The location of the apartment was fantastic, the views over the river were lovely. Apartment had everthing we wanted and was very spacious.

Spacious comfortable minutes from hustle and bustle but partment is in quiet street tucked away at bottom of a little terrace. Fitted with proper kitchewith pots pans china glass ware all there if you want it. Big comfy sofa for lounging around on. Spacious bathroom.

Can' t fault it really. There wasnt much of a view though you do get a good sense of the built up nature of the old city from the windows..overlooks back yards of terraced streets. Bath/shower arrangement would be awkward for anyone not very mobile.

Very nice apartment, great location, quiet, yet near to night life.

Bathroom cabinet was very dirty all around the sides. Shower sealant needs replacing, looked grubby in parts. The radiator in the lounge did not work, consequently we were cold. Noise from people walking around in apartment above.

The nice easy walk onto York . Easy parking & able to talk to staff. I found the apartment relaxing & clean. Decor was lovely.

The washing machine didn't work & if it was working it look hard to work out instructions. It was one reason I took the apartment to catch up on washing. Also, it took a while to find the power point behind curtain. Toilet brush broken.

Very small shower room/toilet (had to sit on loo with legs tucked under sink?)

Excellent all round. Located 10 mins stroll from centre in quiet area, parking space which is rare. Compact but very well equipped accommodation. Superb hotel alternative.

Everything! The decor was lovely, as was the welcome pack (particularly the bottle). The location is pretty central and includes a free parking space - very rare for York!

Location,free parking with permit.Did not need to move the car for the whole of our stay.Facilities in the apartment were good,kitchen was well equipped. Fast wi-fi and full Sky package were great after long days exploring York.

Small niggles: having to empty dishwasher on arrival,plastic bottle found under sofa.Drawers in second bedroom had fronts hanging off.Maintenance and cleaning standards require some attention.

Only deficiencies we could find were: No lock on the bathroom door and no non-slip mat for the bath. The latter would have been very helpful to some members of the three generations in our party.

Quiet and central location between old town and railway station. A stylish and practical interior,with all the usual essentials. Shops about 10min walk away. Quiet street parking.

Bathroom had no cleaning materials. Sofa was uncomfortable after a few minutes. Parking was extendable after 11a.m. on departure day but at a cost of £7.50. Second bedroom was minimal size. No hooks for hanging coats.

We could not work out the heating settings. Also the system needs bleeding. Needs somewhere to hang wet coats. Wardrobe too small, full of spare beds etc. no shower curtain in main bathroom.

The location; the modern design of apartment. It had everything you could of wanted. Very happy with our stay.

Great decor

The odd thing is starting to look a bit tatty

We stayed in the riverside Merchant Exchange apartment and the location was brilliant, just a few minutes walk to all the shops, restaurants & tourist attractions. The views across the city and river were lovely and the apartment was clean, comfortable and very well equipped. We appreciated that parking, Wi-Fi and Sky HD were all included in the price. We were visiting York as two couples so staying together in an apartment was nicer than being separated in a hotel. The comfortable beds were a godsend after a busy days sightseeing! We would highly recommend it and would definitely book it again ourselves.

Nothing! Can't even complain about stairs to the third floor as there is a lift!

We stayed in March 2013 for a long weekend and from the moment we stepped through the door we were impressed by the standard of the apartment. Everything was very well thought through - the kitchen has everything you could need or want. It was very clean and nice and warm on what turned out to be a very cold weekend. A 5 minute walk into the city centre and 2 minutes from the nearest Tesco Express. The communication from the manager, Bea was second to none and I would recommend staying here to anyone.

The apartment was an ok size for two of us but it is advertised as sleeping 2 adults and 2 children. The bathroom, although well equipped is tiny.

CommUnication from owner Bea, was brilliant. Apartment isn't the biggest but perfect for a city break. Couldn't of asked for a better location and the apartment was well presented and clean.

Bathroom is quite small but good enough

The staff we dealt with we're extremely friendly and helpful. The apartment was bright, clean and spacious with lovely extra touches. It was ideally located for the town centre and train station.

Communication via telephone and email of all directions, keys, parking permit etc.Phone no. if we required any assistance. Clean, comfortable accommodation in good city location.
