Needs carefully renovation

The location was superb. The area quiet and very rural. We went on a bed and breakfast basis and the breakfasts were tasty and varied.The owner and staff were friendly and helpful. All in all a great "get away from it all" destination

There was nothing I didn't particlarly like about Albouro. The nearest cash machine was a 15 euro taxi ride away, but that is hardly their fault

Excellent location - property is on the beach, apartments are about 30m inside the property, while the restaurant, where breakfast is served, is literally on the beach. We were staying it the 2 level apartment and the view was great: the sea from the balcony and top floor window, and the mountainous landscape from the rear. Perfect climate too, with nice breeze coming down from the mountain in the evening. Staff, Nondas and Monica, were really friendly and helpful. Our family had great time at Albouro Apartments, Katelios and Kefalonia.

Maid occasionally needed to be reminded that towels need to be changed. We were told this would be done every day, but it seems she had different interpretation. Not a big deal, since all our requests were answered promptly. Otherwise, cleaning was done correctly.

Albouro Sea Front Apartments has an idyllic location in Katelios. It's perfectly placed between the best beach on the left and the restaurants on the right. You can have an outstanding breakfast every morning right by the sea. The rooms are very large and well equipped, and there is a real feeling of space and privacy. There aren't too many people crowded in, as in a standard hotel, and the building itself has been very attractively converted. The staff are very friendly and helpful, but also unobtrusive if you don't need their help. There are lots of very nice touches, like the bookcase of English books to swap, the ease of getting a taxi or hiring a car, and advice on the beaches and places to eat. Katelios is a small, relaxed and very friendly place, perfect for a beach-based holiday. I'd recommend booking one of Captain Vangeli's cruises from Skala, which you can do from a shop in Katelios.

Excellent location, practically on the beach. Lovely sea view from the balcony. Rooms very clean and spacious. No frills but exactly what we were expecting. Highly recommend these apartments and Katelios for people looking for a relaxing break. Breakfast was a nice touch for a self catering apartment.

Friendly, helpful, family run apartments metres from the beach. The perfect location for a relaxing holiday. Large well maintained apartments with wonderful balconies and views. I would highly recommend these apartments and I will be returning.

Struttura posta a pochi passi dal mare e dalle taverne di Katelios, quindi molto comoda per una vacanza rilassante. Il proprietario è una persona davvero gentile e disponibile per qualsiasi necessità degli ospiti e l'appartamento era ampio e con una bella terrazza affacciata sul mare. Non dimenticheremo facilmente l'ottima colazione servita praticamente sulla spiaggia in una pace assoluta, davanti ad un mare cristallino e sempre calmo. La spiaggia è di sabbia scura ma l'acqua è pulitissima, infatti è frequentata prevalentemente da persone del posto. Una sera nuotando non lontano dalla spiaggia davanti all'albergo ho fatto il bagno con una tartaruga, un'altra esperienza indimenticabile. Consigliatissimo.

La disponibilità e gentilezza del titolare e la posizione

La colazione era buonissima. La pulizia quotidiana e accurata. La posizione tranquilla e veramente sul mare

L'appartamento in cui siamo stati era luminoso e spazioso, molto silenzioso e circondato da un gradevole giardino, con un ampio balcone con vista sul mare. La struttura è adattissima per famiglie con bambini piccoli in cerca mare pulito, relax e tranquillità; è, infatti, molto vicina a diverse belle spiaggie di sabbia con fondale basso e di facile accesso (Ag. Barbara dista neppure 200 mt; Kaminia, Mounda e Skala sono raggiungibili in 10-15 min di auto). Fantastica la colazione servita sotto una tettoia a pochi passi dal mare! I proprietari ed il personale sono stati gentili e disponibili.

Anche se la dotazione dell'appartamento era sostanzialmente completa e funzionante, il buon Nontas - il proprietario degli appartamenti - dovrebbe innovare un pò l'arredamento (piuttosto malmesso) ed I bagni (orribili le tendine alle docce), nonché premurarsi di dotare gli apparttamenti di zanzariere alle finestre. La posizione del paesino di Katelios non è l'ideale per coloro che hanno in mente di girare molto l'isola e, soprattutto, di visitare la parte nord.

Ottima la posizione, praticamente in riva al mare con accesso diretto alla spiggia e a due passi da bar e ristoranti. La distanza è perfetta perchè garantisce tranquillità sia di giorno sia di notte. Molto buona la colazione, curata e servita sulla veranda in riva al mare. Gentilissimo il proprietario il quale fornisce molte informazioni utili. Pulita la biancheria di camera e bagno.

Nota dolente l'acqua che usciva dalla doccia (con tendina) e la scarsa pulizia di quest'ultimo rispetto al resto dell'appartamento.

La pozizione, la pulizia, la cortesia. Qualche stoviglia in più in cucina non sareebbe male.

I really liked that the apartment is in a nice privat peaceful garden. The sea is very close. In my opinion this apartment is located in the best place in Katelios village. The accommodation is extraordinarily big compare with other apartments. The view from the balcony is beautiful. You can hear in your room the sound of the sea. The breakfast was kingly. Heavenly foods are by the sea. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They gave a lot of useful advise about where to go, what to see and if you need something they serve your requests at once.

The staff particularly Nondas were extremely helpful and friendly. Throughout our two week stay, our apt was cleaned daily, and good quality bed linen and towels changed every third day. The breakfast provided is a lovely touch particularly as the eating area overlooks the beach. This was our first visit to Kefalonia and we loved it. Hiring a car was no effort as Nondas sorted this out for us within hours. The island coach trip enabled us to tour the further beauty spots without having to drive We will return to the Albouro Sea Front Apartments, which for us will be a first as we usually seek out new experiences. Why risk it when this place ticks all the boxes!

I've been this hotel before and I always was very satisfied with Albouro Apartments. The location is still perfect, the athmosphere is still super friendly, the split level apartments are very comfortobale for 4 adults too, the seaview is amazingly beautiful, and the hotel owner renovated the hotel freshly, so Albouro Apartments is nicer then it was before. If you are going to Kefalonia then treat yourself to a stay here.

La docccia non era il massimo, il doccino non si poteva appendere e causa tenda si allagava ogni volta il bagno. La televisione con due soli canali greci: non pretendevo di vedere la rai ma almeno un canale internazionale sì (bbc, CNN,ecc...)

It was a nice apartment, very quiet, and nicely kept. The breakfast was served on a deck directly on the beach. The staff was very friendly and gave us tips on where to go. It was located near the beach, and near a village with a variety of restaurants and taverns, that you could walk to.

the peaceful location

We stayed there for 6 nights and we enjoyed the Kefalonia island very much. The hotel is very near from the beach and the tavernas and restaurants, so it is very useful, but is still very quiet. In the beginning of our stay, the moon was not very big so we enjoyed the star watching from the balcony...we even saw some shooting stars and milky way, which were very beautiful. We loved their balcony. The hotel staffs are very kind and helpful. Also they have good breakfast which you can eat in front of the sea.

You can imagine this hotel like a lodge house from mountain. You can enjoy the nice breeze from the sea and wild atmosphere, but at the same time the amenity is very poor(you have to bring soaps and everything with you) and the shower has problems (not only hot water,but also cold water sometimes did not run well). Air-conditioner is maybe too small for the large room.

What did I like the most about Albouro Apartments? For example: the best location, the seaview from the balcony, the delicious breakfast next to the sea, the helpful nice breakfast lady and the hotelmanager, the big high standard room
