Score from 397 reviews Good
great location, in pedesterian area, walking distance to center, lovely restaurantas and cafes around, also walking distance to the airport bus
the breakfast selection was very limited. the price of the hotel was good for the facilities but they could at least have feta and olives added to their breakfast menü.
we stayed in Adonis Hotel for the 1st time . The service of the all the staff was excellent ....especially Stelios and George at the front desk .we will be back for sure
Location and friendly helpful staff. Had view of Acropolis from bed (although a building and wires obstructed view was still cool)
Tiny room and difficult to walk between 2 beds. Hot water sometimes didn't work.
A great location and a good view of the Acropolis which was within easy walking distance.
Room smelled of stale cigarette smoke.
Rooms were very clean. Location was perfect!
Rooms are small, has no soundproofing.
Excellent service in the reception. Friendly staff at the breakfast. Good cleaning. Perfect location, near to the metro.
the breakfast could be a little bit richer. (enough for us, but I can Imagine that tourists will be more pleased if it was for example also a dark bread as choice and some vegetables)
The hotel just near the all archaeological sites. The view from the restaurant is amazing. The stuff tried to be useful, but... (see dislikes)
If you wish to see the smallest bathroom in the world visit this hotel. The lift in the hotel is really dangerous (the door closes after it is already in the movement). The most thing we didn't like in this hotel: We were waiting for delivery of our suitcase, that our air-company had lost. We told about that a receptionist several times. The next day we complained to a lost-and-found service about our suitcase which we still didn't get. They told it was already delivered to the hotel 2 days ago. 8| We asked the receptionist again, and think what?! Our luggage was in the hotel storeroom.
Location, breakfast, staff more than helpful, good value given location
Room tiny, air conditioning too hot and no individual control per room
perfect location. very close to the city center. the rooms are modern, clean and newly refurbished. excellent view from the balcony. very friendly and supporting staff.
breakfast doesn't have any greek traditional food
The position is really great (close to the city center and all the 'must see'places that a tourist should see. The stuff was smily and really willing to help. Pretty clean room, daily cleaning.
Small toillet, no liquid soap provided for body and hair wash.
The location is great, in the historic centre of Athens. In general, the hotel is a very good value for money for people who want to visit Athens for tourism. The staff was ultra kind and helpful and the room was clean, with a very nice balcony
The room/bathroom was relatively small. I am not aware about the size of other rooms though.
We stayed here as a party of 6 in Nov 2011 and really enjoyed it. This time ,however,we were in a different room and the bathroom was so small that even cleaning your teeth was difficult. The staff were great and the breakfast on the roof terrace with a view of the Acropolis/Parthenon takes some beating. Nice to see the Scots lady in the breakfast room, very nice lady.
The bathroom. We live in Crete so we are used to small Greek bathrooms and wet rooms but this bathroom made life difficult.
Location is perfect, friendly staff, good working WiFi, nice breakfast on roof terrace with a nice view over the city, especially the Acropolis. Fair price. We certainly will return next time.
Bathroom is small.
It is a convenient place to stay as all the major attractions for sightseeing is just a short walk away.
Location, quiet, recent renovation, spotless clean, best staff ever! Highly recommend it
It may have small elevator and the bathroom wasn't huge but if you know Greece well you know that the buildings were like this from the beginning of time!!! In other words a great option for its money
Great location, very helpful staff. Loved the view from top floor where the breakfast is served!
Excelent location and very nice staff
Location, good staff, hot water in shower nice room! I stay a week and it was lovely! Love athens!
breakfast is ok. small shower but i never care
Best hotel we used on the inexpensive end for the best value in Europe!
We liked all the staff very much, extremely friendly and helpful. Great breakfast and wonderful view. A central position for everything, and a lovely place to relax after a hectic day.
nothing to dislike
spotlessly clean, great location and the staff are so friendly. The breakfast was simple but fresh and very tasty and the view of the Acropolis while eating is stunning
having to leave
Staff went out of their way to help us when we made a HUGE passport error (left them at the hotel when we went to the airport!). Staff also on hand to suggest places to visit/eat/see. Location is unbeatable. Great view from the rooftop bar!
Cleaning staff were really noisy in the early mornings- woke us up every morning. Noise in general carried a lot. Bathrooms were tiny!
Where to start? Upon arrival I was given a room without a view on a lower floor – the exact opposite of my request at booking. The great view they advertise from the roof is only available at breakfast so you will never see the lighted Acropolis. I wanted to see it at night. The front desk man said to me, when I asked for the key – just to go up and just to take a quick picture: “No - it is forbidden.” At that point I knew it was 'forbidden' for me not to warn people about this place. The room itself had hard beds, no shower curtain and was way too hot; the air conditioner is controlled from the front desk and they turned it off so it should not be included in their list of facilities! They also want you to leave your key with them when you go out … obviously not trusting guests. Also, the early breakfast is just cheap bread, processed ham slices with cold hard-boiled egg and some cereal ... and it's over at 09:30!!! Obviously - they don’t want to pay the one staff person there an extra hour.
If they had more amenable staff with better customer service (Staff who know when to say ‘yes’ to customers rather than ‘forbidden’) and open the roof terrace at night when asked I would have been much happier. That view is the the main reason I booked the place. Of course the front desk person said the terrace bar is closed in the winter as it's not so busy. So, the hotel was on one hand ‘too full’ to give me the room I asked for yet on the other hand not busy enough to allow guests on the terrace in the evening.
Fantastic location, could print out boarding pass for free, nice simple breakfast on the balcony, rooms cleaned each day (even if you put up a do not disturb sign on door!)
Roof top bar was closed whilst we were there (guess due to it being low season), no view out of window - over looking other apartments, someone prank called us from another room very late at night
