The staff were very friendly & helpful. I checked in later in the evening & liked the 24hr access. I was invited down to Cromer for the Crab & Lobster Festival & on a budget I wasn't looking for epic accomodation; if it hadn't been for Sherfingham YHA I wouldn't have been able to come. Great stuff.

Friendly staff. Clean facilities and rooms. 24Hour access. Great value for money. The lock to the bathroom/shower room (opposite room 1 on the ground floor) did not work very well. Had to have someone on the outside opening the lock .

Rooms very tidy , staff at the hostel very friendly and helpful , had a very good breakfast for £4-99 very good value , please note breakfast had to be ordered by 21.00 the night before , breakfast included tea and coffee , fruit juices , cornflakes , weetabix , plus a full english breakfast , which includes sausage and egg , hash brown , tomatoes and beans . Very little bad to say , you must bring a towel with you , but they can be hired for £2 from the hostel , no soap in bedrooms , but you can buy soap from the reception area , and toilets and showers are not in the bedroom . no toilets in the room , but there is a sink .

We had a very nice room (double). Good self catering kitchen. When we were there, the huge TV in the lounge was on at very loud volume. Bedroom doors could do with more cheerful colour in corridor.

We have stayed there before, and like the location. Staff were, as always, friendly and helpful. The lighting is not good in the rooms; the mirrors are at the eye level of a small child; one toilet leaked; one toilet had no lights; the water was scalding hot in the shower; walls looked as if someone had recently had a major fight and busted through the plaster in numerous places. I know there is a renovation plan, and it is much needed! Also, the breakfast was not the usual high YHA standard: hash browns soggy, sausages inedible (what about local farmers and good produce?), egg portion about half an egg. I like YHA and have stayed at many hostels, but none of this poor standard in many years.

even though I was on my own , I never felt lonely. the staff were very friendly and helpful, the location is great , just on the edge of the town , so within walking distance of shops and the beach. It's also a good location for walking in the countryside, and along the cliff tops.

So well placed, not miles from anywhere, and the friendliness of staff. The breakfast, not really value for money, it had been sitting for some time; solid sausages, hard bacon and cold scrambled egg!

Excellent central quiet location. Friendly staff. Good facilities such as drying room, comfortable common room, self catering facilities and plenty of parking spaces also affordable meals available to purchase in hostel if required. Nice chatting to other visitors staying at hostel as you go about your business. If you not used to youth hostels then the bunk beds may put you off. At this particular hostel we booked a two bunk room which meant not sharing in a big main dorm which was nice. Shared toilets and showers which were a bit tatty in places.

The common room was clean and tidy with nice sofas. The rooms were quiet. The price was far too high for a room with share bathroom. Next time we shall stay in a B&B with private facilities and comfort.

It was convenient for my purpose being located barely 5 minutes walk from the town centre. Good car parking facilities and adequate for a single night's stay. I was fortunate in finding that I was the only male occupant during my stay; I therefore had the sole use of a four bedroom dormitory. The room was quite cramped though with no shelving for personal effects. It would have been uncomfortable had the dorm been full. I have previously stayed in YHA hostels and though they represent good value for money this one was the most cramped - though, fortunately, that was not an issue for me as the room was nearly empty.

It was adequate but not really good value for money. The following night we stayed at a country bed and breakfast for only £25 each which made the yh expensive in comparison when you consider the facilities on offer. Very institutional. Fine for groups of school children, but not what I am looking for.
