Thin lumpy pillows
Very friendly and helpful staff, lovely breakfast with plenty of choice. Great location for public transport (tram from airport stops right outside)all in all, had a very enjoyable stay, and would definitely stay here again.
Could have done with some bedside lamps. It was lights on or nothing, which wasn't convenient when sharing a family room.
Location and room was clean
Shower curtain was in bits and linoleum looked grotty
No wifi Shower was very hard to use Room's walls were too thin, hard to sleep at night because people were making noises at night
Quite noisy thanks to single-glazed windows and old adjoining doors between rooms.
Location next to the playhouse was good
Dirty windows , dirty carpets , stairs , no toilet in the room , had to share the tollet and showed with 3 other rooms , with 2 teenage girls this wasn't good , no cold running water for the kettle , after 7.30 in the evening there is no staff member in the hotel , so we weren't comfirtable at all , breakfast was ok but wasn't enough , had better in the premier inn, just couldn't wait to get home
Good location to attractions, Good staff
Very noisy due to traffic on the main road; very incovenient as Internet is not accessible at room and you need to go to the ground floor.
Friendly staff Excellent location for bus, city, Hogmanay street party and shopping
rooms were basic, beds a bit old, thin walls, no wifi in the rooms
The location was brilliant with princes street and st jamws shopping centre just a stones throw away!
The beds weren't very comfortable and the television volume wasn't working properly.
location is good
citi-central convenient, good value
nice staff and service
Proximity to Princess Street, bus station... In room 8, Very large room and high ceiling, Very large and comfortable bed (king size +) Charming old building The staff is very nice and welcoming
Wi-fi access is poor (only in the door hall, at reception) There is no elevator, due to old building situation
The polite staff and central location.
The poorly equipped single room. Their was no sink in the room. Water for tea or coffee had to be taken from a shared bathroom, which had a light fitting that caught against the door when it was opened. Worst of all was the noise. Next to where my pillow was there was a disused connecting door to the next room. I could hear everything from this room. They could probably hear me too! When I raised this with the staff, they informed me that all the single rooms were like this! I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone who likes peace and quiet and a uninterrupted nights sleep. This hotel badly needs an overhaul!
The lady who greeted us (Ilaria) I think her name was on the notice at reception was such a lovely host. Friendly and informative. She was perfect. The hotel itself was great location and perfect for what we needed. We had breakfast the next day... well I did and one of the children I travelled with as the other one couldn't be bothered to leave her bed. Breakfast was lovely too. And again the lady host was fabulous.
Nothing at all was a lovely stay .
Location very close to the heart of Edinburgh
Wi-fi didn't work at all
Staff where lovely and couldn't do enough to make your stay very enjoyable. Would defo stay there again either with friends or partner. Xx
Nothing everything was great and very very enjoyable
Central, clean, polite, taking care of you
A little to loud (you can hear busses at night). But for some nights and shorttrips it isn't a big problem at all
Staff was very personable and friendly- hotel was small and quaint with a good location with in walking distance to most major attractions- spacious dining room with good food- large room and comfortable bed
view from the room wasn't particularly great- had to share breakfast area with noisy guest ( not the hotel's fault though)- no WiFi in rooms
Its location obviously and its good value. Room size
Nothing to note.
Near the town centre.
We requested a quite room but received room with the windows to main street.
We plan to camelback and stay this hotel
exposed electrical wiring , heating not working in bathroom, burnt out electrical socket , thin douvet couvers
Location - very close to Omni Centre, Bus Station, St James Shopping Centre, Princes Street. Beds clean and comfy. Big heavy curtains at window. Clean towels. Hairdryer.
Big sash window didn't close properly, causing draught/street noise. Avoid Room 2. No door handle on bathroom door, so couldn't close for privacy, or to prevent noise from issue below. Very noisy drone of next room's bathroom fan. Avoid Room 2. Very noisy footsteps from staff directly above Room 2, getting breakfast ready from 6am !!! No bedside lamps.
