The location was excellent and near the tube, buses and points of interest. Shopping nearby was also a plus. Staff were pleasant when we talked with them but very busy.
Our first apt.was a disaster but they moved us to a much nicer one. Although the fan in the bathroom didn't work and the lack of lighting at night in the sitting area all in all it was quite pleasant. Full kitchen but lack of a pot to boil an egg in and 1 teaspoon was annoying. Noise from traffic 24/7 was certainly bothersome. Broken fan plug for use in bedroom was awful because it was so warm and with the open window the noise kept us awake most nights. Need air conditioning units due to warm temps.
Management needs to make some effort to fix the towel rail heater in the bathroom - runs all night and makes the bathroom very warm. Broken middle door in the kitchen should also be looked at as well as replacing the slashed drapes - not a great look when you arrive.
I choosed this Aparthotel for the wifi availability, there was not possible. I payed for it too. They don't gave me a solution
The apartment stank like a cesspit, the kid's sofa bed was a joke (had to sleep on railings, pretty much). Two mismatching cups (for four people) and three mismatching glasses (for four people). Kitchen cupboard doors hanging off, or missing. Microwave didn't work. The whole place was grubby, bed was damp, a real disappointment. Thank goodness it was just for one night, late, after the theatre. We were up and out by 8am. Disgusting place. I shudder every time I think about my children having to sleep there. Ugh. If only the Premier Inn across the road had a family room available, we'd have been over there in a shot...
the position was near tube earls court and supermarket and eating places on Gloucester road.
Our apartment was on ground floor and the tube(underground trains) passed underneath so had all vibrations and noise when it was working!! It was very cold in apartment and poor lighting. No reception as seperate building from hotel where you get key from. Kitchen equipment very scarce, with maybe only one of different plates etc no tea towel etc Although basic equipment, no care had been taken to supply utensils and make a welcoming environment for cooking/eating.
The facilities were good, excellent shower, great size apartment.
No reception, hike to hotel a nuisance. The second bed was so uncomfortable that my daughter was unable to sleep in it. Three of us shared the double bed, most annoying as this was booked as a family suite.
The apartment was nice and the garden was enjoyable. The area is great and convenient.
When we arrived there was an issue with our apartment that noone seemed keen to solve. The staff were unhelpful and at times unfriendly. We were offered two seperate rooms instead of the apartment we had paid for with no discount. When we refused we were offered free breakfast. We were offered free breakfast several times infact as the staff seemed to think this was enough compensation for the two hour delay on our apartment. After this amount of waiting we were informed that we had been given another apartment and the keys handed to us. When we arrived it was filthy with old food still laying around and unclean sheets. We called back through to reception who advised there would be a cleaner over immediately. We decided to go out for a while so the cleaner could come in and do her work without us there. We had a meal and some drinks and returned more than two hours later to find the cleaner still half way through cleaning our apartment. Something tells me she wasn't over straight away. After she had left half an hour later (she was very nice and polite btw) we began our evening and had a good time. When we left the next morning the same girl that had dealt with us the day before was at the desk (American I think). Not only did she not mention the issues we had had and offer a parting apology, she seemed annoyed by our presence and didnt even look up from what she was doing. all in all the edge would have been taken off the several problems we had experienced if the customer service had even been satisfactory but it was not. Very Poor.
Dreadful place. Broken window, huge crack in bathroom mirror, warped and uneven flooring, dirty and cracked walls. We didn't stay because it was so bad.
The Kensington Aparthotel has little going for it besides it’s very convenient location. A special note of thanks to Sergei at Reception who is kind and professional and doing the best he can with precious little.
Sure, it’s London and accommodations are expensive. However, this is a very over-priced service apartment that offers no service. Housekeeping is notably absent with a rotation of new housekeepers who are just learning their job and don’t know where fresh towels or toilet paper rolls are kept. The apartment was dull and dark. The pull-out couch meant to sleep a third person has the thinnest most uncomfortable mattress.
We had to check in at kensington rooms hotel which was a 5-10 minute walk away, to then be told we can't check in yet so we had to leave our bags there, go back and get out key from there later and then make our way finally to the building we were staying at. This wouldn't have been a major problem if only we were told about it.
- All in all it was clean & maids were available daily - The location was right by Earls Court Tube & a short walk to Kensington High Street Suburb Location! -Communal area was locked & clean
- No staff once checked in & as we were off reception site there were no phones to contact the main desk - We were located in the basement there were not lifts so all luggage had to be carried and carpet was loose on the stairs meaning people tripped - The sofa bed was not suitable for an adult (as advertised) it was too small for a 5ft2 petite woman - The apartment only had one small mirror in the bedroom - Wasn't properly furnished 2 glasses 1 mug etc for a 3 bed apartment - Dark and badly lit - Worse point was how horrifically hot the apartment was windows could not be left open as this was a safety issue on basement level however it was unbearably hot & all that was provided was one small fan (which was broken)
The location was brilliant. There is everything you might need in the vicinity, and there are two underground stations within 5-10 minute walk. It's quite spacious, clean and has good facilities. Overall we were happy with this apartment.
The wifi in our apartment was unreliable, slow, the signal was poor and I couldn't connect to it a lot of the time. We asked help with wifi at reception but whatever they tried to do did not help much. Also the sofa bed where I slept was as hard as stone.
no staff there is no reception its in anther building 3 blocks away we were locked out(key cards did not work) the lady in the other building asked us to wait for more then 1 hour so she can come to open the door
I liked the independence of preparing my own meals and the relative proximity of the apartment to a major supermarket.
I didn't like being kept waiting to check in - it seemed like at least 15 minutes and the receptionist only came to her post when I went out and continually rang the front doorbell. Her attitude was more of 'why are you disturbing me?' than 'sorry for keeping you waiting, can I help you?'
+One of the best hotels I`ve ever stayed in. The rooms have the size of apartments, very nice bathroom and bedroom, OK kitchen and living room area, my room even had a balcony. It`s not brand new, but it has a good standard and makes you feel very comfortable. VERY silent, nice, green location, close to everywhere, with big shops, restaurants, cafe and metro stations nearby. Fantastic staff – very, very friendly and helpful: while I was waiting for my room, I was offered a selection of drinks and a private room to work in, plus a full assistance during my stay.
-the only smaller things, really: the guests before me must have cooked some pretty smelly food, and it took a while to get rid of the smell, but the cleaning lady managed with a geat success;) Extra suggestion: kitchen towel/napkins or a small cloth would be extremely useful, as guests usually dont usually bring them on their own... plus, the terrace could do with leaves cleaning (but it`s totally optional).
Location is good.. Near earls court train station.
No fan and water shower slow.
Well there was a water leaking from the ceiling above the kitchen that is tells everything and it was so dirty I don't know why they asked for £100 deposit!
location, price, space, cleanliness
Apple device could not detect the Wifi - very weak signal. Toilet was broken - had to experiment with the mechanism to get it to flush. The key we were given could not open the front access door. We called and were told to wait for a receptionist to come with a key. 10 minutes later, I called again to be told off that no receptionists were free. My husband walked over (apartments are 5-10mins walk from the hotel reception) to be told to wait for a receptionist to come. It took almost an hour for this to be sorted. Not fun with small kids.
Location is excellent
Apartment was incredibly hot with no fans and the beds were the most uncomfortable I have ever had.
we booked a 5 beds apt, 1 was a sofà bed the other was french bed (1 and 1/2) only one a real bed. last day out of 3 towels were not avilable.
Apartment was very trendy, modern and clean. Nice location in a classy part of London
Curtain rail was damaged, extractor fan didn't work in the bathroom and we were put in the basement (which the lift didn't go to so had to lug our heavy bags up and down) and was shuddered by the underground trains
Good shower, clean, good size
Digibox for tv had a 2 pin plug & no adapter so no tv - very frustrating with 2 children in tow. No grill pan in cooker do I couldn't grill food. Curtains (and tie backs) needed repairing as they didn't close properly in the lounge are where I was sleeping. Couldn't get the water to run cold out of kitchen tap (I did get cold water out of bathroom tap). Hotel reception was a bit of a trek especially with a suitcase & 2 kids.
Didn't get our room until 6pm and check-in time was supposed to be 3pm. Two ladies at reception were not very welcoming and didn't give us our room on time.
