Staff are quite nice and the price is cheap on London.
The area is lovely where the hostel is. The facilities are what you expect for a hostel. Continental breakfast great for £5. They allowed luggage storage after check out real help so we could enjoy our last day. Returning in the evening to collect luggage and use kitchen etc before leaving at 8pm. Garden be lovely in summer.
We had our own triple room bottom double bunk could have been comfier, but fine for a couple days.
I felt safe in London. Good value for money. No problems. I chose YHA hostel, because I thought it should be ok. It is a well known organisation that helps young people ...so we are helping the new generation when staying there.
I wish I could have a cup of coffee there. It would be a nice surprise to have something free of charge.
The hostel is a bit far from the center of London (1h30 by walking) so you can't hang out the evening or you have to take the bus !
Honest hostel, quite clean and comfortable. Very good location for me (going to Shepherd's Bush and Paddington)
Some hostel drama on Friday night, with a Spanish girl screaming in the hall after midnight when I came back, but you cannot blame the hostel for that. Still the staff was too little (just a girl) so she neglected some guests (including me)
We stayed here for the sake of the budget, and the location was much better than expected. It's a hostel, with hostel-type facilities. Nice easy walking to tube stop and local cafes. Very quiet at night.
Paying for wi-fi?? Was very light outside the room window. I'd suggest a sleeping mask.
Location for easyBus to Gatwick.
With six in a room and two snoring loudly, my sleep was not as good as it could have been. Otherwise, the place was nice for a hostel.
SPACE, COMPUTER ROOM. KITCHEN THE STAFF EXCELLENT
CAN NOT THINK OF ANYTHING.
Location was great from Heathrow via the Underground. Lots of choices nearby for meals, etc.
Room had bed. That's it.....no chair, no table of any sort, had to put all my gear on the floor.
the price is worth and it is close to the Earl's Court tube station
I stayed there for three nights but nobody came here to clean personal area
Cosy lounge, staff and service.
Steep stairs and neighbours' noise.
Very very helpful staff! Thank you!
Remember: no lift!!
We were three and had a room for three people and our ine toilet(!!!) that was unexpected but we were more than satisfied when happened. the room was clean,on the back and lower level of the building ,in the garden. Also in an EXCELLENT location ,only 5 stops from Westminster!really near in supermarkets, stores ,pubs and buses stops. Also the neighborhood was absolutely beautiful !
Charges for everything extra.2 pounds for towels, charges for locks to put the baggage in store, for the breakfast etc. So if you have your own towels, and you eat breakfast outside of the hostel (like we did) you are good.
When you live together with other guys that you don't know, there will be a problem of time. Some guys prefer to sleep around 10pm, it's normal. But some stupid guys came back around 3 or 4 am, with great noise, and the stupid floor will make noise when you walk, why don't you change it into Carpet and try to divide groups according to the time of sleep.
Staff was helpful and getting our refund from the Original Bus Hop in and Out bus. There was a rally going on, so we were not able to get to the sites, stayed in the traffic almost 3 hours because the bus driver keep assuring us his detouring can make up for the loss time. Unfortunately we almost did not get anywhere that entire day. And we heard the same thing over and over again in our audio. The staff was helpful in airing our concerns to the Original Bus Company and got a full refund for 4 tickets. Probably the only good thing about our stay here.
Our room window cannot open, even the maintenance cannot do anything about it, plus they do not have electric fan to lend us. It was very hot and stuffy without any ventilation. Noisy corridors from guests who checked-in late and heavy door bangings, rolling and dropping the suitcase on the the stairs, at 2:30 AM! Clogged shower drain, move to another shower room but turns out there was no light . Change the 3rd time and the shower fixture is pushed type and will stop water from running if you don't kept it press down. Lavatory sink was clogged too with no water coming out on the cold faucet so you have to bear with hot water if you don't mind burning yourself. Very expensive for a hostel. Probably the most horrible place we stayed in all the 11 bookings I made for our UK trip
Great location Great price Close to the Underground Good showers Luggage storage Our own room
Kitchen poorly equipped and on the small side for a big hostel
Cards available for a deposit
No table in the room
The Kitchen and the extra toilets are the only things that are good about the place
The rooms are overcrowded with old people that are snoring the whole time. They should group people according to their age, as you feel are in retirement housing and not in a youth hostel. No breakfast and have to pay for internet.
Location, friendly staff
This is the worst hostel I have stayed in in Europe. . .dirty, noisy due to thin walls, windows that don't close, horrible and smelly toilet facilities, street noise. You have got to be desperate to stay here. Never again.
Location is excellent.
But the toilets are disgusting. Should be cleaned more often. No european plugs available. It is sold for 4 pounds.
Excellent location in quieter, traditional neighborhood with pubs and cafes. Very friendly staff, nice, clean common areas, good atmosphere.
If only they had a handyman that was a little more active: noisy fan, non-flushing toilets, dripping showers…Luckily there were enough facilities available to choose from.
Quiet (other roommates not wothstanding) Good location
The location and shower pressure
Paying for a towel. Free wifi not available to everyone and the lockers in rooms that are under beds aren't big enough also need plugs up by top bunks.
very nice location walking distance to national history museum and hyde park
no table in the room ... 3rd floor toilet is too small
The staff is always young and friendly. You feel free and welcome. Absolutely nothing you can really critisize. Wooden bed, you can lock your private things. You can cook your coffee in the morning there in the kitchen. In Summertimes join the garden.
Might be a litzle bit cleaner. Flip flops might be helpful in the showers
