The staff at the YHA were very helpful and friendly. I really appreciated their help in carrying bags (the room was 2 floors up with no lift and I also had an 18 month old and a 4 year old to manage). Little things like giving us left over bread after breakfast so we could feed the ducks on the canal outside was such a nice gesture - the children were delighted :-)
It was very noisy at night! The doors banging and the toilet flushing (our room was next to the toilet) meant I slept very badly on both nights. I know it's hard to make others more considerate. Is there a way to prevent doors banging though with special soft closing mechanisms?
Could have done with an em suite toilet as we are a family with young kids.
Very modern. Full of families. Great evening meal. Lovely breakfast. Beds very really comfy. Could not have been more impressed!
It was do cheap with a Laid back approach. We had a quadruple Private room. The Meals were good value. Clean and comfy. Lovely setting
Couldn't fault it.
The building, the parking nearby, the staff, the breakfast
The dirty carpet in the bedroom
Great staff and super canteen
Great location, comfy bed and friendly staff
Badly equipped self catering kitchen and very noisy... Noise carried through walls and ceilings making it hard to have a good night's sleep.
I like the kitchen it had everything in perfect for cooking tea
Unfortunately I had to share with 4 other work pals not yha ' s fault but would be better if had more than one 1 man rooms
Great location. The food was of a high standard. Staff were polite and helpful. Really like the building.
On the two nights we stayed there i had a very poor nights sleep. The walls are thin, the plumbing kept me awake. When someone turned on the tap next door or pulled a flush it was very loud. We were in room 1. Would like to stay again, will try another room. Ear plugs.
An amazing place. We stayed there the night before v festival. Just wanted somewhere to rest our heads so wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Even cooking us food once we arrived despite the kitchen being closed. The food was also delicious. Rooms were good, comfortable beds and had a good nights sleep. It was a beautiful building with lots of character and history. Will definitely be booking to stay again next year.
I stay here with my children for access visits and we just love it. The staff are so helpful and the games room and lounge are great spaces to hang out.
It's all good
Staff were friendly Food was great We felt safe
Noisy people late at night (just one group of people)
Helpful and friendly staff Great surroundings
Windows didn't open wide, so it was stuffy. Lack of free wi-fi.
Bike Storage Breakfast Location
Interesting building & well-located for local historical sites.Convenient parking. Friendly & helpful staff. YHA café good value for money and staff happy to provide vegetarian option for breakfast and evening meals. Accommodation basic yet clean and cheap but.......
very poor ventilation in bedroom: unpleasantly stuffy and a sense of previous occupants footwear! Shared shower had very poor temperature control: either cold or dangerously scalding hot ( beware unsupervised children!) - not acceptable in this day and age!
your staff are fantastic, extremely helpful, resourceful and operate to a high standard.
was super hot weather so hard to cool rooms
We are a family of 6 and stayed in a 6 room. We loved it. A historical building and right next to a row of fantastic historical buildings on the route to the Iron gorge Bridge.Great car park, good cafe. We were lucky as stayed on a Saturday night so it was BBQ night. Comfortable, clean room and bathrooms. We hope to go back again one day. It has inspired us to do more hosteling!.
- Kitchen facilities - Great breakfast - Location and building are fantastic - beatiful walk to Ironbridge - Large parking
- Quite a long walk in the building to our room
Great location and value for money. Having never stayed in one before the facilities were better than we had expected for a youth hostel. The staff are so friendly and cannot do enough for you.
Lounge area of the building was very warm but weather didn't help. Window restrictors limit how far they open for H&S.
brill to stay there

Liked everything, staff very helpful, clean , peaceful, would and have recommended to others.
