Tourlos is pretty much just the port so v v busy either ferries and most days 3 or 4 cruise ships as well. Doesn’t have a village feel the hotel is on a very busy main road with no pavement so you can’t really walk along to explore.

Definitely the magnificent views and the friendliness of the people. We were told that food and drinks were expensive. But there are plenty of restaurants that had more reasonable prices. To get the most of our trip there, we rented an auto so we can travel to other beaches to avoid the strong winds. There are also less expensive vehicles to rent like ATV, motorcycles, and vespas.

Tourlos is at the best a suburb of Mykonos, and we didn't see anything special; The place is in a few kilometers distance from Mykonos center. To get there on foot, make sure you have good knees and ankles. Shopping food and specially water is not straight forward around the area. Specially carrying water , if you do no have a car, it would be tiresome. The tab water is only usable for taking shower. The hostess was kind enough to leave a bottle of water for drinking to start with.

Tourlos is certainly a less expensive alternative to Mykonos Old Town---as a hotel location---while proving easy and inexpensive access (€2/passenger with the Sea Bus) to the Mykonos Old Town. The island of Mykonos is ,however,---as a preferred party island for especially the younger visitors---not my preferred Greek Island, for exploring historic sites or even enjoying places with a unique volcanic history and topography (like Santorini)....

Tourlos is definitely a great reference point for exploring the island of Mykonos. The hotel prices are reasonabe when compared with those in Mykonos town, and also in comparison to the hotels in the vicinity of the popular beaches in the South of the island. And, should you arrive or depart from the New Port of Mykonos to any of the other islands, your hotels are mostly in walking distance to the departure/arrival point of the New Port.
And, the airport is also reasonably close, so that most hotels are offering a free shuttle service upon your arrival at Mykonos Airport.
I would definitely come back to Tourlos, and even to the same hotel, based on my pleasant experiences with the hotel operators.

The property is excellent. Good location, close to the downtown, the old and new Port, and very accessible to the main road. 4 minutes for the airport. The apartment it’s very lightly, with a beautiful sea view, and balcony. Very clean and have all the amenities that you need to just arrive and use it. Maria (the host) is incredibly kind and easy-going, very responsive, give all the tips to make your stay the best one. We totally back to this place, I recommended it 100%. Thanks Maria for everything!
The view was stunning. Maria, the receptionist was really really nice and available. She gave us recommandations, prices to eventually book a car, a scooter or an ATV.
The room was as described, everything was functional and clean.
We could call Tony if we wanted to drive us from the hotel to any place or to take us back to the hotel if needed. We used this possibility once.
The guest Maria was super friendly and helpful and the staff he was so kind , helpful and friendly, Location was great so it’s easy to take the sea bus to old town and near by a supermarket and Rivera Hotel which you can enjoy a heated sea water swimming pool, for the studio it’s self it was comfortable and clean with good beds and all the basic necessities for a quick travel
The hotel was accross the harbour, they provide a pick up, but we did go by ourselves.
Friendly owner and staff. Our ferry was delayed for 3 hours, they let us stay in the lobby, which was very nice. They also let us know when the ferry was coming, thank you.
1 bottle of water each for our entire stay, spacious room with a great view, sunrise and sunset.
Location is nice, very near to Seabus and public bus pick up point.
I like the breakfast.
Staff are very helpful and responsive. I lost my airpod at the hotel, and they managed to help me pass my airpod to another guest who was coming to Santorini where I was at. I’m very grateful about this. Will definitely come back for sure!
Everything was perfect actually! This hotel has all the things it promises. It is a nice family business with helpful and friendly owners. The breakfast was great, the view from our room was perfect. We didn't even want to go outside the hotel because of our perfect scene with spectacular sunset. Thanks for everything!
Everything was wonderful, they were all very helpful and hospitable. We meet the owner and you can tell the passion he has about his property. It is a boutique hotel with everything you need. It is not next to the old port but it is easy to get to with the water bus available across the street.
the rooms were decorated amazingly and was always cleaned to a very high standard. The views on either side of the hotel were breathtaking. the host was extremely nice going above and beyond to be accomadating. a very good location within a 15 minute walk from the town and the port.
Beautiful hotel. They gave us a complimentary 4 room grade upgrade to a deluxe room with a large balcony and hot tub.staff was super friendly and helpful. Daily turn down service at night. Excellent breakfast and complimentary shuttle to and from mykonos town.
The location was right near the main ferry port, so the walk was nay about 10 minutes to the hotel. Very easy walk. Also, the water taxi was a short 5 minute walk to catch when you need to go into town.
Very nice host. High standard of the hotel, beautiful rooms and environment. Tip top! Close walk to the a small ferry that going between new the old harbour.
The reliable, free airport/ port transfer service. The people working there were super friendly. The Sea Bus to Mykonos time is just in front of the hotel.
