The balcony with the view--the location within walking distance of everything! It needs updating, the room particularily the bathroom, it's old, its dirty. I was not looking for anything other than a hot shower and a clean bed,the room actually the building itself needs updating terribly. There were roaches on the stairwell, the floors in the room & bathroom are dirty, especially in the corners. This place could be a gold mine, the location is excellent. It just needs updating, the most wonderful part was the terrace, if they would pay attention to the rest of the building as they have the terrace it would be excellent. The terrace should be open at night for the excellent views, it wasn't . I would not stay here again, It felt dirty. Really, I wasn't looking for the Mariott-- just clean.

The staff at the hotel were wonderful. The location is perfect and the rooms were clean and very nice. Having a balcony was a nice plus. I would highly recommend this hotel. Fresh squeezed orange juice in the morning was an unexpected surprise. Everything was wonderful

Location, location, location! As an Athens stopover it was an excellent choice - it allowed us quick and convenient access to the Acropolis and the Plaka district over 2 nights (one full day) between the ferry port and the airport. Great choice of restaurants just across the street for dinner and the rooftop breakfast was very pleasant, with a good variety of food. Room was clean but "tired". Room was very small and tired, and smelled of damp - we had to leave the A/C on to keep the room fresh. Bathroom was tiny, with sit-down type shower, but the towels were clean and were repaced daily.

THere were special touches such as flat screen tv's, fresh orange juice and cooked breakfast as well as a well stocked mini-bar. The location was outstanding in the area of Plaka right near Monastiraki.

Nice hotel in great location in Monastriakiou/Plaka area in the old part of the city, close to the Acropolis, Agora, and other sites. Not an Americam style hotel but fine if you're used to European type budget hotels. Nice view of the Acropoils from the rooms on higher floors and friendly staff.

The location was excellent for the city of Athens.Ease of in reach of all the shops and transport and the ancient sites.Small and friendly. The view from the balcony was excellent. Rather old and needs modernisation. The bathroom was quaint, but clean and well maintained. The beds were hard and the sheets too small.

The location was fantastic, but any hotel in the Plaka is in a great location. The breakfast was pretty good - eggs, breads, cheeses, cold meats, yogurt, hot chocolate, OJ The shower was small even for a European hotel - it was 18" square and the shower head was hand-held with no place to put it on the wall - you had to hold it the whole time. The water would randomly get hotter and colder.

The hotel was convenient for getting to the metro.Fairly good value for €, but would be better if b/f had been included. €14 was a bit steep for what was on offer.

The hotel was in a great location for visiting the main tourist sites in Athens - walking distance to the acropolis and other sites on the same ticket. Two blocks from major shopping and all types of places to eat. The staff was friendly and helpful. Despite the city location, the room was quiet at night. Truly a great budget place to stay (don't expect luxury). Continental breakfast had a lot of variety and free WiFi was a plus. Twin beds were a little small and hard, but we still slept soundly each night.

We stayed during December 11. The hotel staff were well spoken in English and extremely friendly and very helpful. The value for money was excellent. Location of the hotel is smack bang where all the sites are which are within 2 kilometers in any direction of this hotel. The hotel is only a few hundred meters from the busy shopping area but is far enough away to be very quiet for sleeping and resting during the day. The room we stayed in had a balcony which was a bonus! I recommend the Adrian hotel and will stay there again when visiting Athens.

I liked it's location within the Plaka District and it's close proximity to the major attractions and to the Metro Station. We got a room with a balcony that had a view of the Acropolis, amazing!

The location was superb. Breakfast served on the roof terrace overlooking the Acropolis was outstanding - food and view! Very convenient for sightseeing and dropping back at mid day for a cup of tea before going somewhere else. Fabulous restaurants all around the area. Will definately stay there again when in Athens next. The best rooms with the views of the Acropolis were directly under the roof terrace where breakfast was served. Unfortunately breakfast was served from 6.00 am!! There was a lot of noise from 5.30 am - scraping chairs, footsteps etc. We did actually pay a supplement to upgrade to this room too.

Comfy beds, helpful staff, lovely balcony for breakfast. Good central location, lots of hot water. Think it was overpriced for the low season of year. Especially when compared to prices offering for next year's high season.
