Aktaion Hotel    

Excellent friendly staff & justifiably proud owners. Beautiful traditional greek house restored to pristine condition with superb sea/harbour view location right in the hub of the laid-back Edipsou action. We went "wow!" when the owner's charming son showed us the room: modern, tasteful, spacious, splendid (if snug) sea-view balcony, aircon, well-trendy bathroom with Coco Mat goodies... everything you want and more. Brilliant stay and highly recommended. Handy for town beach, thermal beach and fast ferry to Arkitsa.

Because we are disabled we used the lift even though we were only on the first floor. The lift jammed between floors and nobody came when we repeatedly pressed the alarm bell. We then tried the emergency phone in the lift but it didn't seem to ring anywhere and was certainly unanswered at that time. In the end we had to rescue ourselves by wedging shut the internal door with my foot which restored the electrical contact and got the thing moving. We didn't use it again(!!). We just laughed it off, though, as we were having such a brilliant time but I mention it as it might freak some people out. Please stay here - it is fabulous: just don't use the lift.

The Actaion is a very friendly family run hotel, and we were made extremely welcome - nothing was too much trouble. Although a small hotel, this makes your stay very personal. The location was excellent - our room had a balcony and west facing sea view (our own sunset!). And the hotel itself has been renovated to a high standard yet in keeping with its history. We would go back tomorrow.

Our stay was too short!!!

As soon as you entered the room, you could smell Coco-Mat. Very tastefully furnished and comfortable. The bathroom was classes above most bathrooms in that price range. The rooms had soundproof balcony doors, which was good to block the noise from the main street. Location was excellent. Continental breakfast was served in the hotel's coffee shop.

To Aktaion ειναι ένα ένα ήσυχο και πολυτελές ξενοδοχείο που το συνιστώ ανεπιφύλακτα. πρόσφατα ανακαινισμένο και σου αποπνέει μια αίσθηση πολυτέλειας. η διακόσμηση του είναι λιτή, αλλά μοντέρνα σε σχέση με το παραδοσιακό κτίριο. εγώ και η οικογένεια μου ενθουσιαστήκαμε με τα στρώματα της Cocomat και την άριστη εξυπηρέτηση του προσωπικού. το πρωινό ήταν πάρα πολύ πλούσιο και το μπαράκι κάτω από το ξενοδοχείο έπαιζε χαλαρή μουσική που σου έδινε την αίσθηση ότι βρίσκεσαι σε εξωτικό νησί. χαλαρώσαμε, ξεκουραστήκαμε και σίγουρα θα το ξανά επισκεφθούμε!!!

ανετα στρώματα, μεγάλο δωμάτιο

ελλειπής φωτισμός στο μπάνιο

είναι ένα μικρό ξενοδοχείο (ανακαινισμένο νεοκλασσικό), επί της παραλίας της αιδηψού, πολύ κοντά στα λουτρά, διακοσμημένο με ιδιαίτερο γούστο! τα δωμάτιά του είναι σε απλές γραμμές αλλά αποπνέουν ένα διαχρονικά μοντέρνο αέρα και είναι επίσης πολύ φωτεινά και ευρύχωρα. οι ιδιοκτήτες, δύο νεαρά παιδιά, είναι πολύ φιλικοί με τους επισκέπτες τους και ευγενείς, μα πάνω από όλα εξυπηρετικοί! το μόνο σίγουρο είναι ότι θα τους επισκεπτώ ξανά και βέβαια το συνιστώ ανεπιφύλακτα για μια ευχάριστη διαμονή!

το ξενοδοχειο ηταν ακριβως η εννοια της φρασης value for money!!! ηταν απ'τις λιγες περιπτωσεις που τα λεφτα που δωσαμε (τα οποια σημειωτεον ηταν και λιγα), αντιστοιχουσαν σε αριστη ποιοτητα, εξυπηρετηση, διαμονη. το ξενοδοχειο ηταν πραγματικα υπεροχο και ενα τεραστιο μπραβο αξιζει στους ιδιοκτητες. προκειται για μια ζεστη και φιλοξενη οικογενειακη επιχειρηση, που κανει με τεραστια αγαπη και σεβασμο αυτο που κανει!! το δωματιο ηταν γουστοζικο, εξαιρετικα φινετσατο με απιστευτο μπανιο, κρεβατι, ψηλοτάβανο κλπ. το πρωινο επισης οπως επρεπε, ο,τι χρειαζεσαι και τπτ παραπανίσιο. συγχαρητηρια στο ακταιον και σιγουρα αν ποτε ξαναβρεθουμε αιδηψο, θα ειναι το μοναδικο που θα προτιμησουμε!!! πραγματικα ξεχωριστο!!!

τα μπαλκονια ηταν εξαιρετικα μικρα, αλλα αυτο ειναι ενα ''φαινομενο'' συχνο στα ενοικιαζομενα της αιδηψου, οποτε....δεκτο!!!

Amazing rooms, spacious, clean and very nicely designed. The location of the hotel is right next to the spas. The breakfast was very rich and delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Probably the best value for money hotel I have ever stayed in and is much better than other 4-5 star hotels I have stayed in.

είναι ένα ξενοδοχείο το οποίο οι ιδιοκτήτες του, το προσωπικό του και η διακοσμησή του σου δημιουργούν την αίσθηση οτι είσαι φιλοξενούμενος σε φιλικό ή συγγενικό σου σπίτι.ανεπυφύλακτα θα ήθελα να το ξαναεπισκεφτώ , μια και μας άρεσε και η περιοχή, αλλά σίγουρα το προτείνω σε όποιον θα ήθελε να μείνει στην αιδηψό.

το ξενοδοχείο είναι πολύ μελετημένο από την πλευρά της διακόσμησης και μοιάζει με ανακαινισμένο νεοκλασικό σε μοντέρνο style με έξυπνα ελληνικά στοιχεία(κάθε δωμάτιο έχει όνομα ενός μυθικού ήρωα,οποίο σε βάζει σε αρχαίο ελληνικό πνεύμα,και σε διασκεδάζει) ακόμα και στους διαδρόμους(παρόλο που είναι μικροί) υπάρχουν τόσο αναπαυτικά και όμορφα κομμάτια της επίπλωσης που δεν θέλεις να σηκωθείς από αυτά.όλο το μέρος φτιαγμένο απολύτως από καλύτερης ποιότητας υλικά,τα Coco-mat στοιχεία παντού,το στρώμα ήταν φοβερό! και ειδικές σακούλες με βότανα για καλύτερο ύπνο ήταν ότι πρέπει!όμορφα φωτιστικά παντού! το πρωινό μας σερβιρίστηκε στο δωμάτιο με την πρώτη επιθυμία μας και ήταν πραγματική έκπληξη,τόσο πλούσιο και νόστιμο,το προσωπικό ήταν πολύ καλό,δεν μπορώ ειλικρινά να βρω κανένα λάθος στοιχείο.να μην ξεχάσω και την θέα,ήταν όνειρο!!!

η θέση του, η καθαριότητα και η καλή συντήρηση των χώρων, ο εξοπλισμός του δωματίου, η εξυπηρέτηση.

H ζεστή και όμορφη διακόσμηση , η ζεστή υποδοχή και εξυπηρέτηση απο τους ιδιοκτήτες και το προσωπικό ,η τοποθεσία. Θα ξαναπάμε σίγουρα.

Lage des Hotels wird nicht korrekt beschrieben: direkt an der Hauptstraße und eine ÖFFENTL. Bar unten im Haus. Dadurch manchmal laut!

Location, clean rooms

Wifi was not available in all rooms as advertised, breakfast buffet had limited choices

Beautifully renovated, nice location.

Most rooms are upstairs, where the wifi doesn't reach; hostess was not ready with the password. Breakfast seemed almost an after-thought. Very noisy: downstairs the hotel runs a cafe, with very loud music late into the night.

Das Hotel ist super sauber, super Betten, tolles Bad und ein schöner Ausblick aufs Meer.Die Zimmer sind sehr modern eingerichtet. Fast besser als zu Hause. Das Frühstück und der Kaffee waren super lecker!!! Mehr Erholung geht kaum!!!

We liked the Coco Mat style; the design was modern and at the same time unique. The Bistro connected to the hotel was a very nice place for breakfast and a cool bar in the evening. We liked the location of the hotel in town and the incredible support of the staff helping us procure local wine and olive oil as well as giving us tips for things to do in the area.

We have three negative comments: The lighting in the bathroom was very poor. Despite our travel at the end of November there were a shocking number of mosquitoes in the room. Though the master bed has mosquito netting it was not an ideal means of keeping them away. Our baby had about 30 bites in his face alone after the first night. We would have liked to be warned ahead of time to keep the windows closed at all costs. The only solution against such a bad mosquito problems would be screens at the windows. Thirdly, our greatest complaint is that our reservation stated that internet access was available in the room. This was not true. Internet access was only functioning in the Bistro.

Sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal, sehr schöne und geschmackvolle Zimmerausstattung, alles sehr sauber.

Das Familienzimmer lag ebenerdig direkt mit Blick auf die Tische im Café, also konnten wir die Fenster nach vorne nicht öffnen und das Zimmer blieb ziemlich dunkel. Die Musik im Café lief bis 4h morgens, leider in einer Lautstärke, die uns den Schlaf raubte. Eine verfrühte Abreise wurde uns problemlos ermöglicht.
