No grumbles with this hotel.
Nothing other than location Variety of breakfast cereals.
Décor Cleanliness Mold in the shower No space in bathroom Holes in wall and ceiling English very greasy
Love the style of the hotel, friendly staff and nice breakfast
Great location, if you want to be in Baldock, right on the main street. I was a bit worried about on street parking but was assured by staff that there was cctv outside and my car was fine. The wifi was good.
When we got there we were told they had a boiler problem. It was freezing in the room and we only had enough hot water for two warm showers. They did fix it by the time we went to bed for the night but I wish they'd done it earlier.
Superb room, been to more expensive hotels and this one stood out to me as a great place to stay! Staff extremely friendly would recommend to all.
Comfortable bed, clean and tidy rooms, nice powerful shower. Some staff were very attentative and friendly and made the stay welcoming. We would stay here again. :)
Parking was an issue as there was a Christmas market on the green outside the hotel. But we were given good advice by one of the ladies at reception were to park. The young girl at breakfast did not take our order until we prompted her that we were waiting to order (about 10 mins), she seemed wake up after that! But no other fault.
The room was very pretty, the bed was huge and very comfortable. The bathroom was basic but acceptable, with a good hot shower. The breakfast was also acceptable, but it would have been nice to have a proper pot of tea rather than a DIY tea-bag in a cup with water from an urn.
The bathroom door tended to jam. We were able to yank it open successfully, but it could have posed a problem for others. I was assured it would be attended to when I reported it to reception.
Good food Nice room Friendly staff
Noise at night
Friendly staff. Close to town centre. Spacious and comfortable.
No dedicated parking provided. Could be a problem on weekdays due to parking restrictions. Furnishing/carpets are in need of refurbishment.
No internet, bed to small and way to soft, very noisy outside and in the hotel, tap was faulty on the bath, way over priced
value for money really good helpful staff that . very convenient for parking our car
Wi- fi didn't work but this was due to a faulty router so we'll forgive them for that
Location, convenient and free parking.
Such a sad, tired hotel. Needs a makeover. Must have looked swish in its heyday. Glad we were only there 1 night. Nowhere to put anything in bathroom. Archaic looking plumbing.
Relaxed quiet stay with great location one of the best I have stayed in all round Really really loved it here thank you
time went to fast enjoyed my stay so much
Very friendly staff good food and excellent room.Very clean.
Bathroom could do with updating at some stage. athough adequate. We stayed when the fair was on which wouldn't suit all couples.
The room was lovely clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was great, we would recommend you to our friends and family.
Staff friendly & helpful. Good location
Clean, comfortable with friendly staff and a great location.
Room was quite small and there was a poor choice of beers at the bar ( no "ales", choice was mainly lagers. )
Bed was reasonably comfortable
Poor cleanliness in bathroom which was very poor and uncomfortable to use Staff were just OK and lacked service with a smile
Lots of parking spaces but beware of the Wednesday Market in the car parking area.
Parking on a Tuesday overnight got me a parking ticket at 6am Wednesday morning.very upset
Plenty of parking, friendly staff and quaint. Very nice atmosphere.
The shower had some black mould in it and also the beds had rubber sheet underneath which made it a very hot night. I understand about protecting the mattress but there are cotton alternatives.
Food was good, great pint. very friendly staff
Clean well prepared room.
Room 20 (I cannot speak for others) The toilet seat was broken. The side window overlooks a noisey garage/car repair centre.
Staff all very friendly & helpful. Room clean & comfortable. Ideally situated for the train station. Had a good night's sleep. Ticked all the boxes for an overnight stay.
No soya milk for breakfast, which had been requested. Hot water from urn at breakfast not very hot- I cranked up the stat myself. Found it a pain having to keep logging back in for wi-fi so didn't bother in the end.
Location loads of options for eating and drinking.
beer was off, bar man not happy went down the road to another pub
Parking information incorrect resulting in fine. Restaurant very dirty. Table tops so sticky my shirt sleeves stuck to the table. tried to clean with serviette and it disintegrated and ended stuck to the table as well
