Cooking facilities were ok
Tiny rooms (think broom cupboard) with bunk beds. Not good when you are 6ft 3". Noisy family next door with young children runing up and down stairs, slamming doors and shouting. No full time staff to speak to so we could see about moving rooms. Would not use again
The window needed a better way of keeping open with wind.
We liked meeting new people We loved the egg challenge
It smelt horrible in our room and the kitchen. No hand soap in toilet. Dirty scuffs on walls and across room Noise Expensive!
Friendly staff, amazing value for money. Easy access to Wells, Shepton Mallet, Wookey Hole. Local shops near by.
Small car park but near by on street parking.
Location was great, good parking and large rooms. Very helpful, informative manager and lots of games, etc for kids in communal areas.
Breakfast staff not as friendly or helpful, room was a little too hot overnight, especially on top bunks.
The day I left
The gardens and facilities.
There are two buildings and services of the smallest one are not so good and rooms older and smallers.
Facilities were good, clean and modern
Only opened at 5pm for check in, dorm was tiny, no wifi and was quite a lot of money for what you get
Breakfast was fantastic Good location Friendly and helpful staff Clean Good value
The 4-person shared room was very "compact", ideal for 2 adults and 2 children but very cramped for 4 smelly blokes. But who could complain at that price?
Location - easy walk to town, pubs etc Clean Friendly staff Good interaction with other guests
Very, very small room for four adult males with gear!
Fab value, not luxurious but brilliant
Rooms were really hot, unable to open windows more than a fraction due to safety clips
Large rooms with comfy beds. Plug sockets by every bed. Own kitchen to use
Plugs on my bed didn't work and neither did the light. Bathroom smelt like sick
beds were comfortable; close to a pub;
The staff suggested a lot of nice places :D and very comfortable kitchen.
Limited parking space. The beds were too small for us. I think, we got children room.
We had been before so knew it was just some where for an overnight stop
The person that booked us in did not really know what he was doing. Did not offer any meals etc. There were no sheets available in our room so had to ask for these, as did everyone else. Did not inform us of any available facilities etc
Freindly and helpful staff quaite place close to everything
It was well priced and had a well equipped kitchen. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Some of the rooms smelled a bit of a wet dog. The mattress protector in my room had a yellow stain in the middle - there were dead insects and a dirty sock next to the bed.
Pleasant staff and comfortable stay
i was seriously actually impressed by the non-squeakiness of the top bunk beds! bunkbeds usually rattle or screek when you turn around in them, but these were super solid and roommate-friendly c:
The Price was excellent, the place was Clean and efficient. All the required conveniences in place. The Receptionist was friendly and accomodating. Separate lounge and dining area was very conducive to not feeling crowded.
Rooms next to communal areas meant that was always worried about disturbing people sleeping.
We had a fab stay at the Yha in Cheddar. So close to everything - staff lovely, great value breakfasts and spotless.
view location access staff
room was right next to toilet
We liked the facilities, use of the kitchen and dining areas including the outside seating. I liked that the door needed a code to be able to get into the building, this offered some security. loved exploring the Cheddar Gorge!!!
the rooms were clean and so was the eating/ dining area. The bathrooms were not very clean and smelled poorly unfortunately. Mothing a bit of elbow grease and bleach couldn't fix though.
Breakfast was good. Staff were friendly, if a bit disorganised.
No towels provided - not mentioned on website. Walls are very thin, so take earplugs. Rooms were too hot and shower needs better ventilation. Beds were too small for anyone over 6ft.
The welcome I received was very friendly. Also, the fact that I was on my own in the room was an added bonus. Unusual I know but an added bonus for me!
There wasn't much space in the sitting room and it was right by the reception. A large group had just arrived and i could hear all the communications as I was relaxing
