Excellent staff. Very friendly, even gave us a complimentary drink whilst we were waiting, even though we had arrived before check-in.
First time at a youth hostel and we were very impressed. A very friendly environment.
The drainage in the en suite was slow therefore the bathroom had a damp smell which was quite strong.
Everything and everyone.
I prefer the self-catering traditional hostels (but only just!).
Staff very helpfull
Everything was ok
location, staff and facilities
The beds and young kids still running round the bar after midnight, breaking the pool table, while their parents (assumption) got drunk.
Staff in the evenings we're warm and welcoming but had a lot to do between two of them. Room was decent size and layout. Outside area was great, especially for the children. Sofa area and pool table was a good facility.
On arrival there was little choice of hot food from the menu-only pizza available. My daughter had the last hot dog with no fries as there were none but we still paid full price! Morning staff we're quite abrupt and quality of hot food was poor-sausages & bacon we're very chewy. Rooms we're very hot at night despit it not being very hot weather. Fire door at end of corridor was left open overnight and difficult to shut.
Staff is really helping. Fiona is excellent . I called her at 2 in thenight due to wrong GPS navigation. She helped a lot. while we lost signals during the call she cared to text the details. Many thanks to her. :)
Plz mention smewhere that one needs o move one plot ahead as GPS stops at one place before.which is a bit confusng at night.
Great YHA - bar, canteen area for breakfast and good games facilities. Beautiful terrace too overlooking the countryside. Excellent value for money.
It was a great location and had great facilities for a boot camp.
Small bedroom for 4 adults. We were tripping over one another.

Location Duty Manager acted professionally on my early departure and agreed that she would not like to have been treated in the same way as my family.
Staff that tell you to wait until 7pm to order food for your 5 year old little boy. Then when you go to the bar at 715pm you are told they are no longer serving food. The reason given being that a large party had arrived, which I saw no evidence of in ways of car, minibuses or coaches in the car park. This then leaves you trying to find something to eat in a strange location. This behaviour of the staff left me with no alternative but to cut my stay short and find another base to take my little boy for his only holiday this year. I am now expecting a refund as I had to find a alternative location for the next 3 days. Fortunately a relative booked an Holiday Inn Express for £4 a night extra than the YHA which included free breakfast and professional staff who treated my little boy with a free drinking chocolate for the hard time that he had had!
