Yotel Gatwick Airport

the design and the amenities were well thought out. it was quieter than i expected. for london / airports it was good value.

the menu was naff, considering it uses the yo branding. i was better off going to the m&s food outlet one minute away.

Convenience, cleanliness and value for money! Excellent!

So handy, rooms are great, beds are comfy, staff are very friendly, it has everything you need. I love staying there when travelling, I look forward to it!

Convenience of location. Very friendly and helpful staff. TV/Music entertainment system had a great choice of titles.

Could have done with slightly more room for our suitcases. As mentioned to the staff at the time, the folding table had a poorly designed catch (or it was broken) which tightly pinched my fingernail upon opening.

Staff competence and manners. Impeccable in all respects.

Poor/non-existent Vodafone reception, air conditioning too dry (no 'fresh air' available), non-existent WiFi reception for several hours. Supplied ethernet cable clearly marked " Do not use with laptop computers" !!!!! No shower mat therefore wet feet all over 'living area'- also dangerous as possibility of slipping. Claustrophobic environment (which did not affect me personally as I'm used to a small cabin on a boat). Overall impression is of a 'good idea' that is poorly executed, but it is quite a handy alternative to sleeping on the departure hall floor! I was promised a 100% rebate due to the poor service. It will be interesting to see if it happens.

Otherwise its similar to a prison cell, like an internal boat cabin. Its about 4-5 m2 and not 7 as they say. I can only imagine this hotel as a few hours layover option when one is absolutely exhausted and needs a bed. Otherwise its nearly impossible even to spend one night there

Great location if you have an early flight, delightful service, a comfortable bed, TV with numerous channels and the possibility of renting a movie for £ 5

It was great to get off the plane and go straight to the Yotel also in the morning no hassle getting a taxi just wonderful! I would highly recommend.

I like the fact that it is on the Airport

Location, easy accesibility, comfortable bed (even for two),l great for early morning flights.

A curtain in the bathroom (toilet) would be usefull even for standard cabins as they are designed for two as well. Or a warning in the booking process would be nice.

The staff were very helpful, and the location and comfort were excellent. The main reason for booking Yotel is its location in Gatwick Airport itself - very convenient if you are arriving late/early and don't want to cart your luggage to a more spacious room in a hotel in one of the nearby villages. The bed was very comfortable and we had an excellent night's sleep - the rooms are designed to be rather small but very relaxing. The room service food, despite being microwaved, was pretty good too.
