We had a very pleasant stay on the whole.Breakfast very good Bar staff very pleasant and helpful Bar meals fairly good.Room size and cleanliness very good apart from a very stained throw which was quite off putting but on the whole a minor issue Good sized T.V.Location absolutely ideal for our trip. The temperature in the bedroom very cold and was almost treated as a joke by the male person on reception, female more pro active and finally fixed by a very helpful male thank you We should have mentioned it sooner as it was fixed very quickly once the right person was on board.

Close to Railway Station.Rooms are warm and clean with good shower facilities.Breakfast Buffet is extensive and caters for all tastes. Riverside rooms can be noisey at night due to the proximity of riverside Nightclubs and public footpaths.

Find the reception staff, the least responsive and the least helpful of all hotels I have stayed in, during this 15 days trip around UK. They will barely answer you and will not go an extra step to be helpful. Often there are no smile on the face of the reception staff member when you talk to them.

It is a simple and clean hotel with all the amenities you could require for a short city break. The beds were comfortable, the towels were soft and the breakfast varied and very adequate The location was a bit noisy on a Saturday night with lots of drunken noise from the street below our window. The large plates for the cooked breakfast were hot to the point of being dangerous. thye would give you a serious burn, even throuhg several papaer napkins. We informed the hotel reception staff of this and they said they would talk to the catering department. The breakfast buffet bar layout is chaotic and poor which results in long queues and for such a large hotel, they only have only 2 toasting machines.

That we had only booked in for one night, had planned 2, but thankfully we didn'T. We didn't like anything about the hotel, I have already sent a e-mail to that effect.Rooms need up-dating, bathrooms where disgusting there was mold around the shower head and on the tiles. The lock on the bathroom door was broken and had not been replaced, carpets were dirty and there was only 4 sachets of milk. The kettle was very old and the general standard of the rooms was poor. The breakfast was stone cold, the eggs were congealed and coffee was terrible. We are frequent visitors to York, but needless to say we will not be staying at the Radisson Park ever again, nor will we be recommending it to our it to our friends.

The breakfast was nice (but just say warm). The location was good - close to the train station and main shops. The room, for even the reduced rate offered was very basic and the decor was awful - white scratched walls to the side and the main wall facing us was an angry looking blood red with light blue curtains. The 'double' bed was in fact two singles pushed together. A light was built into the 'headboard'. This was inset into a frame which my partner caught his finger in which drew blood. Having to use your key card to operate the lift was a bloody nuisance too. As for the 'selection of toiletries' - one shower gel and one shampoo! For £149 a night; we expected a more luxurious room.

The staff on reception when we arrived were lovely, friendly and helpfull. The 2 young lads who worked in the bar on the saturday night were fantastic! Funny, friendly, Well manored and like an old married couple! They work well together and they had us laughing which is what I want when I stay somewere! And again the gentleman on reception is great! We, the girls, had a lovely stay as for our partners we didnt see them till monday! And took our friend on receptions advice and hammered there bank cards! So again gave us help support and great advice! And we are looking at coming back and bringing our friends with us so will be needing about 8 rooms. The only problem or one thing we were not happy about was I was in room 709 and my friend was in 431 and we had asked for the rooms to be together. But that didnt bother us we still had a good shopping trip and catch up with friends.

I travelled with a group of friends. We have stayed at this hotel several times and have always been happy with the facilities and the city centre location is great. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Food is really good with plenty of choice. One of the couples in our party asked to changed rooms because they were not happy with the room. It overlooked the air-conditioning unit and the bathroom door would not stay closed and had no lock. This was accommodated, however we discovered that another couple in our party who arrived later in the day were allocated the same poor room. They too asked to be moved, This was also accommodated. Why, when there were obviously other rooms available, was the unsatisfactory room allocated?

Good location, allowed to book for only one night- many other hotels had 2 night min stay, car park on site, good choice at breakfast but need more staff on the ones who where there were rushed off their feet! All minor points and did not affect our stay greatly -there was a cigarette stub down the toilet, so had cleaner left it there or not cleaned toilet after previous people? Also no biscuits in our room, not enough teapots at breakfast

Cost and location. Rooms were neat and very clean, breakfast was excellent and good value if you ordered on arrival. Parking charges excessive and should be free to residents. Where else can we park? Tv was not working properly, was attended to ,but continued to be a problem. The lounge/bar area lacked enough seats. We were a group of 11 and found it difficult to assemble together in that area. Small glass of wine £5.15, that is well over the top and forced us to go out when we would have preferred to chat in your bar.

Its proximity to the town museums, shops and railway. We had a good room with small balcony and lounge area which was very nice as we were staying with other friends in the hotel. Own parking was a definite bonus - if you can get into it! Took a long time to get into York by road early evening. No warning of that. Would have been nice for southern strangers! Directions to hotel on web - hmm. Not brilliant. Carpets and lounge furniture fine but looking 'tired'.

Nice room, good shower. They had had a problem with their booking system which meant that there were quite a few unhappy people at reception.

The breakfast had good choice of food and was replenished frequently. The bed was comfortable. The gym was reasonably equipped. Drinks a bit pricy at the bar. No alternatives in room if you don't drink tea or coffee E.g herbal drinks or hot chocolate. Could have done with more attention to detail- maked corridors (needed painting) curtains hanging off rails Confusing lift system, as rooms appear to be in 2 separate blocks- ok once you got use to it. Not up to the standard of Raddison in New York- very disappointed.

It still had rooms available within walking distance of the City. The bar over looking the river is awesome. All staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were tiny for the price. The bathrooms are old and out-dated. The breakfast wasn't good - sausages weren't cooked properly.

I was surprised that the housekeeper thought it was reasonable to use her key to let herself into our room at 8.30 on the morning we were due to check out. What was she planning to do ? Surely there is no reason for this intrusion.

I liked the 24 hour room service which meant I got some dinner even though I asked for this at 23:00. It was quick and good value for money Breakfast at £7 was good value for money too with a lot of variety When I got to the hotel with my printed booking reference in hand, from booking.com, the guy at the desk couldn't find my booking on their computer or so he said. First I was asked if I had booked in my real name, then I showed them the electronic e-mail on my phone as well. Seeing as I had had a 5 hour car drive, this was an inconvenience I could have done without. They eventually gave an upgraded double room which I am grateful for, however could have done without the glitch

We stayed here on Saturday 15th October 2011 and were more than happy with The Park Inn. It has a fantastic location just 5 minutes walk to the shopping centre and nightlife!! We booked a river view room which was lovely and the room itself was very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful and I would definately return here again :))

I was not happy with the room allocated to me at check in, and asked for something better/bigger. I was immediately given a much better room, despite the fact that it was only just after 11 am. I really like the design of the new rooms, especially the bathrooms - super showers! Excellent service at breakfast - very good food. The beds are very good, but if a double is super king size, then there has to be a big enough duvet. The duvet was about the same width as the bed, which is not big enough if there are two people in the bed. Also, the duvet was very lumpy and uneven. No choice of bread at breakfast - only brown and white sliced bread, no rolls or anything.

Lovely breakfast - staff at breakfast very helpful. We were given room 223. Key cards didn't open door. Went back down & explained, given another card, opened door to find it already occupied! Went back down - should have been room 233. Security an issue. Also walkway between river and hotel full of noisy drunks until early hours.
