availability, access to routes
more ventillation would make the atmosphere even more friendly
Informal but helpful atmosphere.
Didn't affect us but parking might be a problem.
Incredibly lovely staff.
No runners breakfast for the marathon! No wifi but understandable given the location
Great location and easy to find, the breakfast was just what we needed to set us up before our climb! Friendly and informative staff. Would recommend to friends as great value for money too.
I found the bed a little uncomfortable but I am quite hard to please.
Staff Location Facilities Clean , showers were clean and Hot
Matress could be firmer thats all otherwise 10/10
The drying room, the staff, my bed, the swimming baths style showers. The fact I had the choice of a twin room and not a dorm. The board games, the kitchen facilities, the trustworthiness of all the residents, the cleanliness. Best of all was our proximity to Snowdon: just across the road!
There wasn't anything I didn't like.
Great Location, Lovely clean fresh looking hostel with fantastic facilities, friendly helpful staff, and all at a great price.
Only small issue, is that our room was next to the walkthrough from the main hostel to the self catering kitchen, so banging of heavy fire doors was very noticeable and quite noisy from very early, until very late - (but in comparison to the rest of the stay this was only minor issue that can certainly be overlooked)
Located at the start of the miners track. Friendly staff Perfect facilities for purpose of our trip True to photos!
Youth hostels can be a little noisy but I personally thought the noise was fine. After climbing you will sleep like a log anyway.
Staff were friendly and welcoming
Great location, facilities and price. Staff very helpful too.
Limited car parking available. Only alternative is pay parking opposite.
Mainly the atmosphere & the helpfulness of the staff The location was superb
Nothing it was all good
Liked the staff, guests, food, cleanliness, location, facilities ie. drying room, board games etc, comfortable seating area, warmth.
Bedroom not very sound proof.
Pleasantly surprised by the facilities, the quality of the food and the comfort of the accommodation. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We have 2 boys (10 & 12) who really enjoyed it too. It was great to get away from Wifi and a phone signal! We will definitely be back.
The location at the foot of the Miners' Track and Pyg Track cannot be faulted if you are looking for a base from which to climb Snowdon. The bedrooms are what you would expect of budget accommodation. The hot showers were very welcome after a wet windy day on the hills.
It is unfortunate that the topography of the site only enables a very small number of parking spaces to be offered. There is a big public car park across the road, but it charges £10 a day. The self catering kitchen in the Hostel is, as always, very small, and guests are actively encouraged to buy food in the hostel restaurant (which looked very good). However, we had to use the kitchen due to dietary problems and found it poorly equipped due to a series of selfish thefts by previous guests.
Food was excellent Location for Snowdon is unbeatable Staff very friendly and knowledgable
Fantastic welcome, very friendly and helpful. Just what you need after 4 and a half hours travelling. Amazing views, spotless room, very comfortable and warm. Climbing Snowdon was a great experience. Can't wait to go back. Thank you!
The weather,but it didn't stop us!Lol.
very nice location, remote from built-up areas, cosy shelter feeling, helpful staff, clean rooms
Helpful, welcoming staff. Extremely clean. Comfortable and spacious communal areas with boardgames and pool table. Delicious food at very reasonable prices.
The bar and restaurant are excellent. The room was small, but well equipped, clean, tidy and comfortable!
Clean and tidy Staff very helpful Direct access to the Pyg & Miners track Bikers welcome
No Mobile Phone Signal No Wifi (but is being installed in 2015)
very close to nature
After its recent refurb this place is really good. Cant beat this for location its right in the middle if snowdon pass.
