Staff friendly and room was very clean and comfortable. Good location on seaf front but sadly was dark when I arrived. Staff very pleasant and rooms very clean and good standard despite current work being carried out. The restaurant was not a good experience but the staff friendly. The restaurant lacked atmosphere and menu limited choice. It needs some "mature" input and a more professional approach to its clients. There were four staff and three diners which was overkill. The young Manager (male) was very pleasant and addressed this in a professional manner. The Swimming pool is very old, looked dirty and frankly not fit for purpose in my opinion. I did not use it as it was just not inviting. The hotel is going through major refurbishment and will benefit from this.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms and bathrooms were spacous and very clean. The continental and english breakfast were tasty and well prepared. We had a evening meal and lunch in the hotel this was also of a high standard. You cross the road in the fount of the hotel and you are on the beach, five minutes walk away and you at the pier and shops.Third time we have stayed and we would still go back x We was not told about a refurbishment that was under way, so had to put up with decorators constantly in the corridors and the smell of paint. Had we of known this we would have found somewere else to stay.

the room was clean and comfortable, and the bed was very large and soft, the pool was quiet, but a nice bounus, a very relaxed atmosphere all round. the lift at the end off the hotel was out off order for the 3days we were there, but not to much of a hike to the other end to spoil our stay.

Very cosy, homely and friendly hotel perfectly situated on the seafront. The relatively new heating system in our third floor room was a monstrosity! It was not only an ugly feature it was also difficult to work out how to use. Cannot understand how this is regarded as an 'improvement'! However this did not detract from an otherwise pleasant and comfortable room.

It was near the sea. Warm and clean The ballcock on the toilet was broken but I knew how to turn the water off so that was O.K. I reported it in the morning. No problem for us.

Excellent location, good outlook to the beach. Nicely styled and decorated. Helpful staff. The room was very cold although the people we travelled with didn't have this problem.

Location on the seafront was good but parking was a problem as it has meters along the front. had to search backstreets for free parking.we asked to change rooms as the one allocated was small and dingy. staff very helpful in finding us an alternative room.

The staff were very accommodating to our needs + were particularly helpful when ots toddler was sick, bringing breakfast to our room + ensuring the room was properly cleaned. The swimming facilities were very poor. The changing rooms did not have lockers or showers + the pool area did not appear to be overly clean.

The location of the hotel is very good, the staff were courtious, efficient and polite, the room was adequete for a short visit but the overall decore was rather shabby and in need of refurbishment, espescially on the floor we were on and the one below,so we were left with the view that we would'nt recomend it to our friends who visit the area, but perhaps a lick of paint and wallpapper would not go amiss and the next time we're in that area we will look in for a drink and a look at it see above comments for below answer,,,we have stayed in best western hotels in a lot of places both here and abroad and have enjoyed staying with them, but due to the general condition of this hotel,as I said above,we would not like to recommend this one, untill its been given a wash and brush up

The room was adequate with clean fresh bedding. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Although the hotel is undergoing renovation it was very shabby with peeling wallpaper. The room was small and the decor was appauling. The bathroom was dirty and the lino was very scratched and lots of wear and tear on the carpet. The swimming pool was very cloudy and strong fumes of chlorine.
