The staff were welcoming and helpful. Had a good breakfast Have stayed in hotels that have not had the same standard of cleanliness The grade for the quality of sleep was due to how I sleep in strange places not a reflection on the beds as the mattresses were of a good quality.

Would have been advantageous if it had wifi especially with the amount of international guests staying there The drying room could be improved

Room was really quiet Room and bedding were very clean Very reasonably priced for a private room Central to village

Toilet was downstairs Lounge area was small and dominated by other people so we didn't feel comfortable taking kids in there

Good location, friendly staff, clean facilities.

The amazon rain forest was cooler and less humid than our 6 bedded room. No facilities in separate annex so couldn't get a drink of water in night. However, the drink was my fault and the weather was extremely hot so not the youth hostels fault.

Location is excellent; level of cleanliness and decor is very good; and the bedding is new and much appreciated. Overall the atmosphere and ambience was lovely and very conducive for all. Clearly the staff play a great part in this.

Not enough storage space in kitchen to keep food off worktops/in fridge as required. Perhaps the pricing level of cooked food was too high compared with that of the overnight. There seemed to be few takers which is likely to be a good indicator of this.

Friendliness of the staff. Kitchen was clean.

Parking isn't too easy, but that's not the fault of the hostel! There is more parking nearby which is easy to find in daylight.

It's a lovely building in a convenient and beautiful Peaks location. Everything was very clean and well-organised. The shower was impressively good! Friendly, helpful staff and a great breakfast.

Parking was a bit problematic and closeness to the main road means that there's a bit of noise. The evening meal was good value but dull. All very minor compared with the good stuff.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The location is amazing and was a great base for lovely walks. Service was friendly. Rooms and facilities were comfortable and very clean (the water pressure in the showers was awesome and better than home).

The volunteer that was there at the time of check in was VERY helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. There were two specific occasions where he went beyond what was necessary to look after our needs! One of these occasions was when we needed some soap and so asked if he knew where a shop was to get some and he came to our room and GAVE us a bottle to use instead of us going having to go to the shop.

The location is excellent, I booked a bed in a dormitory, the price was very good, the room and the shared bathroom was very tidy. If you just need a bed, I strongly recommend you.

Parking. On booking.com they said, there is a parking place, and don't need a reservation, what is true, but only about 6 cars can park there. I had no space to park, so i did it on the main road, where you can park for free from Monday to Sunday from 6pm to 8am, from 8am to 6pm only 40 minutes.
