The staff were very welcoming - champagne on arrival! The room was very clean and well decorated though a bit cramped. The facilities were great - good tv, good bar arrangement, very good food. |

The hostess was very friendly and sweet, as were the other staff members we came in contact with. We loved that they brought breakfast to our room. The low ceiling in the bedroom was interesting - I wouldn't recommend it for larger people. My husband who is 6'2, would have hated going up the spiral staircase only to be met with a 4 foot ceiling over the bed, which was a mattress on the floor. However, it was a unique and enjoyable experience for my friend and I. We had a very enjoyable relaxing time. The Gurkha Palace around the corner also serves amazing curry if you like that sort of thing. We rang the front bell several times before calling the hostess on our cell phone, who then gave us the code for the door. For those traveling without a cell phone, it would be very frustrating not to get in the front door on arrival as you would be stuck out on the stairs or perhaps in the tiny entrance indefinitely. |

Excellent hotel - spotlessly clean. Nice welcome. Good breakfast. Good seafront location. Quite hard to find and such a pity it's in Hastings which is a rundown dump of a place. |

Staying at the Zanzibar International Hotel was an all round wonderful experience. So much thought has been put on how things are run, and the quality of everything imaginable is very good indeed. I couldn't recommend this hotel more highly. Wonderful staff, beautiful rooms, luxury breakfast...This place really gets it right in every way. |

We thought that this hotel was chic, but not snobbish and it was like being welcomed home rather than arriving at a hotel for a one night stay. It had loads of nice touches that just made that little bit of difference to the usual service that you expect. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Note really a serious crticism, but it was not easy to see the sign clearly and we drove past it twice before tracing it by the street number. The sign is very smart and shiny, but with the sun shining on it and the scrolled writing it is not easy to see. I know that we should have read the street numbers first, but we thought that it would be obvious when we got there. |

It was very quiet and warm place with nice and helpfull staff. Egyptian room witch we stayed in was perfectly designed to relax-bed was very comfortable as a big bath in the rooom with we enjoyed. We will definitly come back and recommend to the oders. |
