The staff was excellent, helpful and very friendly. Breakfast was nice. A 4 star hotel should provide free WiFi internet access to their customers and not charge it 5 euro per day. (Many of the hotels in the area provide free WiFi internet access)

All staff were extremely friendly and the hotel was lovely. The breakfast was the best I have experienced in europe and all the staff in the restaurant were really hospitable. Would definately recomend. the pillows were abit soft but the reception was happy to provide more pillows.

Great location close to Plaka, stores, metro, Acropolis, gardens and other tourist spots. Also free internet which was a great plus. Foyer and coffee cafe aliso good. We requested a quiet room off the main road and got one. However, decor of room disappointing and dated. Colours of orange and brown drab. Bed was comfortable however but bed linen not good quality - no quilt but a brown cotten throw instead. Didn't like being in the room. Would only recommend for location.

Central location, nice, comfortable, clean room. real 4 star hotel All of the staff at the reception disregarded the bypassing guests. During 4 days of stay and may be 20 times bypassing, we were greeted only once with a smile. All the other times they stared as guests where not existent,

The hotel is very well located near the main monuments and also close to shops and restaurants ,very quiet although in a principal road. The breakfast buffet was excellent many things to choose and nice , but we would have liked some more fruit. It is a pity they do not have some tables and chairs in the top terrace where you can have something from the bar downstairs because the views are splendid. We miss a boiler in the room to have a tea

We were upgraded from a standard double room to a deluxe room free of charge. The room was awesome, huge bed, a large balcony with a view over the parliament building, nice bathroom and all. Good location right next to the Syntagma station, standard breakfast, nothing fancy, pretty much what you'd expect from a 4-star hotel. Overall, a very nice couple days we spent there.

Amalia Hotel was very well situated in the heart of Athens. Very close to all attractions and transport. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were large, well appointed and very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Hotel was extremely well priced considering location. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed at Amalia hotel for 5 nights. Two adults and one child. On our arrival they upgraded our room to a deluxe room. A very comfortable king size bed and a single bed. Breakfast was great with a lot of choices. Airport bus (x95) stops 50 metres away from the hotel. Very convenient. Metro and bus trams are only across the road. Shopping district is only 200m away from the hotel and the major archeological sites (acropolis etc) only 10 minutes walking distance. The hotel had free internet access in room and in the lobby. One of the best hotel I have ever stayed in terms of cleanness, location and helpfulness of its staffs. I would recommend this hotel to every body. If I go back to Athens I would definitely stay at amalia hotel.
