely beautifully, with both the sea and hills within five minutes walk.I will recomend it to all my friends!

The location, situated on the edge of the sea. The comfortable lounge with large spacious bedrooms. I organised a weekend break with 4 friends who had never stayed in a hostel before, they loved it andfound it grat fun,we liked sharing the kitchen and meeting the other people who were staying. We just loved it and will be back again!

Clean, plenty of room, hot showers and right in the heart of Bostcastle.

Wonderful location, beautiful scenery right on the edge of the harbour, within walking distance of restaurants, cafes and the local pub. Great as a base for exploring North Cornwall. The hostel is clean and well laid out, comfortable and peaceful.

Doesn't have cooked breakfasts that other hostels provide, however lots of cafes in walking distance. Also web site only showed dormitory rooms when this hostel does have private rooms and en-suite rooms for rent.

Loved the location and the friendliness of the staff. The facilities were decent and the building itself was very nice. Really liked the fact it was right next to the river and hearing the water lapping at night.

Fellow travellers snoring, can't be helped. Next time I will bring some earplugs.

Couldn't check in until after 5pm but the staff were there by chance and let us leave our packs

Amazing location. Friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful place. Hostel clean and well kept with lashings of hot water.

Location! Right at inlet mouth, 5min from seaview walk. Stunning setting. Rebuilt so everything is new.

No internet. No parking (public parking 5min away). Linen included but not towel, 2GBP. Low ceiling beams on sloping roof edges.

I liked how close it was to the sea,the tranquility of it,everyone was friendly.it was clean and tidy,it had a bike shed for our bikes.

The only negatives to the hostel was the roof tiles banging at night (I must point out there were 80mph winds at the time!!!)

Amazing place: the location is magic; excellent and friendly staff; good hostel: clean, cleared, confortable and nice.

Great location for walkers on the South West Coast Path being right on the path. Good pub nearby and cafes open reasonably early for breakfast in the morning if not wanting to cook.

Every room, including lounge area and kitchen was very clean and inviting. Our room was likewise clean and comfy with a lovely riverside view. Had I known how nice the building/comfort would be beforehand, I would have spent more days here, rather than using a far more expensive hotel for the previous 2 days of our trip. The 'receptionist' was extremely helpful and polite and she was able to help us with recommendations on where to eat at the local pubs etc. I will definitely use this location as a base the next time I visit this area of Cornwall

Niets. Alleen jammer dat je er geen maaltijden en lunches kunt nuttigen, maar de directe omgeving biedt voldoende alternatieven

De staff was vriendelijk en correct, no fuss. De ligging is op zijn minst gezegd aan te raden, net naast een gezellig 'pixie' cafeetje en op een steenworp van het museum of Witchcraft vandaan. De accomodatie voldoet aan moderne eisen, de kamers zijn netjes onderhouden en de keuken en salon bieden aan elke gast meer dan genoeg comfort. De ligging is ideaal voor backpackers en natuurlijke stappers die de overmooie kust en rotspartijen willen exploreren.

Bunk bed

Very clean . Had just visited from another youth hostel which could learn a lot from Boscastle staff. Excellent. Would definitely stay again . More than helpful.

Hard to get to on public transport

For 45 pounds it was a little expensive; the previous night I paid 45 for b & b and a warm comfy bed, especially as I couldn't check in till 5pm. The beds were quite uncomfortable, and the night hostess was very lecturing with rules
