La situation, la vue, la très jolie terrasse et la gentillesse de l'equipe du bar et le côté "historique" du lieu.

Nombreux dysfonctionnements : Accueil très moyen et aucune aide pour les bagages Climatisation en panne Absence de rideau occultant Aération en panne ds la salle de bains Absence de pression pour l'eau de la douche le matin Service de petit dej totalement négligé, salle surchauffée et qualité douteuse des produits Réception TV dramatique..... Bref pour une nuit c'est un lieu emblématique, mais surtout pas plus !

La situation de l'hotel, les chambres avec leur balcon donnant du coté mer.

Nous avons trouvé l'accueil très froid, quel dommage que vos réceptionnistes ne parlent pas français ( aucun effort de leur part ), pour un hotel de cette classe c'est inadmissible. Nous avons voyagé durant 2 semaines en Andalousie, nous avons pourtant fréquenté des établissements beaucoup plus modestes et partout le français était parlé avec des accueils très conviviaux. Je ne conseillerais pas votre hotel à des amis qui ont des projets de voyage.

looe did not flush well always twice.the paint work on the whole is shabby past chic. for us the road noise was bad. we have said yes to recommending friends but would point out the negatives. we also do not think the restaurant was 5 star 2 wines not on and my starter not on please let others know what is not on the menu.

The location was convenient. It wasn't as far from the Main Street as I had been led to believe and this was a pleasant surprise. The rooms were clean and the balcony view stunning. I would go there again.

The hotel is a little tired and dated. There is no way to avoid a rather steep climb to carry your luggage to the first floor where lifts are then available to take you to your room. The toilet flushing didn't work.

Staff were great, we got married at the registey office whilst staying here and they were great Bed was made every morning The monkeys came and visited us a couple of times and one stole my pack of biscuits!

Food was very expensive Was kind of out of the way so had to walk to everything, hotel was on a steep hill so we tried to take a taxi where we could.

Swimming pool area. Frequent and cheap local bus service.

Reception could smile and be more informative on arrival.

The location is just perfect. Easy access to the rock, or to the gondola if you don't feel like a long climb. The staff are super-helpful too, and the view was pretty nice too.

Our room was on the 1st floor and the dining room had a party run pretty late. We could hear all of the music coming up through the floor. The style of the rooms is *really* dated, paint chipping in spots and electical sockets bearing warning labels. The hotel is nice and clean, but it desperately needs some renovation.

Lovely situation all rooms with balcony overlooking harbour and Straights of Gibraltar. You will certainly see the apes as they do hang around the hotel this was good for us as this was the main reason in visiting Gibraltar.

The room we were given was next to a disused part of the hotel so the balconies along side were scruffy,unkempt and rusty. Also the paint on our balcony doors was peeling off badly. It felt as if we were given a second class room.

Fantastic location over looking the bay of Algeciras and across to Africa.

Very welcoming staff, hotel environment very relaxing. Food generally very good, including high quality dinner. Good location of hotel, great views of the harbour.

Hotel does require a lot of re-decoration and refurbishment work, both externally and internally

If your getting married in Gibralter this is an amazing place to do it.

It is in the right place and has wonderful views from almost all windows.

I have know and used this hotel for almost 20 years. But it is now showing signs of needing a total re decoration etc.

Bathroom was nice and big, very clean. Room was clean and tidy with good tea and coffee facilities.

Room service wouldn't deliver any water to our room, no-where to get any drinks or food after 11pm. No one on bar despite waiting for 20 minutes to be served. Breakfast was not included and was exceptionally expensive, having paid £100 for one night, I would not expect to have to pay nearly £40 for breakfast for 2 people.

1)The place is a dump, with carpets that haven't been cleaned since Churchill paid a visit there way back then. Disgusting! 2)The single PC available for the guests didn't function. When reporting to the front desk, the pathetic response was, "Oh!... is that so!" 3) The Porter who was hanging around the front desk doesn't do ANY of the services he's hired on to do. NOT when we checked in NOR when we checked out! The lazy bugger was hence a living picture of the ran down state of a hotel that once must have beem worth a visit ! 4) When we discovered that the bed light and the light light on the desk did not function, the front desk suggested that we bring the matter up with maintenance the next morning. However when my wife said NOW! the lazy porter arrived with a new bulb and by juggling a couple of switches at the room entrance, (!) he managed to get the bed lamp to light up. Amazing. 5) The Sat TV they brag about in their brochure does ONLY exist in the brochure. Not that important. We did not visit Gib to watch TV, but I hate a front desk which responds with "lifted shoulders and an empty -we're sorry-"

I have been visiting the hotel for a number of years and have always found the staff and service to be excellent.

I hope the anticipated refurbishment will include a heated indoor swimming pool, in addition to the outdoor pool. I like to swim in the winter months.

The Hotel has a unique position of having a heritage. The public areas are great and promote it's 1930's Histoy.All staff welcoming and willing to act as top hosts.

Oh Dear we now come to the rooms!! Hotel really lets itself down basically they need to start again. The old metal windows need change.New beds ,new carpet, new bathrooms( mould on the grout) still smells of stale smoke.

Nico the receptionist was very helpful and could not of been more friendly.

The room was dusty and caused my partner to have a allergic reaction to the level of dust that was in the room. Also she wanted to get a bath and after feeling the rim of the bath she decide against it and had a shower. It may seem trivial but it was important enough to tarnish our stay.

The location was fabulous.

You could see that the Hotel was once a real beauty but is now in need of a good makeover. The furnishings and general maintenance need a good refurbishment and it would shine once again.

The service was excellent, both at the restaurant and front desk. Overall, we were happy with our stay.

The room was a bit outdated (including the bathroom in which the toilet seat did not align properly with the bowl).
