There is a main street within a short walk if you need to get any supplies; there seems to be a pretty good variety of eateries too, although we did not visit any on this visit. Only drive to get there it’s at motorway M1 and M2 getting to places by public transport would leave you walking around to get to your destination. The hotels are in the welcome break stops which means you should be driving there the locality is not vibrant so your not going to see people about and plan your trip.

Very good staff, welcoming and helpful. Free parking too, and gladly as the hotel was very busy. Located in a service station. Really comfortable huge bed ( three pillow across...that's how big it was ). Nice shower and hot water. We visited friends and also the RAF Museam really a 15 minute drive, really easy to get to.

We find the area a perfect place to get into London - we walked to High Barnet underground station, around 20 minutes.

Usha the owner was very kind and helpful. Gave us lots of advise where to go with the children. The beds and pillows were so comfy.
