Right on Monastiraki Square, just steps from Monastiraki Flea Market, 360 Degrees features a roof bar- restaurant with panoramic views of the city and the Acropolis.
Score from 32 reviews Exceptional
Centrally located in Syntagma Square in Athens, the Amalia Hotel is right across from the National Gardens. It features comfortable rooms with satellite and pay-per-view TV, and Wi-Fi internet access....
Score from 1708 reviews Excellent
Just a short walk from Athens’ attractions, the luxurious 4-star hotel Melia Athens features a rooftop restaurant with stunning views of the Acropolis.
Score from 686 reviews Very good
Central Hotel is strategically in the picturesque area of Plaka, 220 yards from Syntagma Square. It offers a rooftop terrace with hot tub and Acropolis view, and free Wi-Fi at the lobby.
Score from 1418 reviews Very good
Great central location, nice bathroom and a fab view of the Acropolis from the room. Also a very lively (and very busy) cafe bar which also had a good view.
The hotel looked out over a very busy square (which hosted drummers and revellers until all hours, every night) and there was no sound proofing, so we would not have slept at all without ear plugs. Breakfast was average, though the great view from the bar did help.
Location is absolutely perfect and comfortable, and the view to the Acropolis (from our room and from the rooftop restaurant/bar) is stunning. The hotel staff is extremely helpful at all time and they also let us check in early. I can only recommed this hotel, we will definitely come back soon.
it wasn't an issue for us but you need to accept the fact the you will stay right next to a vibrating and sometimes very loud neighbourhood (Monastiraki square). We knew it and therefore it did not bother us at all - probably its not the best choice with small children or you need to book a room with no view to Acropolis.
Location easy access to everything. Great welcome from staff. Room spacious and clean, well appointed.
Beds really hard, rolled into the middle.
Beautiful hotel with the most amazing views. The rooms feel spacious and luxurious. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. We travelled with our 2 year old son and the staff were all on first name terms with him after we checked in! The terrace on the 6th floor is lovely. We had a cocktail there in the evening (amongst some very trendy types) and enjoyed breakfast there in the morning. If we visit Athens again, we will definitely return to A for Athens.
Size of room, breakfast, location
Excellent location, modern spacious family room and bathroom very spacious.
Air conditioning and sound proofing were not very effective.
The location near the Acropolis, Plaka and Metro station was a plus. It was easy to walk to everything from this location. The view of the Acropolis was breathtaking. Loved the rooftop lounge which is also where breakfast is served.
The square that the hotel is located next to is very lively into the night. It was quite loud the night we stayed with drumming. Although the hotel was great, the immediate area of the hotel is grubby and lacks the charm of the nearby Plaka.
location and view, Acropolis from our window, the staff is very friendly and helpful, easy access to metro, happening neighborhood
nothing in particular
Terrace/ decor/ view/staff/confortable bed/nice shower
Monasteri square is too noisy at night
Great location. Great staff. Great stay.
location location location the staff was very helpfull breakfast with...THE view rooms great!!!!
The room was big and had an spectacular view.
The drummers in the public square in front of the building kept us awake till 3am!
The location is excellent. Walking distance to tourist spots and just a few steps away from the train station. No hassle going to and from the airport. And more importantly, A for Athens has an incredible view of the Acropolis! Get the room with a view, it's worth every penny!
It gets a bit noisy at night when there's a crowd in Monastiraki square even with doors shut. Though it's a small price to pay compared to the view. Also, the bar people could use some room for improvement in terms of service. No order when you come up to the bar. You don't know where to sit and nobody assists you unless you ask one of them.
Great Location, close to main touristic areas
Great staff very helpfull and great location
it was very difficult to sleep because of the loud noises (drums) coming from the square (we had a front facing room)
Friendly staff. Location.
Very bad WiFi connection. Top rooms are just below the bar.
Everything was wonderful but what made it outstanding was the wonderful people who worked at a for Athens. They were gracious, hospitable and helpful. And the rooftop has the best view in Athens.
Sleek modern rooms Excellent location Friendly staff Good breakfast Fast wifi
I didn't like leaving this hotel or Greece
location, staff, free breakfast, great views
Did not get any sleep because room was front facing onto Monastraki square. Drums were being played all night
This hotel has a great location, with a fabulous view, but it's greatest asset is the very helpful staff at the reception who are willing to provide advice and support on any issue. We truly enjoyed our stay.
Wifi is unreliable!
The rooms are comfortable, nice bed and bathroom. Lovely breakfast. Staff were friendly enough.
The hotel is right in the centre, which is great, apart from when you are trying to sleep and there are drums and music being played very loudly right below your window. There was no soundproofing in the rooms at all and it sounded like the drummers were in the room! Fine if you don't intend to sleep before 1 am.
The view is amazing, the location is perfect, one of the best and the rooms are really nice. Lovely Breakfast with an adorable view. I definitly recommand this hotel if u r not looking for a luxiourious stay or a sophesticated hotel.
It lacks of some services and the entrance may not be as appealing for the first impression (no lobby)
Location Subway, Bronx, flea market, juwaliers, tavernas, roof bar all in 50m - 100m radius. What else can you need?
Great location, brilliant staff, and perfect stay. Early check in and late check out as well made the difference.
Location excellent next to metro line from airport and in the middle of town. Good room, fresh and practical. I paid an upgrade for view on Acropolis...
...However, the drawback was loud drumming outside on the street until midnight.
