The owner is amazingly helpful. I have literally never experienced such amazing customer service!
It was everything we hoped for: quiet, clean, charming, comfortable. Stamatis, the owner of the hotel, was helpful and engaging. As we expected, the hotel was as close to all the best hiking trails as the port town.
Adonis is a fantastic hotel. Stamatis is an excellent host and happy to help with anything you need. I went in late September, which is well after the high season, and Apollon was quiet but still a nice place to relax. I went to sleep and woke up every day to the sound of waves, since the ocean is less than a one minute walk from the hotel (and you can see the ocean from the first and second floors).
I have nothing negative to say about Hotel Adonis. I wanted quiet, with few other tourists, and that is exactly what I found. If you want some nightlife, you might be disappointed by Apollon. But they had great dining options and it was wonderful to walk down the beach in the evening.
The location is fantastic, the hotel very comfortable, with great views and excellent range of food, and the owner, Stamatis, could not be more helpful and friendly. It is also terrific value, perhaps because the resort is small and undeveloped, and is not the easiest place to get to! Definitely worth the effort, though, and we would go again.
There was nothing we did not like.
On-road parking right outside. Excellent quality beds. Attentive owner/manager. Good location.
Uninviting breakfast area, so went to the store for food to eat elsewhere. Most expensive we paid in 4 islands.
The warm welcome with lemon sweet; the continuing hospitality of the owner; his mother's home cooking; wifi everywhere; size of room; relaxed atmosphere.
Lack of reading lights by the bed; bathroom fittings could be updated.
A great little hotel with a great price. It was a pleasure being on the far side of Naxos with easy access to the less touristed beaches. We don't usually eat meals in hotels, but the food was delicious and affordable, made from the fruits and veggies in the family garden. I highly recommend the homemade liquors for dessert!
The hotel is up a little road from the beach and doesn't have the best of views - however this was more than counterbalanced by the hospitality, and by the abundance of scenery in the area. Very pleased!
Was an authentic experience of the Greek islands. A small cosy town with the beach across the road. Beautiful water and not a packed beach. Traditional cuisines for dinner each night at the hotel. Statmatis was very friendly and accommodating
No ATM in apollon. Only downfall.
Simplicity and quality of all service, in particular the taste of food is excellent.
To stay inApolloni you need a scooter or a car, the little village is very far from Naxos city, but for this it is beautiful and very quiet.
Very polite owner! Organic self-supplyed vegatables!
The staff was so nice! The owner gave us good advice and helped us in any way. I recommend to ask the hotel owner to rent a car before getting there, in order to get cheaper prices and because it's difficult to find one there. The hotel was walking distance from the sea, even the garden view rooms could clearly see the sea. The only beach easily reachable from apollonas, where the hotel is, is Panormos in the south, but it was still 1h30 to get there by car; it' less touristic though. It's easier to get there from apollonas than from naxos city.
It was really far from Naxos town, about 40 km and because of the mountainous landscape, it takes 1 hour to get to naxos town. Really far from beaches except the one walking distance from the hotel. You can reach the hotel only by car or big quads ( but the car is less expensive: about 40 euros per day), it's dangerous to get there with a moped or quad. Places where you can dance and have fun in the evening are only in Naxos city.
Very hospitable host. Rooms were perfect with everything you needed. Greeted with water and home made sweets on arrive was a very nice touch. Great place for a relaxing getaway
People should note that Apollon is a 2 hour bus ride through the winding mountains of naxos so book for more than one night as the buses only run every 4-5 hours
Nice hotel. Very friendly staff. Stamatis is an excellent host and is very helpful. Food is good and many of the dishes come from produce from Stamatis' garden. Also very nice that the hotel has beach umbrellas that the guests can use.
No hotel shuttle and bus schedule is limited to two buses a day to go to or leave Apollon. Taxi ride to hotel is at least 50 euro.
Clean, well kept, friendly staff Close to beach Lovely cheap tavernas nearby Better for a couple of days stay, too remote for much longer
Very small village, only one sandy beach which was always full and taken over by paddle board players, no sunbeds either Only one very poor supermarket
Helpfull staff and good food
Far away from the center, there is no service and even no rent a car or bike close to the hotel. You cant move easily.
Excellent hospitality, very clean and amazing food. The sea is just across the street and Stamatis is a greaqt host making your stay there memorable.
Public transportation in the island is not good.
The staff and the owner of the hotel, Stamatis, are perfect. The hotel is very convivial, Stamatis is very helpful and available for his customers.
The hotel has the chance to have a garden in which the cook takes his vegetables, but he still needs to know how to cook them well. The Wifi is very bad. Impossible to connect from the room, only at the reception.
A great hotel in a good position in a lovely location. You can see the beach from the hotel and a lovely ride over the mountains to the village of Apollon. They had a lot of home grown foods and were very helpful and friendly.
The people that are running the place will do anything for you Homemade organic food Clean Lovely atmosphere Free local liquors ;) Middle of nowhere
Middle of nowhere ( hate it or love it. It does have a tiny supermarket in the village)
My friend and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Adonis. Stamatis, the owner, could not be more welcoming and accomidating from the moment we walked in and he presented us with cold water and homemade lemon sweets to waking up extra early to wish us safe travels. The meals at the hotel were some of the best we experienced in Greece, the ingredients fresh from his gardens (ask for a tour!) or the island. The facilities were clean and the town was charming and peaceful. Unbelievable value and an amazing experience of Greek hospitality! Hotel Adonis felt like home
I loved everything about this hotel! I haven't one complaint.
Great location, peaceful and great veiws. Although it is 40 minutes from the main town, so you'll have to hire a car. Worth the drive. Great staff and amazing food.
Fantastic owner who looked after us really well. Great food
My sister and I had the most wonderful three nights at the Adonis Hotel--definitely the high of our trip to Greece! Stamatis and his staff were exceptionally welcoming, helpful, and full of suggestions to make our stay more enjoyable. The small details really made our stay stand out, like the citrus spoon sweets we were greeted with on arrival or the evening that Stamatis stayed up to tell us about the island over dinner. Apollon is a charming little town with great food, beautiful views, and warm people. We had a great time exploring the beautiful countryside of Naxos with the Adonis Hotel as a home base. Highly recommended!
