The hostel is very close to the train station and not far from Cambridge city center. The staff is very helpful, they try to clean the common spaces but as it is a hostel there is always mess and dirt at a certain point in the day. The prices are also pretty descent.Nice mini-library available at the lounge area where you can read books for free.
Dirty showers if you try to take one at night, prefer daytime right after the staff has cleaned the place. Same for toilets.
My requests were met with kindness. Thank you again.
This was one of the cleanest, nicest hostels I've stayed in. The staff was friendly and accommodating, our room was comfortable, and the common areas were really nice. Good location to go out in town centre, just a 10-15 minute walk to some really fun bars.
the location easy to find from the train station
nothin to say to this
The staff were lovely and professional, the food was very good, the hostel was very clean and tidy....
The type of doors throughout the hostel makes is impossible to sleep! Bang, Bang, Bang all night! As a global traveller this was the worst nights sleep I have ever had in a hostel. In addition the ceilings echoed every footstep - such a shame as the service and facilities were very good!
Facilities are new.
the room was neat spacious as an hostel breakfast was also good the environment was serene the staff was welcoming
no free wifi bathroom floor not deep to get water controlled.
very cosy hostel
internet is too expensive, some shampoo in the shower would be nice
Recommend to the other people
Staff were friendly and helpful, The facilities were clean and well maintained, The food was excellent
An extra pillow on the bed would have made it easier to sleep.
friendliness of the staff
Environment is clean
for double bed we prefer two single quilts but can't supply
Excellent value for money and excellent facilities for an hostel: washing machine, kitchen, etc. The place is brand new and very clean.
It is still an hostel ;)
1) The staff was very friendly 2) The kitchen was open until 10pm! 3) The food was good. 4) Close to the train station. 5) Beds were comfortable.
1) No lift. 2) Room was a bit warm since the heat was left on.
The rooms were recently renovated, and are now in the state of a lower star hotel in my opinion. Also the breakfast/bar area was very nicely done up. All the staff I have met were incredibly friendly and helpful.
The rooms are quite noisy, but I guess this is normal in a youth hostel..
The location of YHA is just really close to the rail station and not far from city centre. The staffs are very helpful and always smiling. You can leave your things in the luggage room for a day after check out and put on £2 on the self operated lockers. They also offer meals for reasonable price.
The shower room on our floor is out of order by the time of my stay. Check out is quite early at 10:00am. It is also a little bit noisy as you can hear the vehicles outside from the room. The gap between beds are quite low so when sitting below I have to duck to avoid hitting my head on to the bed over.
Comfortable, friendly hostel. Nice small rooms. Reception area was a nice place to sit, with large, open windows.
Security. All the locked doors, but it seems as if everywhere is like it these days.
Nice staff and parsimonlous decoration. Clean rooms.
If you stand outside our apartment room, you can enjoy the cool and fresh air. BUT inside, IT must be a hoooooot and stuffy steamer......Bad night.....
After traveling all around, I saw the price (much lower) and expected the hostel to dreadful. It was the opposite: great bed and pillow, very clean, all well kept and looking fresh, easy location and nice staff.
I tend to be very critical, but even if I think hard I can come out with something wrong about it. Highly recommended.
sanitary rooms and bathroom excellent food buses, train station around here friendly waiters and waitresses
room was small, no cups, no table, couldn't even put in 2 suitcases, couldn't even turn around in it with 2 people inside. no hangers, no where to hang my towels and clothes pricey
Near to station, walking distance to Colleges about 30 minutes with my speed.
Poor flooring, very noisy while people walking even can hear upstairs.
staff kitchen common room
noisy neighbor next room wrinkled bathroom floor no free wifi
