The location, as it is very near the port. The decor, needs freshening up a bit. The breakfast /refreshment area always looks closed with the lights off. You feel like you are really disturbing the receptionist if you want a drink, as she has to go and turn on the lights. Would recommend this hotel only as a one night stay.

I have stayed at the Acropole many times. Usually overnight stays on our way to the Peleponese the reason being because it is convenient for gate 8 where the flying dolphins depart. I arrived late on the 17th September. First I was given a small single room when I had booked a double. I complained and then was given some horrible room that didn't even look like one of the guests rooms. Again I complained and was then given a room with a third bed in it, by this time I was fed up and I don't think we ( my husband and I) will stay there again. I paid for breakfast but at 7.15a.m nothing was ready so I had a glass of orange juice and a cup of coffee. I didn't have time to wait as the Dolphin left at 8a.m. I don't know why nothing was ready for breakfast as I had booked it with my original booking and was told breakfast was from 7 a.m

Nothing it was the worst hotel I ever stayed in even at a cheap price mich too expensive for a dirty room with half broken air conditioning end insects on the floor Broken bed... Too late to change but you should take this hotel out... I would rather be further to walk to the peer, 40euros for a few hours of no sleep are a lot. I did not like anything and disliked everything... Sorry it was too late to move would rather spend money for a decent hotel room. If I could claim my money back I would do it...

The location of the hotel is perfect if you are travelling to the islands, it's really nearby the boats. The room was really hot! The airconditioning couldn't handle it. Also the bed was not really comfortable. It was a little bit small and not a good matras. The hotel is allright if you are staying for one night, but it's not really good.

The reason for my stay in Athens was because of an over night stay required to wait for the ferry in the morning time. The hotel was cheap and comfortable. It had all the basics needed. Air con, TV, ensuite and double bed for €40....very good value....and it was only about a 70metre walk to the ferry entrance. There was nothing wrong with it that I needed as a quick place to stay for one night. It had the basic requirements of a hotel and it was the closest hotel to the port I could see around.

Good location next to the port, practical to crash for the night if you have to catch a ferry the next morning. As we arrived, our room was flooded. Someone left the water running like crazy and it flooded bathroom and partially the room. Made us wonder whether that was the "cleaning person" or there was no cleaning at all? If you open the windows, it gets pretty loud as the hotel is located on a very busy street. Altogether would recommend it only if you need to crash for the night, as it is the cheapest hotel around. Not good for staying longer.

location near port It is a run down dump advertised as recently renovated, holes in the carpet, mold on the shower enclosure. Advertised breakfast included. When we arrived asked at reception what breakfast was and told it would be eggs ,bacon, bread, coffee. When we went to breakfast we were given coffee and bread and jam. When we told the waitress we were told eggs, bacon etc we were given attitude then she called someone to cook breakfast. All in a poor experience especially after island hopping and and having a great time. When we passed through Pireaus on out outward journey we stayed at the Pireaus dreams hotel which was vastly superior with an excellent buffet breakfast. Unfortunately dreams only had executive rooms on our return leg and we thought it was too expensive. The regular room at dreams was the same price as this

Only 200 yards from Piraeus ferry quayside - ideal cheap stop-over for ferry to Islands. Also Metro nearby for central Athens. Could use some more pictures in the walls

The owner was helpful with information. But this was probably because he understood that i was very displeased with the condition of the hotel. The impression you get from the photos which you have listed at bookings.com do not, by any stretch of the imagination, accurately reflect the condition of the hotel. The place is a dump that cashes-in on the high season shortage.

Good location very close to Piraeus Harbour for boattrip to the islands and very close to metro and trainstation. Excellent for 1 day overnight stay. Hotel accepted credit card. Low budget hotel: good price quality. No breakfast offered. Somewhat noisy in the room on the streetside. Shortcomings in the small bathroom and toilet. Not always english speaking staff.

Excellent location for overnight stopover if using the ferry terminal or getting the x96 bus to the airport. Surprisingly good cooked breakfast is served in the hotel Good restaurant just a couple of doors up for dinner. Not the cleanest, particularly as the rooms are carpeted. Very small lift.
