Jasmine. So helpful and cheerful all the time. The great location. The sense of belonging and camaraderie among other travellers. Access to internet so that we could print of boarding passes. Location, location, location. Great value.
Our bathroom had no ventilation or natural light or air so it got muggy and the floor was always wet.
Front desk staff members very helpful without exception. Good breakfast including quality fresh fruit and yogurt.
The best thing about this place is the location. You are within walking distance to the acropolis area along with shopping and metro access at Stygmata square. The staff were pleasant and helpful.
The bed was hard and stiff. Fortunately, we can sleep about anywhere.
Location / obliging staff, very friendly like a family.
2 star hotel / no lift, although jasmine carry case for me .4th floor Roomy b/room but b/room down corridor/changed to tiny b/room with ensuite on ground floor, suited me more.
Enjoyable neighborhood, great for walking, eating, browsing, close to the Acropolis.
Very basic shower, toilet facility, closet space.
Location - very close to the Plaka and Acropolis Reasonably priced for Athens Helpful when checking in, with info for the area Clean
Very tired decor Wafer thin walls between the rooms Crowded room for breakfast - pretty basic OK for a night, perhaps two - no more
Highly accessible to old athens and shopping. Excellent staff -special thanks to Jasmine &Andreas for answering questions and being so attentive. As a family run business, it has a homely feel and you also get to travellers fom all over the world.
I really liked the traditional character of the hotel and the location was ideal for all the sights near the Acropolis. I would definitely stay here again!
Central location, nice room with balcony and air conditioning, friendly staff
The hotel was no longer accepting card payments, expecting all customers to pay cash. They did not give advance notice of this prior to arrival.
We were able to get from the airport bus to the hotel easily, and we easily accessed the old city, the acropolis, and other sights of interest, restaurants, and shops. The staff was very helpful.
The room was cramped and there wasn't much room to put our suitcase and belongings. The shower was hot but awkward to use. The stairs outside our door was very creaky and noisy.
Room size good making space comfy. Rooms clean...Breakfast on offer was satisfying.
Room 111 facing street and kitchen area made undistutbed sleep or a sleep in impossible. Would have liked 5 min leeway offered re breakfast start time to not have to rush for a cruise pick up.
I booked it because of the location Breakfast good. Staff good
There were no electrical outlets in the room to charge cell, iPad, computer. There was only one light from the ceiling for the whole room. Super duper sub-standard. More like a hostel, than a hotel. I had booked it for 3 nights, I checked out after night 1 and moved elsewhere.
Excellent location. Breakfast was OK. Great price.
There was a small problem with my booking and I got a very small, noisy, hot room. The breakfast area was cramped also.
Staff very friendly and helpful
Location Quirky and homely interior and nice terrace for guest's use on first floor provision of free coffee and computing facilities - though there was no ink! friendly and efficient staff - though Jasmine way outstrips the rest Value is good - what do people expect? (I have read some reviews that surprise me)
The 'family' room was very small for four The bathroom is a quite tatty but adequate The staff member had no idea how to change the ink in the printer and seemed disinclined to find out!
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the location was convenient (reasonable walk to Syntagma Sq., metro, airport bus, Ermou St., Acropolis), the price was fair, the breakfast was tasty, there was wifi available (though only in the common area), the room was comfortable, and the air conditioning worked!
You couldn't pay by credit card, and being on the first floor, I heard a lot of noise from the kitchen as they were making breakfast starting at 7 or so. Facilities aren't fancy and new, but it's pleasant and comfortable.
I love the private balcony
Please provide hot water for guests to make tea or something ...
The hotel was in a great, central location. Jasmine had great recommendations for food and sight-seeing, arranging a driver for a wonderful trip to Delphi.
Hotel was rundown, but clean. In Plaka, so close to everything. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good value for the price. Room was big enough for the four of us.
Breakfast was ok, but heavy on the breads. Old hotel with chipping paint may be negative for some, but we saw it as part of the charm.
Great location on a quiet street just off the pedestrian only street and walking distance from the rail station and a pleasant 10 minute walk to the Acropolis. We stayed 2 nights in July 2014. The staff were all very helpful giving great suggestions for places to visit, etc. Jasmine was especially friendly and helpful. Rooms were basic and clean. No complaints. We had a wonderful stay!
Steps from the plaka. Very convenient!
Our suite was in desperate need of renovation. The old mansion is quite lovely and the entry has been maintained but our suite needed paint, newer lights and the bathroom was really unpleasant.
Very nice location at Plaka, near National Garden and Acropolis. Family driven, nice staff, good atmosphere, quiet
Wet floor at the bathroom after shower
A simple clean haven for my daughter and I when we arrived in Athens. It is in the heart of the Plaka, which was the perfect area for us considering we were only in Athens for 48 hours. The room was small and efficient, with a pretty little view from our window. Bed was comfortable, the staff was super helpful and welcoming, and we would definitely stay there again when we return to Athens.
View from balcony onto Acropolis Friendly, family like staff home cooked bread, pies, for breakfast very helpful in external services such as tour organizing cozy athmosphere in hotel at any time
bathroom a little small and old
Great location for the acropolis, cafés and stalls.
We had two rooms. Tripple share room ok, but twin share room right- very large with ornate ceilings, but located behind reception, that is open all night. Room still being renovated, holes in small parts of renovation, very noisy
