The view from the breakfast bar is fantastic. Very convenient to get to Airport by taking the metro.
No bad experience for me, but if you need total quiet to get to sleep I would recommend requesting a room Without a view of the Acropolis -- the square was full of activity until midnight every night we were there.
The hotel is right at a Metro station AND within walking distance of almost all the key ancient sites and museums. We only used mass transit to and from the airport, the rest of our three day stay we enjoyed walking through this beautiful city to see everything.
I asked for a quiet room when i booked but instead we must have got the most noisy one. Felt like we were right in the middle of the square - all night through (Athens doesn't sleep)!! Asked for a change of rooms the following night and indeed got a much quieter one. I would have left if they hadn't been able to offer another room.
The view from the breakfast area and the politeness of the staff.
The Location and the very accommodating and helpful staff especially Mr. Vious!
The noise from the bar and also the square can be a bit too loud if you are staying over the weekends.
The view, the breakfast and the convenience of the location.
We arrived early both days, but the staff of A for Athens was very accommodating and let us check in. Our visit was split between 2 nights with a cruise in between. The first night we were given a room at the 360 Hotel across the street. It was beautifully decorated, comfortable and the staff very friendly. The second night we were accommodated at A for Athens itself with a fantastic view of the Acropolis. Once again very clean, comfortable and the staff very friendly. I would definitely stay here again if we ever return to Athens!
Wifi connection needs relogging in at all times.
Best location of our stay. Nice bar with great view. Walking distance to Plaka and Acropolis. Easy to find.
Hmm I didn't get a great room - no view and close to the street so it was noisy. Maybe ask for a room with a view!
Very easy to get around Athens from this hotel with the Acropolis close by, lots of restaurants, metro station. The room was clean with a great shower, bed and wifi.
Second time there and I just loved the place. Perfect location, big comfort rooms and great rooftop bar.
Great location. Nice breakfast with amazing view of Acropolis. Staff so helpful. Room very comfortable. Overall, highly recommended.
Location. Comfortable and well designed rooms.
THE ROOMS ARE NOT SOUND PROOF AND THERE ARE LOUD NOISES ALL NIGHT LONG. I HAVE TRAVELED OVER 6,000,000 MILES AND THIS WORST I HAVE ENCOUNTERED. THIS NOISE COMES FROM THE SQUARE IN FRONT OF THE HOTEL AND FROM THE PEOPLE LEAVING THE ROOF TOP BAR AT 3-4:00 AM. UNTIL THEY SOUND PROOF THE ROOMS I WOULD DEFINITELY NOT STAY HERE AGAIN
THE BREAKFAST WAS EXCELLENT AND THE PEOPLE AT THE FRONT DESK WERE VERY NICE
The hotel is the centre of the city. It's easy to go every important places and museums by walking. we haven't use any public transport. Breakfast was enough and delicious. Our room was very beautiful. It had Acpopolis view. It was first maybe last time to wake up by seeing a historical place, Acropolis. The most important thing is good welcome. Resepsiyonist (I forgot his name, becouse of the difficuly of Greek :( was very friendly. We would strongly recommend this hotel.
View, comfort, excellent renovation, location was perfect, i indroduce the hotel to anyone
Expensive in Athens
Location and rooms.
the location, the room, the staff, the lavish breakfast with the breathtaking view of the Pantheon, the sound of the drums from the Monastiraki square and, last but not least the enormous shower!
I cannot think of a single thing that disappointed or annoyed me.
The 'A' has the perfect location for ranging about the city on foot if you only have a short time and the perfect room for a rainy afternoon (view of the Acropolis while lying on the bed felt like good use of time)! Short walk to Akordeon, best 'local's' restaurant with traditional music and dancing. Will definitely return!
Couldn't have asked for more helpful staff - two lovely chaps on the front desk full of smiles and information who helped me and my boyfriend when we were a wee bit stuck - a fabulous bar on the top floor and you are right in the centre of it all. Thank you A for Athens I hope you remember us! We made it to Hydra!
Nothing to complain about.
The view is simply amazing. The room was spacious and very clean. The staff welcoming and friendly, and the breakfast was fine too. In short, a perfect stay in Athens!
a/c never worked ,you are right next to a main square which was very noisey at night
helpfull staff.central location
a little noisy at night, the elevator is too small
Nice staff, incredible view of Acropolis, convenient for eating&shopping&transportation
