The hotel did what we wanted, it was close to the ferry terminal. It is an old and tired hotel in an old and tired part of town. That said, it was more than adequate and our room was clean and the bed comfortable. All we needed
Location! It's located right next to the cruise terminal and a 15 minute walk to the ferries. Wifi worked excellent, but only at reception (you get a free 24h password). But it's still very handy when you have to find out stuff about your next destination. Shower was ok and the fact they have a fridge on the room that worked was nice. Big plus: luggage dosit is free.
Staff was very hard to understand, even when you speak well enough French. They may turn friendly after you charm them, but it's not their natural behaviour. The bed we slept in was pretty bad: very deep lump!
No air conditioning. The wifi didn't work on the 4th floor.
I ignored the negative comments, as I was staying just for a night and wanted something near the port. As it turns out I should have listened. The place is run down, it is filthy, it stinks, it had no hot water, it was noisy, and there was no elevator. One of the worst places I ever stayed in. AVOID
Ideally situated for the ferry port. Nice helpful man on reception. Minutes from bustling markets and some interesting architecture
The area after dark - but this is not the fault of the hotel.
We chose it because it was close to the ferry terminal in Point-a-Pitre and we were arriving after midnight. That was its sole good point.
The lift was broken (had been for at least 10 days) and we had to carry our luggage up a lot of steps to the second floor, and even further up to the baggage store. Apart from the night porter, no other staff seemed to care or offered to help. The room was very noisy - we were woken early by noise both inside and outside the hotel.
Daniel was helpful and did his best.
Firstly, this place should not carry the name "Hotel". Motel more suitable. Surroundings are depressing, dirty, railings are rusty, building need face list, surroundings need to powerwashed, dust everywhere. Even mould was found on sliced bread- not kidding. Imagine, a vagrant has one of the areas for his home and big dog stays next to a guest room on 3rd floor. Female receptionist was not helpful. Did not give details as to password for wifi-had to ask about the service, did not say if breakfast was served on premises, money was paid to her- had to ask for receipt. Photos online are not real since room appears much bigger, when you arrive you are placed in one in which you can hardly move. Valerie the manger is terrible, very hostile and has no customer service skills. Money is all that matters to Valerie, not how patrons feel. Terrible experience! was a nightmare
Dirty, bad and located in a not safe zone. No restaurant available Close to the hotel. Necessary a taxi to move from Harbour zone where the hotel is located
Close to boats
Hotel taxi is a rip off. Get a taxi outside.
Free wifi friendly and helpful personell
bad smell in the room bedcover had stains on it most shops/restaurants around were out of business
Location with view of harbour;
With the exception of one member, I found all (female) reception and waiting (breakfast) staff rude and aggressive. They have simply no grasp of their role in the hospitality industry.
After all the hotel is not so bad as you can regard at a first glance. The staff was very kind and tried to help us as possible also if they can speak only French. Anyhow the rate is very expensive compared with the room quality, but this was the only hotel we could find in the central area of Point a Pitre.
The general view of the hotel is not very nice and when we arrived (7pm) no people was in the area and all shops were closed around the area. When come out we were very suspicious because the atmosphere was a little bit unsafe (it was the first night in Guadalupa), but nothing happened to us.
The staff tried their best in the circumstances.
The property is run down, it smells, the internet scarcely worked.
location, cramped room, indifferent staff
The hotel had nothing to commend it.
Our departure in the morning!
Excellent location for coming to Goudaloupe or leaving it. Daytime staff was very helpful.
Very poor breakfast; some renovation urgently required. A little bit shabby. very small lobby where two or three people can wait at the reception with their lugage
The location was nice, close to market
wi-fi service is not good.. and also need improvmnet on staff service
Ok for a couple nights' stay. Reasonable staff with some English spoken, simple breakfast, clean room. 5-10 mins walk to the town centre.
Near the port harbor - great for cruise but only for one night stay if you have cruise early in the morning. Average clean room with wifi, air condition and hot shower.
Bars on the windows. Unfriendly environment. Not issuing the invoice.
Close to the Port !!!
Just a junk hotel ! The room facilities in very bad conditions ! The air condition worked noisy for 2 hours and then stops ! No breakfast for that price ! The room smell disgusting ! The wifi doesn't work in the room and floors (just to reception , after a tricky received access code) , and many more ! Anyway was a bad choice of me and 95euro for nothing ! Just lucky , because we had one night there :) And a note to the owner ... spent some money for renovation , we are customers ... respect our cash !!!
You get what you pay for...Perfect situated if you gonna stay for one night and off with Cruise ship or ferry the next day.
Personal is kind and attentive. Services are modest. WiFi is good. The hotel is settled in about 250 m from the berth of cruise ships. It is OK only for overnight stay.
In evening time all the district around the hotel is absolutely empty and little bit spooky, no place to eat. Small supermarket is on the opposite side of historical district. In day time to get a beach you need a bus or a taxi.
Expensive and mediocre hotel
location, friendly receptionist
poor breakfast, everything already eaten, brakfast staff, no value for money
