Our room was overlooking the sea and had a balcony. Staff were very helpful and friendly. There is a family beach right next door. It was in a quiet area. I felt like I was on a cruise liner, with waves sloshing below. The dining room even looked liked something of an old liner. To get to the sights and the bright lights, you would need a taxi, but a free bus service is also available from nearby. It felt a bit jaded. The outside looked dated, inside though it felt slightly more modern, had a few areas that looked as if they could do with a lick of paint.

The location was excellent overlooking the sea. The staff were helpful and friendly. Very clean and comfortable with an especially good balcony. So good that the man in the next room was fishing from it.

The Location, reception and cleaning staff were all excellent For a four star hotel, the service in the breakfast room, although fairly efficient, was not friendly or particularly helpful. Some supervision, and some leadership in interacting with the guests would help enormously. Also, the hairdryer was basic and not what I would expect

Friendly staff, excellent location and also quiet in comparison with Gibraltar town. The sea views where beautiful to wake up to. Nuno's restaurant to eat during the evening was expensive but worth it if it's a special occasion. Nothing to dislike. If someone disliked the hotel then they should 'get a life'

Welcoming and comfortable. Lovely view. We booked a deal with breakfast included. Only when we arrived were we informed that it only included continental breakfast and extra would need to be paid for a full breakfast. That should have been stated on the original booking information.

The restaurant had great food and a very nice waitstaff. A bit expensive but delicious. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet which comes free with the room. They wanted to charge for late check out and as Americans we were quite surprised that an extra hour would cost us about $75. Also seems like the spa Is not available on Sunday or Mondays so we couldn't book massages.

The room was not as booked. It was not luxury. There were no bathrobes and slippers, and the bathroom was small. The balcony was unuseable because of a fly blown dead creature, bird droppings an the chairs and table, and seagulls annoying us whenever we went onto the terrace. The staff were not cooperative. Problems with credit/debit cards. Problems with currency exchange. The front of house staff had to continually go int the back office to obtain advice. All costs in the hotel, including room rates were excessive compared to the quality of service provided with the exception of the highly priced restaurant which served good food with professional service.

We were married in the Registry Office in Gibraltar and chose this Hotel because of its location and history. We had our Wedding Lunch in the Nuno Restaurant which was excellent including the service. The Hotel bedrooms are a little sad and need re-furbishing. Our room lacked good lighting, the air-con was defective even after repair and the bathroom had no light over the wash basin. But none of the above detracted from an enjoyable stay. Where else can you see 2 Continents and 2 Seas from your bedroom window ! excellent.

We arrived for our wedding stay but had to wait nearly two hours to get a room then got a standard room with two single beds dark room in lower grounds instead of superior room with double bed .we were going to leve and look for other plce but a customer service manager offered us the chice of two luxurious rooms to choose from or a full refund if we still wanted to leave as she could see we were so disappointed.we aggreed to a lovely double aspect oom with extra pace and we were offered a bottle of champagne as gesture..the situation was saved and we did sart our special stay later than planned but enjoyed it.staff is excellent.very good food.lovely romantic place! Hotel does not look luxurious on the outside and is away from the centre but good bus service.taxi called from the hotel is charged at twice rate!(not hotel fault,s) Monkeys can sometimes come into hotel.very near rock! Breakfast does not offer English type with ggs,bacon,etc...(healthy option?) This is apparently not hotel fault but hotel did not have our reservations from booking.com! Hotel was fully booked although we were shown three empty rooms!
