- good and reasonably priced food prepared on the premises - very friendly staff
Not significant enough to list here.
Cat and Marc were absolutely fantastic hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. The location is breathtaking and the friendliness and ambience of this hostel is superb. This was my first stay in a youth hostel and I would highly recommend it.
Having to leave!
V accommodating - I didn't arrive till nearly midnight, but they made arrangements for me. Fantastic location.
The location Well organised Although not used, the self catering facilities were excellent
The wooden bink beds were so squeaky, need to be tightened. My bed side light did not work. The showers could do with more power
Very friendly and helpful staff. Spacious and well equipped kitchen. Had a 4 bed room - comfortable bunks. Great view.

Unbelievable setting lodged in perfect isolation surrounded by mountains and water streams and greenery. Stunning! Truly unbelievable and well worth the trip!
The staff just couldn't do enough for us. Beautiful remote spot
The walk from coniston!!
The location is great for walking and hiking.
The staff is really friendly and helpful, but their cooking isn't great.
Excellent place, amazing location. Caroline the woman in charge was the best
Location and relaxing quietness.
Not even one dislike.
Remote, quiet, good facilities, well managed - all in all a perfect base for walking the Coniston Fells.
Great location, friendly, warm and loved the food.
Nothing we didn't like.
Excellent location and staff
Lovely little youth hostel up the side of a mountain. Brilliant and helpful staff. Home cooked meals. Exceptional value for money.
The track up to the hostel is passable with care but might not suit all vehicles.
the location and the facilities inc food.
shared room was a bit small and poor ventilation
The area away from the crowds and the two young staff Ben & Katy are just short of brilliant very welcoming and friendly. The food laid on was excellent couldn't ask for more.
It's an old copper mine so there is still some slag on the area in front of the hostel and the mile walk back from town is emotional with sore feet.
Friendly staff, excellent breakfast!
