Room spacious, warm clean and quiet even with wedding on site. Great breakfast taking to order when ready . Parking on site good location
Staff were very helpful and courteous, room was very clean and provided all necessary facilities for any over night stay. Bed was comfortable
Breakfast being served in the garden room and not the proper dining room was a disappointment. Also we could here every movement and noise in the room above, very bad floor boards and lack of sound proofing re bathroom noises. Breakfast could have been better organised, tomatoes were not cooked through and the rest of the breakfast went cold while haveing to fetch the toast.
The cosy room and friendly staff, food was also excellent.
There was no cosy lounge with comfortable arm chairs so you could sit and have a quiet drink.
Everything about this hotel and flats is excellent for the money paid, can't wait to go back :)
Individual unique rooms in old building. Good comfy beds, spotlessly clean bathrooms, excellent breakfast and friendly staff.
Traffic noise from Fulford main road, especially when hot and there's a need to open windows. Best take ear plugs if you're a light sleeper!
staff helpful and plesent.
had to change in the hotel public toilet into wedding outfit after travelling due to lack of available room /area to change in. Not horrendous for me but not very good for a lady. Let the hotel down badly. Wont be going back.
The staff were most welcoming. The room was cosy and we had an undisturbed sleep. The breakfast was great and we weren't rushed at all.
needed more choice for the dinner menu.
Loved the location the room was very nice and clean
Wifi connection was a bit hit and miss
Everything both my wife and myself were very impressed with the room and the service
Nothing staff very helpful at all times hotel excellant
staff very helpful.breakfast very good
bed small for a deluxe room but very good shower
Cleanliness, helpful staff, good shower, comfy bed, lots of space for a 3 star
Very poor Wi-Fi signal, very expensive (it was York races weekend)
Nice breakfast with a wide choice. All the plates etc were clean & the breakfast was on nice hot plates.
The tables were a bit on the small side & the dirty plates were not always cleared between courses. A white table cloth would of lifted the whole breakfast experience.
Good location very close to shops staff very nice very clean and well set out
Bed on the soft side so both of us had sore backs in the morning pillows very thin with no support not very nice During our stay we had a fire alarm go off the staff seemed to run around but no explanation was given to the guests as to what was going on some ppl came out of their rooms In nightwear and guests came to reception from the pool with towels wrapped around them the alarm was turned off but as before nothing said I felt this was very poor
proximity to racecourse
constant stream of wedding party guests and those planning weddings. The focus of the hotel was clearly this group of customers whose needs dominated the hotel
The apartment was clean, quiet and well situated for travel into York. The area was also good for pubs and meals away from the main hotel building. Staff were friendly and helpful. We would certainly visit the hotel again.
Some small details let the hotel down - poor check-in, poor wi-fi, poor tv signal, lighting in downstairs of apartment too bright - a lamp or dimmer would improve matters.
great staff !!!; in reception , bar , & dining area .
poor house keeping staff bed wasn't made to a good standard ,waited 20 minutes one evening in dining area before anyone came to take our order !!
Staff and restaurant
Bathroom needs modernisation
The less than helpful reception on arrival
Had a fab time her would highly recommend and will be booking again
Comfort Location friendliness of staff
Wifi does not work in some rooms Limited food menu
Close proximity to the centre of York, either a short car journey or bus ride - there is a bus stop directly across the road from the hotel. Lots of parking. Lovely interior reception room for relaxing and a variety of exterior courtyards. Food very good and great breakfast. Staff helpful.
As we were informed by one of the receptionists, the hotel is a popular wedding venue. Whilst we were there there were five weddings, two on the thurs, two on the Fri and one on the Sat. This did restrict accessibility to the courtyard areas to non wedding guests.
Friendly service good rooms
excellent staff very helpful. food excellent. hotel very clean and comfortable .Location very good. all in all a great hotel and will definitely go back.
nothing to complain about
Wi Fi signal in annex across the road weak.
