After a stressful period of exams and assignments, we wanted to spend a week somewhere close to nature, and we couldn't have made a better choice than YHA Lizard.
Perched on top of a cliff and by a lighthouse, this hostel is conveniently located whether you want to go hiking, walk to the beach or take a bus to other Cornish towns. The views from the garden and our room were simply breathtaking; waking up to the sight of rabbits playing in the garden, and the blue sea further ahead, is something we won't forget anytime soon (we had the triple room on the ground floor, just by the reception). The cleanliness was second to none, and the volunteers running the hostel treated us like friends rather than guests. The kitchen is big, and has all the facilities you would expect for a self-catering accommodation. The massive lounge area is slightly underused, but with so much open space and outdoor seating, this is not entirely surprising.
All in all, we had an incredible time here, and cannot wait to go back. I have already recommended this place to some of my friends, and one of them has already booked her holiday here.
