The balcony with the view--the location within walking distance of everything! It needs updating, the room particularily the bathroom, it's old, its dirty. I was not looking for anything other than a hot shower and a clean bed,the room actually the building itself needs updating terribly. There were roaches on the stairwell, the floors in the room & bathroom are dirty, especially in the corners. This place could be a gold mine, the location is excellent. It just needs updating, the most wonderful part was the terrace, if they would pay attention to the rest of the building as they have the terrace it would be excellent. The terrace should be open at night for the excellent views, it wasn't . I would not stay here again, It felt dirty. Really, I wasn't looking for the Mariott-- just clean.

The staff at the hotel were wonderful. The location is perfect and the rooms were clean and very nice. Having a balcony was a nice plus. I would highly recommend this hotel. Fresh squeezed orange juice in the morning was an unexpected surprise. Everything was wonderful

Location was great, five mins to bus tours, 2 mins to metro station, plenty of cafes around. Our room overlooked the road/entrance but was quiet. It was great to sit on the balcony after the children went to bed, watching all that was going on.

We read the reviews before booking and is as described - a little shabby, but everything was comfortable, nice crisp sheets and a pretty view from balcony. Location is perfect and Staff helpful. The breakfast on the roof terrace overlooking the Acroplolis is what really makes this hotel stand out. Would definately stay again - if they upgrade the rooms they will have a goldmine!

The location was fantastic, but any hotel in the Plaka is in a great location. The breakfast was pretty good - eggs, breads, cheeses, cold meats, yogurt, hot chocolate, OJ The shower was small even for a European hotel - it was 18" square and the shower head was hand-held with no place to put it on the wall - you had to hold it the whole time. The water would randomly get hotter and colder.

The hotel was convenient for getting to the metro.Fairly good value for €, but would be better if b/f had been included. €14 was a bit steep for what was on offer.

The hotel was in a great location for visiting the main tourist sites in Athens - walking distance to the acropolis and other sites on the same ticket. Two blocks from major shopping and all types of places to eat. The staff was friendly and helpful. Despite the city location, the room was quiet at night. Truly a great budget place to stay (don't expect luxury). Continental breakfast had a lot of variety and free WiFi was a plus. Twin beds were a little small and hard, but we still slept soundly each night.

We stayed during December 11. The hotel staff were well spoken in English and extremely friendly and very helpful. The value for money was excellent. Location of the hotel is smack bang where all the sites are which are within 2 kilometers in any direction of this hotel. The hotel is only a few hundred meters from the busy shopping area but is far enough away to be very quiet for sleeping and resting during the day. The room we stayed in had a balcony which was a bonus! I recommend the Adrian hotel and will stay there again when visiting Athens.

The location was superb. Breakfast served on the roof terrace overlooking the Acropolis was outstanding - food and view! Very convenient for sightseeing and dropping back at mid day for a cup of tea before going somewhere else. Fabulous restaurants all around the area. Will definately stay there again when in Athens next. The best rooms with the views of the Acropolis were directly under the roof terrace where breakfast was served. Unfortunately breakfast was served from 6.00 am!! There was a lot of noise from 5.30 am - scraping chairs, footsteps etc. We did actually pay a supplement to upgrade to this room too.

Comfy beds, helpful staff, lovely balcony for breakfast. Good central location, lots of hot water. Think it was overpriced for the low season of year. Especially when compared to prices offering for next year's high season.

I liked the view of the Acropolis from the window, I liked the balcony on the roof where we had breakfast. The breakfast was good ' and rich enough. The orange juice was delecious. The stuff of the hotel was very helpfull, we stayed during the strike and they helped us out with getting information. It would be nice to get to the roof during the day not only at breakfast time. Carpets must be changed.

the Adrian hotel is in an excellent position, with the most amazing views from the balcony. its small, clean, with good staff, and an excellent breakfast and view on the roof during the good weather months. room was fine, bathroom a little small and dated, but for the price, facilities, and location could not complain. handy to all the local ruins, good restaurants, and its amongst the local shops. Plaka is good value, really busy on a sunday when all the locals are out as well, lots to see. just the bathroom maybe, but it was very clean so not a big problem.
