Hotel Alkyon    

Everything! The Staff were wonderful and willing to bend over backwards to help with anything from having a sandwich to booking an ATV, the price was unbelievable, the breakfast was great (cereals, pastries, eggs, sausages, veg, cut meats, cheeses, coffee, juice, etc), the rooms were clean, spacious and well kept with huge raised ceilings, beds had very comfortable pillows and linens, and the balconies were large and had amazing views (as did the pool and reception patio and breakfast areas).

Great views, lovely reception and pool area. Staff really friendly and helpful. Large room with huge balcony. Booked the night before and we were met at the port on arrival. Great service.

Hotel is on steep hill with many steps, not suitable for the elderly, but well worth the climb for the awesome views we had.

1.Extremely kind and helpful staff. 2. The hotel car was waiting for us at the port when we arrived and it also took us to the port when it was time for us to leave. 3. The view from the pool was incredible. 4.Although it is close to the city of Mykonos, the hotel enjoys peace and quiet. 5.The price was low considering what this hotel offers as a whole.

Great hotel, close to the city, friendly staff, very clean and awesome view

My husband and I recently stayed 4 nights at this hotel. The staff was absolutely amazing and it was by far the best price we have paid for a hotel since we have been traveling in Europe, and we never would have thought it was have been so stunning at such a budget price. Perfect location, beautiful view, comfortable rooms.

Fabulous location. Spacious and very clean room with large balcony and great views. Lovely clean swimming pool with ample (comfortable) sunbeds. Wide selection of foods at breakfast. Attentive and friendly service from the outset, helpful information about the island given. Courtesy vehicle to airport

Hotel first class. Only downside to the location was the slightly difficult walk down to the town and steep walk back. Taxis cheap though and readily available.

very very good location and view. not so far away from the city center and the famous attractions(if you know the shortcuts). And good services. free shuttle for both airport and sea-port picking up. good The reception helped us so much and I will choose it again if I go to Mykonos again. We missed the ferry for some reasons, and the lady from reception was nice to help us cancel the hotel on that day to minimize our losses, and also helped us order for dinner. I have to say she was the best reception I've never seen.

This hotel was absolutely gorgeous. It is a family-owned hotel and the young lady working the front desk was so helpful and wonderful to talk to! I went with a good friend and she made our stay wonderful! The hotel was even prettier than the pictures and the view from the hotel was breathtaking. The breakfast that is included is also great. They served Greek cookies, fresh eggs (hard-boiled & scrambled), bacon, sausage, mushrooms, cereal, coffee, tea, jams, deli meats, cheeses, fresh bread, etc. It was more than I expected. The walk from the hotel is easy to the city center. I definitely encourage taking a taxi back up the hill though. I would definitely recommend this hotel to people. It was just simply fantastic!! The pool and deck area overlook Mykonos Town. It is also great to just look and have a glass of wine. You could never get bored of that view. It's a must!!

Excellent hotel, fantastic value for money. Rooms spotlessly clean and towels changed every day. Breakfast was very good and staff very friendly. We were able to stay in our room until our transfer to the airport was ready at 12 noon

Internet was promised throughout the hotel. But apart from first day we were,nt able to connect to it in our room. We had to go to the pool area , breakfast room or main lobby to be able to use it. Mykonos town was very expensive and not always tourist friendly. We bought 2 small beers and 2 small glasses of local wine in little Venice, a bar called Veranda, it cost us 29 euros. On another occasion, my husband ordered a t bone steak in different restaurant, the fillet side of the steak was detached from the bone and clearly did not come from the same piece of meat as it was far too small compared to the rest of the steak. On being challenged the staff were defensive and swore that they had not removed the fillet and replaced it with another piece of meat. All i can say is that they must have some deformed cattle on the island. We did not return there!

The room is very spacious, clean and comfortable. The staffs are very friendly and informative; also they provide free transportation to and from the port. The WIFI coverage within the hotel vicinity is good; not perfect but adequate. The hotel is only a short walk from town however walking back to hotel can be difficult because the hotel is on a sloped hill.

Kind, friendly, nice staff. Pick up and transfer service are offered by the hotel. We admire the reception desk. She offered us great help. She gave us the city map and suggested all the informations that we could get. (Restaurant, nearby beach, sightsee in the island). 100% Perfect. The room with the sea view is great! Strong recommendation to tourists!

The only tiny disadvange is that the hotel is located in a hill. If you rent a car or moto or take a taxi, there is no problem. But if you walk up and down, you will have to take some efforts.

Very helpful staffs ,the hotel has pick up service fm Port and sent us to the airport without charges. Nice location , you can see the town and sea view fm the room directly .Breakfast also good. If you need rent car, the staff in reception will help to arrange,and help to return the car as well.

I loved this hotel and my stay there. The location is perfect: it is out of busy center of Mykonos town, but it takes only 7-10 minutes to get there by foot. It's a little bit difficult to walk up the hill on the way back to the hotel, but it's all about Greek islands - hills and stairs everywhere, so it's not a big deal. Especially taking in account a wonderful view from the hotel and no parking problems if you rent a car I have no words to describe the attitude of staff and the service - it was amazing! Really very helpful: starting from giving all the necessary information about the island and ending with picking me up at the port at 10 pm (it was rather windy and, of course, the ferry was late).

I loved everything about Alkyon Hotel. The staff were fantastic very helpful and friendly. The location amazing and only a short walk to the town centre. The rooms were large very clean and very comfortable. Fantastic views of the harbour.

There is nothing to dislike about this property.

Location ! This hotel is right by the airport. We got off a cruise in Mykonos and needed a nice hotel. The pool had a view of the entire downtown and harbor. And it was just a few steps down the hill to the shopping district. The hotel picked us up in the city center and also dropped us off at the airport the next morning at 530 am at no additional cost. Hotel is Gay friendly. Actually I did not see any straight people there.

The rooms are set up a little bit weird. The tv is not mounted by the bed and our room had no view of anything. But for 1 night we were able to deal with it. The air conditioning is also set up in a small room where the tv is located so it took about 4 hours to cool off the room, the staff does not bring you or your bags to the room, You must do it yourself. I would not use this hotel if you suffer from a disability or trouble walking.

Staffs are very helpful and kind. Beautiful and clean room with very good view of Sunset.

The staff were very friendly and attentive, particularly Sophia, she could not do enough to make our stay memorable. Beautiful hotel and setting. Highly recommended.

Lack of food choice in the hotel

Had a wonderful stay! The hotel is cosy and rather luxurious. Staff very friendly and they pick you up and bring you back to the port/airport.

Loved this hotel. Great location, great price, beautiful view from our balcony. Breakfast was superb. Sophia at the front desk was wonderful. A short 10 minute or so walk into the beautiful Mykonos city. I would return and recommend in a heartbeat.

Internet was working but would lose signal frequently. They also didn't get our three emails about pickup at the ferry port because they said they were having trouble with emails going into their spam folder. Hopefully they will get that fixed soon.

Amazing view of Mykonos town. Great pool, Always sun beds available. Lovely breakfast on patio with view. Extremely friendly staff. Little misunderstanding in the beginning, but after once memtioning my concern I was moved right away to the room I really loved. Free transportation to and from airport, real advice on restaurant and sightseeing tours. No words to describe how happy I am with Alkyon hotel!

Excpect walking up/down the hill as for view of the city you have to pay by climbing the stairs every time you want to go to or back from the city. Not big deal cause it takes just 10 min to get to centre of old town.
