Excellent location if you do not have a car with you. Kettle with coffee and tea in the room.
We found parking, but it might be a problem if you arrive earlier in the day. Not the most comfortable mattress, but totally acceptable.
at walking distance from most attractions of Athens
We like to be in the Plaka area (we spend time in Athens after Christmas on our way back to the UK from Kefalonia every year) & Hotel Adrian is in the perfect location. All the staff were very helpful & pleasant. There was plenty of variety for breakfast which was all really good. Nice to have drink making facilities in our room + mini bar which was reasonably priced. Our room had an Acropolis view which was an added bonus :)
Nothing to dislike although the 1/2 size bath was a first time experience for us and caused amusement.
Location. Room size.
Small shower. Weak WiFi signal.
The hotel was situated in the centre of Plaka in a quiet street with no traffic. The staff was very friendly and forthcoming and did their best to comply with any requests. Freshly squeezed orange juice brought the breakfast standard up a bit.
The pictures on booking.com do not match reality. We found the rooms to be drab and quite depressing with tiny bathrooms with broken tiles and worn down toilet seats. The view was a house wall. We upgraded our room and were moved to the third floor which provided better light and a views (only a couple of rooms have Acropolis views - so make sure you ask for it especially). Also rooms with double beds were limited. All in all a very run down hotel in need of a shine-up. The staff, however, made up a little for the disappointment.
Very conveniently located. Easy access to all including Metro, restaurants, bars, shopping streets etc. Really helpful staff, speaking good English. Value for Money!
The room with Acropolis View is not worth it where the site is blocked by a huge tree/ buildings. Rather i prefer the street view where you see some action and not bored.
We loved it, though we stayed only one night...wish we could have stayed longer. Staff great, food delicious, and location stupendous...
Helpful staff...good location...quiet room in the back... dd
Location, clean, everything perfect.
Area was safe, room was perfect, great location, overall no complaints! Would stay there again.
the room is clean and the host are nice and really helpful. best location!!good internet
the pictures in the web shows it will be a balcony with beautiful views, but actually there in the front of the balcony is a wall...and we can't see any beautiful scenery
The staff is sooo nice for everything!
The quilt, and I have to reconnect to wifi from time to time~
Room is small. Bathroom is small and old/dirty and desperately needs a facelift! We booked a triple room as there was no family room available and my 2 kids are too small to stay on their own in a separate room. Upon check in, the staff told us that he would not charge us for additional headcount since my kids were small but he would charge for breakfast which we thought was fair. We didn't ask for additional bed thinking that we should not demand for thing we were not going to pay for. However, upon check out, we were asked to pay €13 for the child because it was the hotel policy across the country!!! How can the hotel do this? This is not a new policy. The hotel should have told us upfront if it was going to charge us so that we could then ask for the add'l bed that we were rightfully entitled to! And now, after we have concluded our 12 days tour in Greece, I can safely confirm that Adrian is the only hotel that charged us additional for a small kid that requires no additional bed!!!
Location and friendly staff.
bad smell, fungus on the walls, smelly moisture at the room, poor view (on the wall on the next building). Basically there are better hotels for the same money.
Breakfast on the rooftop verandah looking out to the Acropolis.
Central location, near the Metro station as well as other historical places. Courteous staff Rooftop Restaurant for breakfast, with the company of sparrows and pigeons
Paper thin walls. We could hear whenever anyone opened the elevator door or even that of the neighboring room The "Acropolis View" room gave a distant view of the Acropolis from between other buildings
This hotel is near the metoro station and dwon twon. But quiet. It has half bath tab and terrace. We can have breakfast with seeing the Acropolis. From Japanese Y.A.
Birds try to have our beakfast.
location, terrace, breakfast
old bath, some balconies have no view
the place near sightseeing place,it's very convenient.
very near to the acropolis, going up stairs follow the path we reach the acropolis within 10 minutes. and quiet.
small entrance makes it a little bit hard to find.
Accommodated an early breakfast snack due to our early flight. They let us leave some extra luggage for a few days even though we were not returning to the Adrian. Close to center.
Staff helpful but not "with a smile"
Room improved since last stay two years ago but black mould in shower. Towels and linen changed daily. Room very clean.
Breakfast mediocre. Served on terrace (later in year will be indoors) and many pigeons/sparrows flying from table to table, taking food from plates and landing on cups and food implements. Most unhygienic - staff took little notice.
Such a good location to walk the cobbled treats of Plaka and to the many Athenian sites. Lots of cafes and shopping nearby
