Score from 251 reviews Very good
Comfortable, friendly hostel. Nice small rooms. Reception area was a nice place to sit, with large, open windows.
Security. All the locked doors, but it seems as if everywhere is like it these days.
After traveling all around, I saw the price (much lower) and expected the hostel to dreadful. It was the opposite: great bed and pillow, very clean, all well kept and looking fresh, easy location and nice staff.
I tend to be very critical, but even if I think hard I can come out with something wrong about it. Highly recommended.
Near to station, walking distance to Colleges about 30 minutes with my speed.
Poor flooring, very noisy while people walking even can hear upstairs.
staff kitchen common room
noisy neighbor next room wrinkled bathroom floor no free wifi
Clean room, clean bath room, nice staff.
Kitchen is a little bit small.
The reception area was well presented and the dining area.
Didnt like the noise. Someone outside my room drying their hair very late while i was trying to sleep. My room was next to the toilet so there was constant flushing. Also long hairs on my pillow that didnt belong to me.
The reception was very nice and its self-catering is very good.
Breakfast in the morning is not that great.
The food, the staff, the location, the bedrooms and main rooms.
All the doors are very heavy so make a lot of noise. Is there any way they could bang less early in the morning? Apart from that, everything was great.
This YHA obviously had a refurbish in the recent past. Each bed has its own bed-light and power point. The room had 4 beds and our own ensuite. Plenty of selection for breakfast.
Lounge area a bit cramped with lots of chairs - but they were comfortable, and fitted lots of people in, just fun trying to get out. Some hooks behind the bathroom door would be good. Directions to centre of town were a long way round and past or through the park (not good at night), it seemed much easier to go the other way along the street with lots of restaurants and people and buses if required.
Located in a nice part of the city. Staff was kind and helpful. Very clean and comfy.
Somewhat far from the city center. Walls were a bit too thin, so we could hear all the noise from the corridor.
My first time in a Hostel. Surprisingly much better than many Hotels I've stayed. Very clean, good rooms, facilities, very fair breakfast and a good restaurant.
Close to the train station but a little bit far from the city center and attractions. Need to take a bus or taxi.
Comfortable rooms, clean bathdrooms
The hostel didn't have free wifi
Nice location,clean bed
The receptionist worked slowly, no free internet
This place in a way is hidden. Looking for the #97 in the street and it doesnt follow an order. What I mean is that the houses #96 and #98 are toguether but the other one is in the other side of the street. Very tricky be careful
The style, staff, accessibility and price
Absolutely no sleep. Pathetic ventilation in the room and corridors was so poor that we had to sleep in the lounge space, but also move at 6.30am. Would have had better sleep at home with my toddler!
Location Convenient for our visit to the Folk Festival Kitchen facilities
I thought the booking was for an en suite room Could do with some hooks in the room for clothes The sink water drained straight out on to the roof
Bring ur own shampoo, shower, a cup, toothbrush, toothpaste, towel...
Good location in a quite place. The place has good facilities.
Quite noisy because of poor sound isolation.
Very nice friendly ways n Happy faces! Nice made rooms n comfortable lounge Very good breakfast!
The access to other sections with the budge for to visit friends in other rooms its impossible. Selling the adaptors n the locks. The menu needs some more variety.
All the facilities are new and very clean
a little bit noisy
A very chic, clean and comfortable hostel with very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Non-members would need to pay extra charges for wifi, though (1 pound for 20 mins, or 5 pounds for 24 hours. under-25s may consider a 1 year membership for 7.5 pounds if you are a frequenter in YHA hostels)
Location and refurb. Helpful and friendly staff
Beds and pillows not so comfortable
