Everything, really great place to stay with excellent staff.
Location- Near to metro Stations and Center of City Hearty and helpful attitude of Hotel Personal Delicious breakfast with rich alternative offers- particularly fresh orange juice Comfortable Bed and clean Bath. Economic price according its features
Traffic noise ( Particularly motorcycles") if you let room-balcony door open during day time.
It was in a great location, near to everywhere I needed to go. For such a central hotel it was very reasonably priced. I liked the hotel - it was less anodyne and more quirky.
The proximity of the hotel to the main tourist attractions is very likable for those who would prefer to be just out of the tourist quarters and more where the less polished city begins. The staff was professional and helpful. Breakfast was abundant. Wifi reception was acceptable.
Overall the hotel was like a relic dressed up to accommodate business oriented visitors and upon struggling with this mission swiftly converted to meet budget tourism demand. The room was a bit stifling with heavy curtains presumably chosen in order to mitigate the road noise as much as possible. Alas the rumble of the traffic was relentless and combined with other shortcomings became a real deal breaker. Other noises included piping that would wake you up whenever one of your neighbours flushed their toilet. Finally, if I were to choose one flaw that would be the signifier for all the rest, that would be the mother of all evil; a leaky bath tub.
Proximity to Acropolis and the restaurants in the Plaka (especially Dionysius). We liked the National Archeological Museum and the Maritime Museum. Hotel was always open, safe, clean, with very nice staff
No mini-bar or tea in room; needed great perseverence and intelligence to get the TV working; breakfast slightly crowded; none of these were major issues
price room design location
very noisy avenue bathroom design small, bad quality tv that occupies half desk space
The hotel was located within walking distance to many tourist attractions(the Acropolis, Stygma square, and other ruins) and there were many shopping and dining options nearby in the Plaka district. The breakfast that was included was tasty and substantial. The staff was very congenial and offered helpful suggestions for planning daily excursions.
We got a different room after asking without any problems.
The rooms on the street side are really noisy. The single beds used as double are really uncomfortable.
The hotel was very easy to reach by Metro from the airport. The staff helped us to find our way to places of interest and recommended good restaurants. All the main points of interest were within walking distance. The breakfast had more variety than we found in other places.
Nice design, clean, friendly staff, strategic location. Walking distance to the Acropolis, Acropolis Museum, and the Temple of Zeus. Walk a bit more further you can reach Plaka & Syntagma square.
Dining area is however quite small and most of the tables are for 2 guests only.
Everything was great! The staff was always helpful, the room was clean and tidy, tthe wifi reception at the room was excellent. The hotel was conveniently located to the acropolis museum, monastiraki, sintagma square and so on and there was also a metro station nearby. All in all a great choice!
Nothing bad to comment about!
The beds are out of this world > amazing. I am thinking of importing the mattress, pillows the whole lot back to uk. Coco beds... ; ) Also the breakfast is Perfect! With fresh oranges for juice.
That It's hard to leave the comfy bed/ room for sightseeing... &Amp; That the beach isn't right outfront the door. ; )
The hotel is easily accessible. Although it is a small old bulding it was clean. Room was comfortable, WiFi had good reception, Breakfast was very good. Above all staff was excellent. Hily reccommented.
Good location for visiting the sites and restaurants.
We had a room at the front of the hotel and the noise from the road was disturbing.
Location was brilliant! 2 minute walk to yellow open tour bus service so you are able to get to all the most important attractions and activities of Athens. Also 2 minutes to one of two metro stations making getting around a cinch. Recommendation of local eatery was superb-food was amazing and extremely well priced. Only a short 5 minute walk to restaurant full of locals-loved it! Made the trip very worthwhile and memorable. thanks guys, we'll see you again for sure!
beatiful interior, neo-classical building
next to a busy street
Location, room, hospitality from the staff/reception, this place is just perfect
I liked the location being so close to Acropolis and the center of Athens. I liked your breakfasts and the service!
First night in your hotel did not sleep very well because heavy noise from the street. I did not like the busy street with heavy car traffic - noise is especially hard for me in your rooms facing the busy street. The room I stayed the rest of my time was facing courtyard much better. I would stay there again only if able to book the room facing courtyard.
The pillows!! I could have slept on them all day! The location was quite central, only a short walk from everything. Very clean! The bathroom was lovely and the room very nicely decorated, as was the rest of the hotel! WIFI was good in all the rooms, breakfast satisfactory and the staff very friendly! I wish we'd stayed longer! Will definitely return ;)
Location was very good. Very close to the metro station. Can reach the hotel by metro from the Air Port directly. Close to Placa, Acropolis, etc
The main door of the room should be made sound proof as it is very noisy at night when anyone of the neighbouring guests returns to their room at night. Very importantly there is no one to help you with your luggage and there is no lift in the property.... God help you if you are travelling heavy....
The hotel offers value priced accommodations in an often expensive area. Easy to walk to Plaka and Monastaraki, and plenty of cafes in the neighborhood. The best thing going for it is its location.
It's an old hotel, and although lovingly restored, there were some minor annoyances that wouldn't be found at a newer, modern location. The toilet would frequently run after flushing (requiring jiggling to stop), there was no restaurant or bar on property, and the rooms are quite small, even by European standards.
Very kind and helpful staff.
The hotel has a central location close to the main touristic sites but it is situated on a very busy road so almost impossible to sleep during the night.
location and friendly staff
the staffs were very friendly and kind. they also gave me some nice suggestions. location was excellent as well.
the facilities are quite old, some was very closed to out of order. the towels had been used many times, you can find rough selvedge on them. most important is the cleaning service was bad.
Great staff very helpful, fantastic location, great rooms, and very good breakfast.
