A short walk from the Acropolis, 5-star Royal Olympic Hotel is centrally located near the picturesque Plaka neighborhood. The luxurious rooms overlook Zeus’s Temple, or the swimming pool garden.

furnishings, helpfulness of staff, location, air conditioning.
- fast internet - good location
- poor coffee
Great location Nearby transport Good balcony overlooking main road Good air con A fridge for drinks Helpful staff An arrangement with a laundry so clothes could be dropped off and picked up from reception
2 beds pushed together. When getting active the beds could split apart leaving you with that sinking feeling
Central location, Friendly efficient staff, ideal for visit to Athens central
Breakfast area overcrowded and pressure from staff to move quicker through breakfast, rather noisy, because situated on big road
Comfy beds, happy teenagers who appreciated the t.v. , wifi and breakfast, a short walk to the plaka, ab fab staff
Traffic noise could irritate some, teenagers not keen to walk back alone thro' back streets later in the evening
Good location Wifi
Breakfast finish at 10
Great boutique hotel about 10-15 mins walk to Plaka & the Acropolis. Even though located on busy Syngrou Ave, hotel is quiet, clean & very comfortable.
The bed was very comfortable. The hotel is centrally situated on a big (and noisy) mainstreet. There are a lot of car rentals and several restaurants in the neighbourhood, however you can also find some erotic shops around. On our last day we had to leave early in the morning before breakfast time and they howevee let us pass to the breakfast room to take some things.
Our room was on the first floor next to the street and smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The picture of the hotel is irritating as the hotel seems to be something like a castle. The truth is that left and right to the hotel there are higher buildings and there is the mainstreet...
Close to everything, Donna and Liuba were very nice and helpful.
the hotel has some stairs between the entrance and the reception and then between the reception and first floor where the elevator is located. This might be a problem for some people as the hotel do not have staff to help with the luggage
Design and cleaness
Stairs to 4.floor, that create difficulty to old people Elevator 2 times drop down for few cm, not very nice feeling
This was our second stay at this Hotel and they gave us a free upgrade to a larger room, which was very much appreciated. The Hotel is very easy to find and is conveniently located to the Syngrou Fix Metro Station (5 min) and is also also close to the Acropolis. Lot of nice eating options are also nearby. We thought the breakfast was good when we stayed the first time (first day of holiday) but it was close to the best we experienced during 3 months travel of Turkey, Greece and Italy. The breakfast has plenty of hot and cold options, fresh fruit and the freshly squeezed orange juice was appreciated. Wifi was a bit slow but still highly recommended.
Nothing that we could really fault.
very helpfull staff. very pleasant pepole/ good location
The roons at the 4th floor were beautiful, modern and clean! The hotel is well located close to the Acropolis and historical areas. The staff was very caring and helpful with tips about Athens.
Unfortunately the elevator only takes you from 2nd floor to the 3rd. You must go by stairs until the 1st floor and from the 3rd to the 4th. They had no one to help us with the bags. So if you are an elderly couple or have special needs it's not a good place to stay. The shower was broken and the AC didn't really work in the beginning, but on our second day they managed to fix it.
The room was large and spacious, with an 'upper level' which the kids loved. The two main beds were each big enough for two adults. Breakfast offered a wide choice. Location of the hotel to some key attractions and a metro stop was also very convenient. The staff were also very helpful.
Just minor comments such as the signage for the main entrance could be clearer, and there were a couple of areas where cables and wiring could be covered. Wifi was also temperamental.
Clean, nice hotel. Central location
The toilet in the bathroom was faulty so kept flushing through the night which was loud and disrupted our sleep
Good city hotel, really helpful staff, walking distance to the main sights,
It was close to tourist attractions
Just about everything. Rude staff, grubby rooms, dreadful bathroom, TV not working, dungeon of a breakfast area
Nice hotel, very clean and the location is perfect
The only plus for this hotel is the location, close to main tourist attractions.
This hotel is outdated, there's no elevator, so is very difficult to drag your luggage up stairs, the stairs are narrow and in spiral. The room is very dark and I don't have words to describe the smell of the bathroom, wich by the way is not clean at all; the mattress and the pillow are not ok; breakfast is poor. Soo..I don't recommend it. You should find better hotels at this price range.
Good location for the tourist. While on a busy street noise levels were low. Good breakfast
Small room and bathroom but OK for one person
The Hotel was conveniently located close to Fira and the Acropolis. The staff was pleasant and went out of their way to accommodate our needs. We left very early to cath our flight and they ensured breakfast was waiting for us before we left.
The staff were amazing. the hotel perfectly situated and comfortable. We will go back but with smaller cases!!!
No lift to 1st floor and no porter. we were lucky, a man carried one of our cases up for us.
Great hotel!! Beautifully decorated, clean room, very friendly and helpful staff and most of all delicious regional breakfast! I highly recommend!
The bed was really comfortable. Overall, the room and hotel decor gave a sense of luxury. We got the hotel room at a really good price, so given that, it was a definitely value for money. However, if I was to spend more, I would spend on a hotel closer to Syntagma Square. Breakfast was good. Staff allowed us to leave our bags with them all day even after we checked out
Rooms are really small but then again, most of the rooms in hotels in Athens are tiny. Close to Plaka but next time I would prefer to stay close to Syntagma Square.
