I stayed 3 nights here and found it perfect for me. It is basic but perfect for independent travellers. The owner was very relaxed and accommodating. He took me on a trip out to the Theopetra Show Cave (where there are Paleolithic remains with putative Neanderthal footprints) and also brought me to show how to scale a mountain I had in mind. He would not accept payment for this even though it saved me about 20-30euro in taxi fares. The hotel is literally in the heart of the town of Kalambaka with great balconies and views of the hills. I STRONGLY recommend staying in the town as it is amazing to look up at the hills from below - and Aeolic Star is the perfect choice. The one recommendation I would make is to create common room in the hotel - like a hostel where solo travellers can meet. This could be done easily by creating a simple 'book exchange' with a coffee dock and/or 'web area' on the ground floor.

Me ha gustado mucho, el personal del hotel es encantador, las habitaciones amplias y súper limpias, y esta ubicado en el centro de Kalambaca . Relación calidad - precio inmejorable.

Ottima posizione, delizioso con balconcini privati che affacciano sulle Meteore, proprio sulla piazza dove c'è la fermata dei bus, ristoranti, alimentari, negozi, bar e centro di informazione, permette di raggiungere alcuni monasteri tramite percorso a piedi. Super consigliato ottima qualità/prezzo

Este situat in centrul orasului cu vedere partiala spre Meteora.Are parcare publica in apropiere.

Prin booking.com am rezervat o camera tripla cu balcon,cu vedere spre Meteora.Ajunsi la acest hotel patronul ne-a dat o alta camera fara balcon si cu o suprafata fffff mica .Atragandu-i atentia ca nu asta rezervasem,acesta ne-a replicat ca booking .com prezinta aceleasi facilitati pt. toate hotelurile...si daca vrem totusi acea camera(pe care o rezervasem) trebuie sa-i platim in plus 15 euro. In plus nu am avut apa calda !

La ubicación es excelente, justo en el centro de la ciudad y permitiendo al mismo tiempo salir rápidamente a visitar los monasterios.

En el ático no llega bien la señal wifi para acceder a internet, yo no conseguí conectar.

It was close to the main bus station, cafes and a short bus trip away from Kastraki where you can visit the meteora monastries (A MUST!). It only costs 4 euro for a taxi from Kastraki to Kalambaka if there are no available buses..otherwise you will be walking 10 kms from the monastry to Kalambaka. We only paid $25 euro a couple for a room for the night including breakfast which was exceedingly cheap!

It was very dated and a bit unusual.....but they made us feel at home.

The hotel is in a good location just under the mountains and not far from the bus stop.

This is an old hotel and for 30 euro a night that is okay. However the level of care was not good. -The room was not made up while we were there and we ran out of toilet paper by the first evening and had to use our own tissues for the rest of our stay. Plus the only bin was tiny and in the bathroom and was not changed. -There was only a thick woolen blanket which was too warm but the sheet alone too cold. When I asked for a thinner blanket one was left on the landing for us and when I discovered it had long black hairs all over it I did what I did the previous night and slept under towels. -The owner smoked in the dining room adjoined to the foyer and the smoke wafted up the stairs to our room. -The breakfast consisted of two fried eggs, ham, cheese, bread and condiments as well as tea and coffee. It seems that the eggs were cooked at about 7am and laid out on the breakfast table along with the ham cheese and bread, so the eggs were cold by the time we came down at 8am and we noticed a fly walking on the ham of the breakfast next to us as the people weren't there.

La ubicacion del hotel es excelente. Y las vistas desde la terraza de la habitacion son espectaculares. Nos dieron una habitacion en la ultima planta estupenda. Desayuno copioso. Ambiente acogedor y familiar.

暇だったせいもあるかも知れないが、レセプションのおっさんが、グリークコーヒーと、おかん手作りの甘い、- なんかのフルーツの甘露煮みたいの出してくれた。英語ではこの果物の名前はわからんって言ってた。 チェックの時、絵葉書も二枚くれた。サービスええなあ、と思ってたら、もしよかったら、ええこと書いといて- ね、って控えめに言ったし、書くことにした。 部屋は、奇岩が目の前に見えてよかった。季節変動もある、宿泊代金やろうけど、値段の割りによかった。 レセプションのおじさんには、明るく、セイハローしといたら、サービスしてくれるかも。けど、こんなん向こ- うの気分の問題やから、あてにしたらあかんで。

2日間滞在しました。安宿がない地域で安くて綺麗なホテルです。 バルコニーからの景色は最高です。 スタッフがコーヒーとお菓子をサービスしてくれました。

部屋内でwifiが使えないのが残念。
