+ Reasonable price + Very good location
- Worst night ever. The staff woke us up angrily at 5 am because of a problem with the beds. Also, the surroundings were very noisy. - Cold showers - Not all of the staff is as friendly
Clean accomodation All looks relatively new Price okay Beautiful premises Superb kitchen Clean and comfortable bathrooms
Noisy group of children
Breakfast was terrible.
Dining area, outdoor area and games room
I thought the facilities were excellent, there was plenty of parking & the staff were knowledgeable & helpful.
The room- an ensuite double bed- for just £34. It is an exceptional hostel, with great facilities in an incredible location, that is phenomenal value for money. Wonderful staff too and an excellent late bar. What more could you want?
Nothing at all!
Everything. The restaurant looks like an upmarket bistro, the lounge was really comfy and the games room well stocked. The showers were AMAZING!
Nothing. This hostel rocks!
The price was good. It was very clean. And the breakfast was great with only 4.95 pounds.
It was too hot with blanket and too cold if without blanket. Suggest to change it.
The rooms are all upgraded and ours had an en-suite wet room and a toilet and handbasin. Fittings were very modern. The Reception staff and the restaurant staff were welcoming and helpful. I really cannot speak too highly of our experience here. With easy access to the town centre, it was an ideal place to stay.
Nothing to dislike.
I hadn't stayed in a YHA for many years and was surprised and delighted at how much the experience had improved. The YHA was user friendly, with friendly and helpful staff and situated within walking distance from Stratford Upon Avon (however, you might need a car if walking is a problem as it is about 30mins walk away). The facilities were clean and easy to use. I would highly recommend this YHA to any traveller.
What's not to like! Fabulous staff that constantly smiled & went out of there way to help. Fantastic grounds & gardens that you could loose yourself in. Good old fashioned home cooked meals. Comfortable beds and country quiet.
Very friendly staff! Nice showers despite being communal Nice facilities (games room) Good range of drinks Free Parking
Few dead flies on the window sill
A stunning listed building.
The youth group that were staying at the same time as us were a wee bit overwhelming.
Staff was very helpful and kind. Bust stop was right outside the hostel.
Stayed one night in private 2-person room, very clean and really comfortable beds (pleasantly surprised). Breakfast was good.
Not really walking distance from bus station if you have heavy luggage...ok for backpackers (2+ miles) but cab service was easy @ 7 pounds one-way.
- Extremely helpfull staff - Quite surroundings - Close enough to Stratford-upon-Avon
- WiFi did not work when we were there (but the resourcefull staff helped us out in notime)
Breakfast was exceptional value, staff were hugely helpful, very clean and all set in superb grounds.
Nothing. Some people were put out by the loud live band on Friday night, but it is a youth hostel not a grumpy old fits convention and you have to expect this. I like to see the young enjoy themselves it is what it is all about.
The bugs in the room. The bug spray used to kill some of them which kept me coughing and wheezing all night. The rash I have all over me from the bugs and/or spray. The size of the room The lack of toiletries and tea facilities in the room. The stairs and doors to get to the room.
Cleanliness/Comfort of rooms
Reception just left unmanned for ages at breakfast time
Friendly and helpful staff
Breakfast was not very good. Refilling the food trays was slow and the food was very over cooked and the toast barely cooked
The hostel staff were friendly at check in, nice furniture and lovely setting.
There were two coach loads of young people staying and we were on the same corridor as some. They were very, very noisy until the early hours. I politely asked them to be quiet and later spoke to one of their supervisors about the noise. However, the loudness continued. We got hardly any sleep and so felt completely drained the next day.
Grounds are beautiful, recent upgrades to facilities are fantastic- kitchen has everything!
Cleanliness of washrooms and walls
The staff on arrival was very friendly. They prepared a great plate of sandwiches! The rooms are clean and comfortable. The grounds are lovely.
We had our evening meal there but it wasn't great so we decided to have breakfast in town.
Location & facilities
Room was too stuffy and caused us to sneeze and asthmatic
Friendly, comfortable and clean
