7 April 2015
The rooms were large with enough storage. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good atmosphere.

Better car parking
16 March 2015
Clean warm and friendly place to stay
10 March 2015
Not much. It is very cheap and that has to be reflected in some way. For example, there were to towels in the room and we had to book them for 2 pounds. But for the price I won't complain at all.
The price was excellent for a place that offers so much. It is clean, is reasonably well located and the breakfast is good. Staff is friendly and helpful.

It was excellent place to stay - excellent value, very clean, quiet despite being on main road, close to Christchurch uni (walking distance). I was allowed to leave my car there after checking out while the interview took place which was great. Loved Canterbury and interview went well!

Nothing really, though guests should be aware it is not within city walls but a slightly longer walk out of town
Amazing price, newly refurbished so in great condition, very warm and helpful staff. Beautiful building.

Good location, good facilities
29 January 2015
The stairs were in need of a Hoover and there was a minor lady bird infestation in our room, but rather that than wasps I guess!
I loved that it was an old Victorian house and thus had loads of character and really high ceilings. So much so I could stand up on top of the top bunk. Great facilities, good night's sleep, great value for money
19 January 2015
Nothing about the hostel. I was irritated by a guest who coughed loudly and constantly during the night in my dorm.
I loved the bright, characterful nature of the place, with its spiral staircase (kinda!). The staff were superb--friendly and helpful. The lounge was great--plenty of comfortable seats and sofas and a flat screen TV with the best picture I have ever seen. I had an evening meal--it was fine, and good value. There were plenty of toliets and showers and everywhere was spotlessly clean. The location was a 15 minute walk out of the town centre--not a problem for a walker like me. A bus service exists for those who hate walking or cannot walk far.

Very friendly, efficient staff. Good facilities / cleanliness - great lounge. Ample off road parking. Fantastic self catering facilities and dining room. The breakfast that cost me £4.99 was top class and highly recommended. In short - great value for money and I will not be looking for anywhere else when I next stay in Canterbury.

on walking distance to centre. very helpful staff. pleasant atmosfere, plenty of P spaces in low season
17 December 2014
Nothing. Honestly couldn't fault it. The only thing I didn't agree with was the fact that you couldn't consume your own alcohol in room. Every 'hotel' I've been to permits this but the friendly receptionist turned a blind eye anyway ;-)
Great value for money and the room facilities were excellent. Brand new looking beds, bathroom and walk in shower. Highly recommended.

Not enough power sockets in the lounge within reach of seats - a powerstrip extension would probably fix this. Internet access could be better managed and cheaper, say x amount per stay rather than a daily charge.
Feel of property, ease of stay, friendliness of staff, value for money. Parking was a nice bonus
14 December 2014
Rooms were rather small and the toilet need not be so big
Rooms were clean and very comfortable. The toilet was nice.
10 December 2014
service at breakfast, very grumpy and rude man the night wake up caused by alarm because of mindless guests - not fault of personnel, but they should have called police bad condition of windows; opening themselves
location near city center nice lounge clean bathroom in suite room nice and helpful welcome good coffee good price for tasteful breakfast possible to put suite cases into lockers
7 December 2014
Worked up by loud punters at 2 in the morning (not really the YHAs fault) but then again woken up at 3 am by a fire alarm. Also reception wasn't open when it said it would be when we left so weren't able to hand our card back.
Cheap, easy and friendly
1 December 2014
Location is a bit far out of town and from CBW train station, Older people who request a lower bunk could not get one, No way of making sure one has a locker as there are not enough for everyone to have one, Toilets were in incredibly small rooms
How fresh and clean it was, Kitchen was well equipt, bed was comfortable but pillow was not, Showers were a comfortable size and good water supply
25 November 2014
comfortable, clean, a short walk to the town
20 November 2014
The temperature in the room was no more than 16 Celsius degrees, therefore the stay in the room was not convinient at all!!!
