My second time in Adams Hotel. And I am sure I will come a third time as well.
Excellent location, located between the Acropolis and the Temple of Zeus so that it is possible to do everything on foot. Good breakfast and comfortable room. 24/7 reception, it was very useful because our flight arrived late.
Nothing to complain about.
Location is excellent. Area is very quiet at night. Wifi works great.
Bathroom is small and needs renovation.
Location was great and staff were very accommodating.
Location of the hotel was excellent
Wheels of the beds made us feel very unconfortable
I liked the situation of this hotel, it was near everything we wanted to see. And it was very quiet area at night.
The bathroom was adequate, but could do with upgrading, the bath was obviously quite old, and didn't look clean.
the service was good, staff were friendly
Heating was poor and room was a little run-down
Location is excellent. Staff is helpful and nice.
My room was very cold despite heater working all night, I had to use double bed cover.
near from acropolis
Stayed 3 days at the hotel. Location is very good near to acropolis and others is walking distance. Hotel room is clean, breakfast is fair priced at just 5euros per pax. Wi-fi was working. Highlight was the manager or owner who went out in the rain to find us umbrellas! Couldn't be more grateful!
Noise from the street could be heard
The location was great. Clean and very friendly staff. Nice breakfast for the money.
First off, the staff was great! When we arrived, they took one look at our family (many small children) and promptly moved us to a room better suited. Actually, they gave us the keys to both rooms and asked us to choose, and suggested the one they felt was better. They were right. The room worked out so well for us. The place was very clean in a safe area. It was also right by all the sites we wanted to see so we did not have to take all the kids to walk too far (all under 5). The Acropolis and museum were all within 10 minutes walking for us, Hadrian's Arch and The Olympian were 5 minutes, if that. Without luggage, the walk to Syntagma Square and the palace for the Changing of the Guards is only about 10 minutes away. Behind the hotel is a pedestrian only street with plenty of restaurants and souvenir shops. While touristy, they weren't too overpriced compared to some other stores we saw. As a side note for those looking for vegan/vegetarian/allergy friendly place to eat, Avocado was only about a 7-8 minute walk and was excellent! They also had an organic market right next door. I believe the address was 30 Nikis. If you take the pedestrian road behind the hotel and keep going towards Nikis, you'll get there quicker than on the main road. Nikis will be the street where the pedestrian road meets the travel agency on the right hand corner. Turn left and go until you find #30. We took a taxi to the hotel, but took bus X95, at Syntagma Square, back. Dragging all the luggage and having all the kids (except the infant) walk, took us around 15-20 minutes to get to the stop. It was well worth the money savings as the bus is 5 euros each adult and the taxi cost 35 euros. The walk was not difficult since the walk there was paved. We didn't bring a stroller, but they have one to loan out if you need it. It worked out great when we went to the museum. They also have a pack and play if needed.
There was lots of smoking in the halls. The rooms also have ashtrays. We didn't realize that there would be so much smoking. Once the room door was closed, we didn't smell it though. The room also did not smell of smoke. Breakfast was not ideal for us. It was definitely bare basics, of boiled eggs and a continental breakfast. I put it on the negative side because we were never really full after breakfast. However, it is far from being a deal breaker. In fact, if we do return to Athens, we would strongly consider this hotel again.
Location and price
Staff accused me of not stating that we wanted a baby crib in advance when it was clearly in the Booking.com special requests section of my reservation. He provided it anyway after we requested it at our arrival, so it was a moot point, and didn't need to be said. Otherwise, staff was pleasant to us.
The location is perfect. Easy to walk to all the main attractions. Syntagma Square is a 5 minute walk away and you can get the metro from the airport to there. Fresh towels each day and room cleaned. We came in in the early hours a couple of times & there was always someone there.
Room is very dated. Slight smell of smoke in stairwell the first evening. This stopped. Shower head in room 103 was broken, so I had to hold it over myself. Room was great, however, if you don't want to hear the doorbell go at 4am and footsteps on the stairwell, you may want a room further away. I had earplugs, my other half didn't.
I stayed for five nights and was delighted that I chose this hotel. It was safe, clean and very comfortable at a low budget price. It is a shirt walk from the Acropolis and within 5 minutes walk to the nearest Metro. The staff were professional and helpful.
Great people Nice location Everything is good when people is very nice
Good location, clean room , friendly person, hot water and aircontidion is good working::)
breakfast location wifi clean helpful staff
thin walls but its ok considering the amount of money we pay.
Location was awesome, most of the sights are in walking distance Good value for money considering the location
If they make a slight renovation and improve the decor of room and washrooms then I think this would be one of the best hotels to stay in
Firendly, helpful staff, great location, wifi, balcony
Breakfast could be improved
Great location and good accommodation for the price charged. The room is simple but it is a good option of hotel for those who can't spend much money but want to stay close from tourist sites.
Wifi didn't work very well Inside the room. But works good at reception
Stayed in an Acropolis view room which was excellent value for money. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location perfect, as most things within easy walk.
The view and a nice big balcony my room came with. Central location on the foothills of the Acropolis. Handy for seeing the old city Plaka!
Being an old building itself, sounds travelled and any other guest coming in very late at night, were easily heard in the hallway!
in a nice area well located central to town very close to the Acropolis Museum
