I liked how near it was to everything. Nice walk into town.
That we payed for a double room and got two singles put together!
Great Italian restaurant.
my room was dirty. Carpet had not been vacuumed in ages.
Hotel was in the perfect location clean and comfortable, would definitely stay again
A nice hotel with clean well appointed rooms.
Very quite, comfortable room with large bed, nice little en-suite with plenty of towels, good restaurant, excellent breakfast, central location, near the train station and theatre
Pillows were very hard! Otherwise a very comfortable stay
Fantastic value hotel in an excellent location near Unity Hall music venue and Westgate train station. Lovely restaurant attached with bar area, wonderful cooked-to-order breakfasts, extremely helpful, pleasant staff - highly recommended - thank you!
No key for the room as the card machine was broken so we had to ask at reception to let us in our room every time. We could not take a shower in our room as the temperature dial was broken and the water was scolding hot. The en-suite was very narrow, felt very cramped.
Valu for money friendly staff
Slow service at breakfast
Staff, breakfast, description, service and pretty much everything bar the location. Payed for an upgrade as did another couple in our group, they recieved a premium room yet we didn't,waited 90,yes that's 90 minutes for our terrible breakfast, without doubt the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in over 100 over the last 10 years, just utterly horrendous!
Everything about it.we went to warehouse 23 to watch a band.hotel realy central and food in restaurant was fantastic.would book again.
Good location to all amenities , excellent staff and food.
The hotel was close to the station and to the town centre. An old hotel, it has been very satisfactorily up-dated .
There was nothing I disliked.
Friendly helpful staff. Nice cosy room with a superb shower/wet room and instant access to a balcony to have a smoke. Will be returning!
Nothing to dislike.
That it was in the town centre
Location was good. Staff good.
Small lounge with taped music which was too loud. Lounge was cold. Breakfast selection was poor.
Very good Italian restaurant attached to the Hotel. Excellent choice of menu well served and great tasting. The shower was good and easy to use.
"Deluxe" rooms are rather small and basic facilities only. The first room we were shown had nowhere to put clothes away. The second had wardrobe and shelf but only one draw. It was also above the restaurant with an air-conditioning unit outside the window which was noisy at times. Bathroom was rather cramped. It was easier to shower than wash. No printed breakfast menu so you had to guess what was available in the cooked English breakfast. No real continental option just cereal and toast.
We liked everything about our stay.Having the Restaurant down stairs was ideal.Well done everyone.
Great location next to town centre.
No sleep as walls ceiling paper thin upstairs bed creaking all nite .dirty sink marked walls and needed a good Hoover .
Friendly waitress staff and cleaner
Bit of an off putting damp water smell in bathroom. Lack of air conditioning
The room was comfortable and clean. The location was perfect for our night out. Didn't hear any noise from other guests or revellers on the street at night.
Room was spacious with double bed and single bed. Kettle with tea and coffee in room. On suite shower room Lovely shower with white towels.Breakfast was included in price with a variety of chooses from full English or cereal and juices and tea or coffee. Freshly cooked when you got down to breakfast.
The room was next to a fire door and everytime that door closed the door to the room rattled. There was also a musky smell in the bathroom like stale water.
Located close to the station with friendly helpful staff
Road outside surprisingly busy.
The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. We had our wedding reception in sloanes restaurant and the staff couldn't do enough to make our day special.
There's nothing I can say bad about our stay; perfect in every way.
Very close proximity to rail station and Theatre Royal
Disappointed with hospitality tray
The location is great, the girl at the reception was super polite, room was clean and a fast internet.
All that good about this hotel was spoilt by the most disgusting breakfast l've ever had in my life. The breakfast is served in the restaurant next to the hotel. As we went there, no one was inside. We went to the kitchen and the chef told us to help ourselves, and asked what we want for breakfast. Ordered a full English, in 5 minutes the waiter, or the manager, not sure who he was, came asking why are we drinking coffees. He re- asked if it were 2 cappuccinos like he wanted us to charge for it, when our breakfast was free. Then he run through the kitchen starting to shout like crazy in Arabic language on the chef. No music was on so we could hear everything. After 5 minutes he brought us a piece of omelette, but not English breakfast, serving us like dogs. What destroyed me most is his attitude when the blind lady with the dog came to have breakfast. His first words were "oh my god". He was so rude with her! She felt very uncomfortable, i honestly nearly cried looking at her. I told that story to all my friends i was visiting in Wakefield as to make a boycott of that place and to spread that occasion everywhere to the public, however they already knew that this restaurant is one of the most disgusting in the town serving microwaved food. Couple of friends got food poisoned eating microwaved spaghetti marinara 2 weeks ago. To end the long story, one very small advice- change the staff in the restaurant and it will be one of the best hotels. That people have got no clue of how to serve human beings.
