Score from 275 reviews Fabulous
location; cleanliness; friendly, knowledgeable & supportive staff; garden; good breakfast; good hot and powerful shower; lovely building; good bedding
bunk beds a little short (but I am 6'3"); though clean and functional, hostel would benefit from some refurbishment and re-decoration
Friendly staff, nice nature.
Our room was to close to toilets, was too noisy
no phone signal nice building lovely stream in grounds good nearby pub 5 mins walk
not enough power sockets for phone/gadget addict childeren no internet access
great staff mega helpful beautiful garden lovely setting with stream running through garden
The garden, the house, Exford, beautiful place, very friendly
the noises of the toilett and the users in next room, could be better isolatet.
There was a super pub just over the road for an excellent evening meal. The staff at the YHA were very friendly and helpful. The room was cosy for the 3 of us but adequate, and the bedding was good. Kitchen was well-equipped and clean. Ample parking.
Weather was miserable, but there's not much you can do about that! It is Exmoor after all.
Catered for all our needs, staff really accommodating opened up the kitchen and extremely helpful. Rooms were really clean, good meals, would recommend to anyone.
Showers and toilet rather small (old) that's our only negative.
Location, staff were helpful
expensive considering dorms and not ensuite. Breakfast expensive
Super location; staff were very helpful and friendly. Good breakfast!
I liked the location and the fact that the staff were friendly and helpful
Not much storage space in a room with four bunks, but the room wasn't full when I was there, so it didn't matter. I could keep stuff in my car anyway.
Friendly staff, good location and lovely food though I didnt eat there, others I was with did enjoy the breakfasts. good size lounge and dining room
Bunk rooms a bit cramped. kitchen well supplied but small and difficult to move with a big crowd cooking.
Good full English breakfast including grapefruit
for 3 people the private dorm room was a bit cramped. There was a bunk bed and a single bed but no cupboard space.
The garden Location Dining Area Staff The backyard
Rooms are not spacious and not good for families who got more than two people. Common shared kitchen is small. There are less fridge and freezer for a common shared kitchen, so may be only up to five families can keep the food but there are more than 10 to 15 rooms available.
