Park Inn York

Close to all the pubs and shops, but very quite in your rooms even though there were parties in the hotel. All the staff were helpful. Will be returning next year.

There is nothing possible that anyone could not like about this hotel. Clean, modern, quite, short walk from pubs, eating places and shops.

Well laid out room,not too hot ,windows that could be opened, very clean bathroom and spacious shower cubicle.

slowness of lift and its noiseness.We we were on 8th floor and everytime lift was used it was quite loud and annoying late at night

Very good hotel, close to station and city centre. A bit expensive but special offers often available.

The only thing I liked was the view from my room

The room was not worth the money and it was so far away from the main part of the hotel it took 5 minutes to get my room.

it is within walking distance to the centre, good for shopping and niggt life

the fact that the rooms that i booked were changed by the hotel staff with out notification because of over booking by themselves, when challenged over this they stated that there was nothing that could be done

Staff vey friendly & helpful. Nothing too much trouble. Food good.

Restaurant not open on Sunday evening

Central location, friendly staff, good breakfast

Was a bit tired looking in places, booked business room with water, tea/coffee making facilities and newspapers. Was only given one glass for the water, no papers arrived and there was only enough tea milk to make one drink and one packet of buscuits. On consideration the price of the room at £160 was expensive for what we got.

The cleanliness of the rooms was fantastic. We have stayed here here twice now and are definately booking again. We always go for our anniversary.

I think there could be more lifts

Very smart hotel right on the river and within quick walking distance to all the attractions of York. Fantastic location. Hotel had been completely renovated. The staff were particularly helpful when my colleague became ill. Breakfast was really good. Nice big towels in the bathroom.

The windows were not double glazed so there was some noise from the street, particularly at night. Also the room was sometimes a little cold - probably because of the lack of double glazing too. Would have been nice if we could have had a proper pot of tea/coffee with breakfast rather than those awful machines (but I suppose everyone does them now!)

Great location in the centre of York. Was able to leave car in the car park for the rest of the day after we had checked out.

The bar staff were very friendly as was the desk clerk on duty at our departure. The extended part of the hotel was quite nice and fresh looking. Our room 233 was very comfortable with good airconditioning control. Shower room was very nice.

The desk clerk on arrival was extremely brief in communication and told us nothing about the Hotel other than how to get to our room. There was no advice about how or where to park our car. The hotel car park was full so I ended up parking the car a mile away outside the parking zone and walking back - in the rain. The Hotel was overall a bit shabby and obviously in need of a major refurbishment. The main entrance is not nice at all. We had burgers in the bar on the evening we arrived which seemed a bit under cooked. We both were unwell with slight stomach pains the following morning. Overall the hotel served its purpose as we wanted a central location in the City. Probably would not choose to stay again.

breakfast was lovely - maybe too long to wait to be seated, but I would not complain, like other guests I heard. no need.
