really good staff and really clean, a very good hostel. It's very secure.
the showers don't even have a stool to avoid your clothes from getting wet (it's a room shower, no curtains or borders). And 30p is way too much considering its location and that it doesn't include breakfast or towels.
Friendly staff, comfy room, yummy breakfast.
A a bit of a walk from town centre but not a major issue for us.
easy to reach and easy to book in and rooms were clean and comfy
I like the fact that it's clean and the atmosphere of the place.
I don't like the bunk beds and the mattresses. A bit too hard for my liking.
The relaxed atmosphere was lovely and great facilities to explore. It was also lovely and quiet at night so you could get a good nights sleep.
If I am being picky, it could have been a bit closer to the centre of the city, but the walk wasn't too bad.
Very friendly staff, convenient bar and restaurant! Great laugh in the shared rooms with friends. And they let us check out late for a fiver which was sound.
Our room was very small, and the light was dull. Apparently there was a kitchen everyone could use, but we were not introduced to this?
Staff/location/facilities/breakfast all magic. Would happily stay again.
Only the muppet across the room texting half the night, with a lovely 'text received' jingle detracted from a great stay.
The decoration was lovely. Clean, great staff, they even allowed me to check-in beyond their time limit (1400 - 0000). Read some bad reviews about the dormatory being hot and noisy and dirty, but I thought the dormatory I got was fantastic, spacious and clean. Room mates were very considerate too. Overall, pleasant stay!
Perhaps the location is a bit far from the centre but you pay for what you get really, definitely can't get this rate if you want something really close to the centre. Other than that, can't think of anything that I disliked.
Perfectly adequate for the price.
Excellent location, Very friendly staff at all times. We booked a 6 bed bunk room for 5 of us at short notice for £79. It was bright, clean and cheerful and came with en suite shower and loo which was brilliant. Great late night bar and the breakfasts for £5 per head were excellent. Also came with free parking!
Kitchen was great, and lounge area good.
Room was boiling. Quite far away from the station. Appalling sleep due to guest noises. Not enough safe storage cupboards. Not obvious which beds were used or not. No soap in bathrooms, surely this is a basic cleanliness requirement??
cleanliness, helfulness and friendliness of staff, food, bar, comfy public area, comfort of bed, security, ease of accessing the hostel and room, location,
lack of hairdryer in room, lack of tea and coffee making facilites in the room
Only 15mins from the centre of town friendly helpful staff lots of plug sockets clean and new en-suite was a good size
early check out time breakfast being very early
Bar Breakfast Quiet
lots of stairs/corridors Toilet cubicle small Automatic lights in washrooms
Staff, high standards of cleanliness, welcoming atmosphere- plenty of quieter space for older visitors to be away from younger visitors in communal areas. Good breakfast
Needed more toilets either with or near family room on a busy Saturday night
Just 15 minutes walk from the center. Kind, informative staff. Clean rooms. Bar to have a drink after the sight seeing + comfortable lounge.
GREAT FACILITIES AND FRIENDLY STAFF
self catering kitchen good location free parking Helpful and friendly staff
towels for additional price
The room was not ready on arrival so we didn't check in until the evening. When we asked if we could have the room for a little longer before check out due to the room not being ready, the staff we spoke to was extremely rude said that was the nature of budget accommodation and if we wanted to stay later we would have to pay, considering the room was £120 for the night we felt this was very rude and poor customer service.
staff price food and drink comfort of bed good shower
no tv in room no tea/coffee making facility in room
I booked a two beds room but I'm offered a room for four people; The firm alarm went off during the midnight.
Clean, modern accommodation, friendly helpful staff & good value
The room was great, nice and warm, comfortable bed and the girls on reception were very helpful and friendly on arrival.will definitely be staying there again
The food The professionalism and courtesy of the staff Seeing polite young people engaging in life and having fun without annoying the rest of us [I come from a professional rehabilitation world where I rarely see this and it has to be taught]
Very hot temperature in rooms and reception. Poor seating to eat food although there were some dining tables. Checks made by supervising staff [of groups] were very noisy past 11 pm
