The staff were very friendly and helpful. The large lounge was very relaxing at the end of a very busy day. The hotel was very central to all the main attractions within York. |

The modern decor, excellent breakfast facilities and proximity to the City Centre made our stay. The bar area overlooking the river was shabby and is in need of updating. |

view from the room (paid extra for riverside views) pillows uncomfortable - however, we were given more when we asked. Breakfast quality wasn't great - not enough fresh fruit |

Hotel short walk from train station and to city centre. We attended the York Opera House which was a short walk from the hotel. Room was very clean and comfortable. Room rate was expensive with breakfast not included in the price. |

Excellent location by the riverside. Room very clean and comfortable. Breakfast very good with a large choice. Did not eat dinner as fully booked (a recommendation in itself) but plenty of good restaurants in the City a few minutes away. No hesitation in recommending this hotal. Slightly noisy at night but we didn't find it a problem and it is a city centre location. |

The reception were very friendly and the room was available immediately on arrival albeit before check in time. Main bar area is always cold due to draughts from the air conditioning unit.We experienced this before on our visit. |

Comfortable and relaxed atmosphere with friendly attentive staff. Good food and central to all aspects of the city of York. There appears to be a problem with the heating control in the rooms. The individual control does not always respond and reception have to override the room control from their central computer. Not a disaster but still an inconvenience that I am sure could be resolved. |

the hotel had a clean contemporary feel to it. The staff were all pleasant and very helpful, we asked for an ironing board and it was there withiin 10 minutes. The location is absoloutly ideal with a river view you cant ask for anymore! We would certainly stay again and have recommended it to friends and family. |
